I’ve tried OMAD a few times and I find that the biggest challenge is how food plays such a big role in social gatherings. It’s always someone’s birthday, family comes over for dinner late after my eating window, etc. I wish more people understood that intermittent fasting is a healthy lifestyle, because I have so many people thinking that I’ve developed an eating disorder.

I was able to lose 127 pounds in 9 months by doing intermittent fasting and eating the foods that Dr. Berg recommended in his videos. Also, I stayed away from foods that Dr.Berg recommend to not eat. I feel way much better. Since I lost 127 pounds, I don’t get hungry as often and don’t get fatigue as I use too. To anyone watching and listening, if I can do it, so can you. Just listen and take note to everything Dr. Berg is saying. Go back and watch all of his latest videos. That will help a great deal.

theres no sugar in pure cocoa a.k.a dark chocolate, its also the healthiest snack because of their content of good fats and hdl cholesterol. make it urself or buy it, but if u buy it, they are not always 0% added sugar. so look at like 90 to 99% pure cocoa on the label and look at the nutritions fact and ingredients.

Intermittent Fasting Pros: cheap, easy, extra time, live longer, smarter, better mood, less diseases
Cons: buy new clothes, too much time on hands
Stage 1: 3 meals without snacking in between
Stage 2: 2 meals without snacking in between
Stage 3: 2 meals with 6 hour eating window
Stage 4: 1 meal a day without snacking
    Stage 5: prolonged fasting (2, 3, or 5 days)
Fasting (both IF and prolonged) has been an absolute game changer for me. Have regularly been doing it for 8 years now, and eventually led me to the door of the keto world. Had I not known fasting and keto, I likely would've been a diabetic by now.

I'm glad to hear that. If you can find a way to do the 30min of exercise a couple hours before you end your fast your results will be even more incredible. Also try not to eat for a couple hours after you get done exercising. This will allow your body to use the fuel it has stored (fat), instead of what you are eating.
This could be achieved by exercising in the morning instead of eating and then adjusting your first meal to an early lunch and your second meal to an afternoon dinner,

I am taking supplements for my liver, vitamins, walking, drinking black coffee and herbal teas during the day, and boiled lemon, ginger, and garlic water in the morning (I keep a batch in my fridge), fermenting foods and doing the one meal a day eating very scant amounts of medicinal foods good for liver health, diabetes, and overall health (which are usually the same foods). I will add that I had some unexpected health issues that prevents my small intestine from breaking down most sugars and starch. I just happen to be lactose intolerant and very sensitive to gluten as well. On one hand it helps because I’m so restricted on what I can eat and the downside is being so restricted. It is often overwhelming when I try to go out and eat with friends.

I've been doing intermittent fasting for 6+ years now without knowing it. I eat once a day, a big hearty meal with veggies meat and carbs. The reason is I'm not a breakfast person, I'm never hungry in the morning. Also, I could never decide what to eat for lunch without cooking a full blown meal, when I did I wouldn't be hungry for supper. I also didn't grow up snacking, culturally we don't snack unless its fruit or veggies. Store bought snacks were too expensive growing up. This all led me eating supper only. I'm always certain of what I want to cook for supper so it's the meal time I pay more attention too. I also drink fermented milk everyday, it's my favourite 😋

@@runig549 first you need to be fully keto adapted, you will not feel the desire to eat after a 24 hours fasting. When you feel ready just push through that desire to eat for another 24 hours. When you feel light headed have a glass of water with a little salt and a multivitamin pill. When it gets tough and you feel you might give-up "feast" on a bullet-proof coffee. Read up on re-feeding-syndrome before you do your first long fast. Have in mind your first post-fast meal, meat protein in hot water is what I use. For those who have done this or are thinking let me tell you, I'm on my 15th month and it's worked great. I'm totally amazed that everything Dr Berg said in this video was spot on my experience, complete with having to buy multiple new jeans for 3 different waist sizes. I plateaued off at month 9 after shedding 52 pounds and like some I have had blood work performed every 6 months plus some additional. There is however one thing he did not mention and I just lately found out about. I was on the 5th day of a fast when I did my last blood work and the numbers are remarkable however, I was rated "PRE-DIABETIC". This was from a heart screening service outside of my normal physicians appointments. The reason was a 113 glucose reading. I later discovered fasting produces a ton of growth hormone which is an antagonist of insulin so higher glucose numbers are common during this time. All other glucose readings have been in the 70's and 80's off overnight fasts. Just my 2 cents.

Dr. Berg, I started watching your video Wednesday. I'm feeling hopeless until I saw your video on intermittent fasting. At first I'm having a hard time understanding what it means. I kept watching videos after videos of yours and now I know what to do. Now that I have your videos that helps me motivate to keep going. Thank you so much.

@Dr. Eric Berg DC thank you so much for helping many people like myself. Who have had major issues with being overweight.
I just wanted to mention my experience with intermittent and prolonged fasting. Firstly, I am prone to getting the gout. I didn't research your videos enough, as you've mentioned in them. That IF can increase the uric acid levels.
My uric acid levels almost doubled, the normal levels. After doing 6mths of IF/PF and Keto. I got some major issues with my foot and ankle. To the point where I was unable to walk or stand on it.
I eventually watched your videos on the gout and uric acid levels. My foot is getting better. But it's taken me 6-8wks for this to happen. I almost quit the Keto way of eating.
But I had already lost major weight.
With the right research and your videos, it's getting better slowly but surely. Your videos and YT channel have saved my life. Thank you so much... Life is much better for me now. Many thanks from NZ 💯❤️

Last year, I was on IF for like few months and I really saw the results...now that I no longer am fasting, the numbers really went high and I'm already obese. So thankful I've watched your videos coz I'm gonna give IF one more try! I'd be back on this comment soon to share results! I'm so excited and much more happy to do IF this time. :)

I was doing for one year the intermittent fasting some days 2 meals, and then one meal per day. Never felt better, the energy, stamina were amazing. I had problems with my thyroid never been on medication, but improved my antibodies even and TSH hormone. My iron levels were amazing, my doctor was amazed how high it was. I have written in past tense, because thanks to this I got pregnant. Pregnancy thankfully was perfect, I was active throughout the whole pregnancy until the last week.
I am again on the same path. Because I experienced all the benefits, can tell that the body and mind are completely different. I’ve been intermittent fasting for almost 2 years now. There have been episodes where I’ve gone off the rails but I always get back on. I no longer have to plan when I’m going to eat or what I’m going to eat because the process has become a lifestyle and part of how I conduct my life. I use a four hour window a day, usually between 12 and 4 PM during which I eat. I try to maintain healthy food choices and select foods from many different food groups. The benefits have Being incredible. I no longer have serious issues with blood sugars, blood pressure and I no longer suffer with aches and pains that almost crippled me on a daily basis. My weight loss from the beginning of my fasting, has been over 40 pounds. I do have other serious health issues that fasting doesn’t seem to have helped with, however, because I feel so much better, it’s much easier to deal with at all.

10 months ago I went keto and that made me feel pretty good. Two months ago I went dairy carnivore and recently went to OMAD and this has launched me into an amazing place. I highly recommend this everyone. BUT..... the one food I eat at around 18 hours is a few sardines and three or four anchovy filets. I do this for the Omega 3 spike. The amount of fish I'm eat is way under two ounces and it doesn't seem to affect the OMAD fast.
