    I have Acer Aspire A5151-51G ,. I have a weird problem.. both of my shift keys stopped working .. and after that rarely both of them work for 2 minutes or so. Then again doesn't work.

    Do you think it's only the problem of particular key...
    Even if we assume this as problem, how can both the shift have same problem..

    Acer rep says they have no replacement top keys for the Aspire A515-43-R19L. I needed just the top key itself as my fingernail scratched it off over time. Upon visiting various sites that claim to have them, they first have you identify which type under clip you have. Well, the images they have don't match what's on my keyboard.

    • @EggheadFixers
      @EggheadFixers  Год назад

      Ya even the same model computer can have more than one version of the keyboard. You can always order used ones on ebay and see if they will work. Sometimes we have to buy more than one to get one with the same kind of clip.

      The part of the retainer clip with the two plastic posts goes on the upper part and the part of the retainer clip without the posts goes on the part closer to the touchpad. You can always take the key cap off another key and compare if you are not sure which way it goes. Hope that helps
