- Early run on one of the new monsters! This is a good milestone for now. I do like this fight a lot even if it can get annoying with the new slime mechanic... I'll try to improve it ! Raging Brachy brought me back my Lightbreak Timbre, the beautiful HH. I'm so happy :D

For an "early run" that sure as hell was very well-though out! Great execution!

This dude has an insane amount of blast resistance. If he didn’t he’d be taking mad damage.

@@tylerguhh2704with 3 blast res you can negate the blast blight effect so more attack less dodging e less dying

2 questions tho:
1)any reason why u didnt tenderize the head the whole run?
2)if u are using an elemental HH why not upgrade it to have more element? is it better to just have more raw for most matchups?

1) Raging brachy is massive. I tried but I cannot hit the head reliably. I had to go for the forearms instead. My best openings were when raging was down...outside of that, pretty complicated.
2) I don't know exactly the ele hitzones yet. I preferred going with raw especially because, as you can see, it's hard to fit in echo attacks safely before the last phase. Also whenever a part is covered in red slime, it takes more damage from raw than elemental. I knew it was weak to ice and went with a raw version instead. You can treat the ice here as a bonus on top.

Amazing run, new HH player and monster hunter in general and had a question i was hoping you might answer: when should you go for echo impact over spin to win?
And how many impact songs does it take to not be a damage loss? I am trying to make use of it after your video on the subject but still finding if difficult to weave in properly.
Late answer, but Impact tends to deal more KO damage/stun build up, hints the impact part of its name.
safi armorskill is so good for HH, with the brachy armor you get agitator 7 and resentment 4 with all the goodies

I love health boost note set but is there reason to use it over all melody effects extended in the run?
I'm not using that song list specifically because it's that one. With atk melody 4 (melody extended) it takes longer to queue up my songs at the beginning and by the time I'm ready, brachy is already moving.
It was messing with my opener. I needed to get to him faster, hence why I preferred this song list because it's faster to prebuff. I could've used atk melody 1 (mad bone) or 2 (seething bazel) instead for the same purpose.
Why did u run this set and not the crit ele safi set?

Yes it is. Having blast resistance helped relieve the stress. I would recommend using that as well !
Did you use a Teo awakening on the horn? What awakenings did you use, it scrolled too fast to see.

I see you use Safi +Teo - is it better than Safikhana for Elemental HH?
No no no. Safi/Velk is better for elemental, but we do not know for sure the hitzones for this monster. I went with a raw oriented set for that reason. Also it's pretty hard to spin on this guy because it doesn't fall down much.
@@Doos from the pep cb runs I did I think his elemental hitzones are mire resistant, atleast for ice and when if you knock the slime off itll do normal dmg, was like 30 dmg per Phil on arms/face and 200 or more without slime

Out of curiosity, why do you fire dung pods on the ground?
Monster will look towards any slinger ammo you shoot at a surface. He did this to get the slinger burst without any claw attacks

Is Yuuki a HH user ? Not familiar with them. Ta wiki ? Oh no lol. It's a tough fight. The last area feels amazing but before reaching it, the fight is more complicated than regular brachy. Biggest issue is not being able to hit the head reliably for me.
I'll try my hands at TA once I'm more familiar with the fight

Why attack melody 3 awaken instead of 4?
My guess is it's faster to set up AUL. With attack melody 3 you don't have to do the double note (triangle+O) which has quite a long animation. AUL for attack melody 3 can be performed pretty quickly with only 3 animations. As opposed to attack melody 4, which has 4 long winded notes
How many hunts did you do to get these results?

It took me 3 tries to clear it solo (I triple carted on my first hunt). Then I tried pushing down the time, from 11'08 to 08'57. Took me like 8 hunts (2 of these were resets).

@@atlasdgen No worries. As long as you strive for self-improvement (no pun intended) you can do it ! If you look back on some of my runs, in the MHW era, I wasn't particularly good. With practice and more knowledge I was able to improve :)
How is it that u dont have knockbacknresistance but i see few attacks hitting u but jot getting flinch

Rando I was doing safi with on PC yesterday kept referring to HH as a "support weapon". Linked him this vid. He no longer refers to it with such a demeaning name.
Still is a support weapon. He used demondrugs etc, he just did what any other weapon can do faster than the huntinghorn. Dont get me wrong. I love hh, but it needs more moves or a lil dmg buff so it can be more fun to utilize. Doubt it will get that tho.
Kim Berg seeing as how it actually out dps’s most weapons with its attack buffs and the grace note spam i would call it what the old HH mains always call it. A dps weapon that just so happens to apply buffs. Solo you basically make yourself a super soldier.
