    Fascinating. I've been watching the various videos of the Duke family and the endowment (legacy). I visited Duke University medical school and hospital years ago (long story) but never knew the reason for the name, until today. He wasn't just a poor man who made it rich on tobacco, textiles, and electricity. Impressive what he envisioned and what the endowment does now. JA, Canada.

      the foundation did a great job, the duke have black in there family but you dont hear about them. just thought i pass it on, and they didnt share in there wealth you know how it goes in america during that time period.. but none were from buck era they were way before his birth.. from what i heard they were in louisiana, the dukes didnt start with buck there history before his time ..

      @@tonytec59vmix Tony I'm not surprised to hear that at all because one of my first thoughts looking at this gentleman is that he has black ancestry ... I can see it , can you ?

    This is the history they do not teach in schools. Even without the progressive achievements, this is a very engaging story!
