Heck yea man glad to hear! The Fluval 13.5 is a really great tank but the more space the better. Plus IM is a great brand!

Cool video and gorgeous tanks! I've been doing freshwater for several years and dove into saltwater 5 months ago. My only regret is that I didn't get into saltwater sooner! I started out with softies, then LPS and recently got a few beginner SPS. I was surprised that I don't see any UV filters or protein skimmers yet your tanks look amazingly crystal clear and clean!

That’s so awesome to hear!! I’m glad you’re enjoying the dark side of the hobby ;) once you’ve got the itch it’s hard to turn away haha. But yes! No uv sterilizers or skimmers at the moment. I do want to get skimmers for the tanks tho

    Love a good softy tank!
What do you run alk/ca at? I am surprised you have to dose with the water changes!

To be honest I don’t know my numbers! Very lazy I know 😭 but I will rest here soon. You’re probably right too, I don’t need to dose with frequent water changes haha

When testing the water what are the most important parameters to watch for soft coral? and how often would you do it? I am currently cycling a 6-gallon cube for fish and soft coral I have an API saltwater test kit do you think I need the API reef test kit as well? Great video btw

I do have both saltwater and reef API kits. However I have been slowly adding Hanna test kits to my collection. For softies I would test for alk. And also know your nitrates and phosphates as they feed off of those a little

Is buying pre mixed saltwater cheaper then just buying the salt and mixing it your self?

    • @jdhaquatics6096
