Now that's a time I'm happy with ! Kulve Taroth is now solo scaled for Master Rank so it was about time I gave it a shot. Today I'm featuring a new Hunting Horn which got an amazing upgrade from this monster : Kjaar Pipe Crusher ! This blast HH is now our strongest option for said status. Raw wise it is slightly weaker than shatterhorn. HOWEVER, the amount of blast you can get on this HH is very high. While the shatterhorn still has a lot more room for customization, this is the blast weapon is the one you'll want for sure. Make sure you upgrade or grab it !

The kjarr krusher became my fav weapon and suddenly you use it too xd.
Hey AmaDEUS, when you weaken the chest before you wallbang her in the first stage, her chest will break immediatly.

In case you haven't realized, when she does her new long-windup-body slam on area 4, what you have to dodge is the lava splashing from below, not the body slam.
I think i saw you rolled too early when she does that but saved by the extended evade window from evasion mantle. I don't know whether that was intentional or not.
At 06:35 and 06:49, the attack clearly misses me. You can tell because there is no visual indicator nor sound cue of the evasion mantle being triggered.
I do appreciate the tip tho ! This attack is rather complicated to deal with.
Edit: it's even more apparent at 06:49 because right after that I do dodge an attack and get an evasio proc.
Finally...now I know how to dodge it now
I always used to dodge the body slam instead of the lava pool

What do you think about using the upgraded Tarroth Sleep Hammer and the Safi set with NEB? Also do you think it's faster to fight MR Kulve and meld for Kjarr weapons for the Kjarr Crusher or go back and do the old Siege?

Hey Amadeus, as i see you've commented on someone's comment that the weapon that you need to get from this Kulve Taroth weapon are: Taroth (Water), Taroth (Sleep), and Kjarr (Crusher); how do you define that those weapons are worth it with its own stats? (Especially the Tarots one)

Did you try the Kjarr water HH fully upgraded on elemental with the full Safi'jiiva set? It seems that it does even more damage than the Safi horn
For solo play Kjaar thunder, water and Taroth Pipe Water are all better than Safi yes. I haven't tested Dragon yet so I cannot speak on it.
The reason I mention solo play is because they lack AuxL which is a better boost to provide in general multi hunts.

What would you reccomend doing in a master rank kulve taroth fight with 4 other people? She always runs away, even when we think we're meeting the dps check.
Maybe one person should play as a HH support and heal + buff the mates. The other 3 should do more damage 😅 Maybe LBG (Sticky ammo) or HBG with Pierce 3 ammo. Or you could try to run with Switch Axe (Thunder and Ice) and give him some massive damage through the ZSD move.
Or 2 people Sticky and 2 people Charge Blade

I have two questions:
1) is her chest one hit box with two "health bars" (like safi's head) or do I need to hit both parts separately?
2) is the kjaar pipe crusher better than the shatter horn for general play or is the difference negligible?

I think her chest has two hit boxes but aren't that hard to break
Difference is negligible for general play. But for monsters will three star blast weakness = Kjarr Crusher!

here´s a tip: if you tenderize the chest, then slinger kulve to a wall, the chest will instantly break

Does elemental HH without AuXL even work? It got higher elemental value + crit element and element song

KT element HH has advantage and disadvantage
+ higher element value, Crit element in default
- elemental song which not really useful for multiplayer play

Yes and it's called a flourish cancel. Very useful when you aren't sure about what the monster is about to do. HH has a couple of good move cancelling options.

I'm curious, since this is a non-TA run, and you ended up doing both things anyway: why not soften her chest before the first or second wall bash for an insta-break?
Because I didn't know that, unfortunately. I can revisit this fight with this knowledge in mind.
Have you seen elementless KT horn sleep? It’s got some crazy raw it’s not kijar.
I thought that you were going to use teostra y in order to fit peak performance 3 and some comfy skills in exchange of evade extender

Yeah, youd have to que that song too and keep it active. Besides, most damage he takes in this run is fire damage so regular defense wont do shit.
My set does not change if I go with kaiser gamma. With this I keep more defense. I still value evade extender a lot for the mobility it has. I dislike peak performance heavily because of how inconsistent it is. Coalescence sounds more interesting to me. As you can see in this run, my coalescence uptime is pretty good.

I don't have the kulve HH, should i hard farm her till i get it or can i just stick with the Safi HH?
Safi is good for the most part, but you should get Kjaar Pipe Crusher (blast) from Kulve, at the very least !

Why no critical eye in the build?
the build reaches 90% affinity without it, and 2 crit eye decos in the rocksteady mantle brings it to 100%.
Sure is glad that HH is capable of soloing MR KT. I'm sick of people saying it is one of the lowest DPS weapon and often ask me to play as support. Support HH sounds counter intuitive because of the slow sheath time. Sns should be better at support.
I would have expected an ice Hunting Horn to outdamage blast, given Kulve's incredibly high elemental hitzones, but I haven't run the math. Is that really not the case?
This Kulve's elemental weaknesses have been reduced. Raw is better than elemental now, which is why you see me using a raw blast Hunting Horn !
Aah, that would explain it. I just had a look at her hitzones and I had no idea they were reduced by that much. Thank you.
