Hey, I may have Figured out your mana problem. Synchronized Strike - Dark allies Is there a reason to have 2 additional shadows?? I mean I took it off and still get 3 umbral blades and isn't that the whole point of it? Now I can pop - Synchronized Strike and shift more often without worry about Mana. Please let me know if I am missing something.
check this out I learn this Synchronized Strike Shadows can be released with Umbral blades. But here the trick If you always have Synchronized Strike on the Ground waiting. When you hit your Umbral blades - Synchronized Strike Shadows. go were ever you aim Releasing 3 Umbral blades. Not in the spot where you put the shadows with Synchronized Strike. It makes it so much easier to pull the mobs around the map lol
I really appreciate you breaking this down I just started I'm around level 40 and I have been struggling trying to figure out this class. This definitely helped I am trying to learn but it hasn't been easy for me.
Correct me if im wrong but mobs have 75 resist pen at lvl 75+ This pen brings you down to 0 resist even if youre overcapped. However there is resistance shredding, which overcapping protects your from. So overcapping is worth it so youre only ever at zero and not negative.
Probably one of the better videos I've seen so far explaining the mechanics in depth, appreciate it! Been playing a very similar build but in softcore and I don't really mind the tanky approach to it, since it's not fun having to redo a dungeon or something in the first place by accidentally looking away on the other screen. Only wish you linked the calculator of the build as well so I don't need to replay a bunch of small segments in the video back and fourth, but algorithm is gonna algorithm and I understand that part. I tried testing myself if "shadow damage" is increasing the damage of shadow daggers spawned and applied by shadows, but that seems to be a bust, it only seem increases the shadow cascade damage.
150+ hours into the game trying out diffrent things, wieard mechanics etc... yesterday i made this bladedancer from this guide! really havin a blast with this setup/build. - And yes, falconry with shadowdagger is sick as well, but found this almost more fun Cheers man for guide" pls link your loot-filter O:)
This helped me tremendously!! TY so Much for the amazing detailed video! Once I've applied all the points here, where do you suggest to put the rest? I noticed you added in falconeer, any reason?
follow this build but swap around with gear sometimes, atm i ues the ring Peumbra, the wing chest, 2 smoke weaver and li*raka's claw, very fast runs :D
they are in the same damage category so use the one with higher percentage, try and get flat damage if u can since u already get lots of increased damage from passives and dexterity
bro i dont understand the reasoning behing switching umbral blades to cold damage while we benefit from physical damage already.Any insight thought behind it?
From what I can tell from other videos is that umbral dagger is not where the damage comes from, it has a decently low base damage, so what people tend to do is take the chance to chill and freeze instead to provide a bit of defense towards the late game instead. Shadow daggers is still going to do the majority of the damage and you get a bonus slow to your spinning daggers so they stay in them longer and each hit from the blade storm also applies shadow daggers (only from one spinning dagger at a time though as the tooltip mentions).
Umbral itself does negligible damage in comparison to shadow daggers, while it would do more damage the cold allows freeze which isn't massive but it provides a good benefit. As a whole it doesnt really matter because we aren't using umbral for damage
Why not going Doom Star instead of Katana? Melee Crit Multi should work on Shadow Dagger and has way higher Crit Multi & Melee Damage on Implicits than Katana, please explain.
@@vyos1226 MB ur right on that, guess it's cause I tried to equip it to offhand. From what I can tell, people consider faster weapons superior defensively since you get frame locked more with slower weapons, but Doom Star is strongest in raw damage.
because allmost all builds use the passive skill "critical precision" to increase the critical strike chance per equipped dagger/sword/bow. So probably better lost some crit multiplier to got perma crit chance
stupid question i have watched the guide but theres alot of information jammed into the video maybe i need just a more direct answer. Whats the main sources of producing shadows
Hi! I'm also making a bladestorm build.. but correct me if im wrong but you said we need melee damage and i dont see that shadowdaggers/bladestorm scales with melee but only phys/throw?
The shadow dagger ailment scales off of melee, throwing, physical, dex and does not apply on hit effects. Blade storm scales off of physical, throwing, area and can apply oh hit effects. They are 2 sepereate instances of damage due the diffrenet applications. One is a continuation of a skill (B-storm) and the other is a status effect called ailment (S-dagger). Both are from the umbral blade skill and the damage from these effect do not dirrectly scale with Umbrals damage (in theory, I havnt done all of the testing due to them sharing scaling properties). Info was confirmed on last epoch tool
You really don’t understand how much stronger falconer is. The fact they nerfed this build but put op ass dive bomb in the game is pretty disappointing. I don’t care about builds being op but I don’t like one good build gets fucked with when you put in a whole new subclass that wildly more op.
really dumb question when I cast these spinning blades, on your video they come where your mouse courser is but for me they always go max range, how do I fix that?
man whole point of build non stop moving and using those dodge damage passive :D why are you stop moving and cast umbral blade yourself :D just sync strike > shift for map , smoke bomb sync strike shit in out for boss i can do 360 corruption without dying it they can even hit because of shift inv and moving passives
23:33 Hello, im new to the game. Can someone explain to me the logic behind that crit ratio? 7:350? dont you want the crit strike chance to be a lot higher than that for the crit dmg multiplier to not be a wasted stat? is there a specific skill in the game that lets you hit crit pretty often even with that low of crit strike chance? an enlightment would be much appreciated, Thanks!
@@matteoperelli6991ohhh yea, thanks for the explanation man. I tried to find the part where he explains about shadow daggers always score a crit hit after seeing your reply and found out he actually explained it pretty early into the vid 😅. again, you talking half of video about surviving and get dmg base weapon without dodge rolls... I just can't get your logic. Get sword with dodge roll or better dagger with dodge implicit. 100% dodge from weapons is insane. Max dodge is 85%, you realy want that number always, non only inside cloud after shift

I don't get it, just watched your intro where you tell us about how important Decoy is, in the actual build a couple minutes later you aren't using it at all but use Shadow Cascade. I just pressed Respec on Cascade because you said it would be super important to use decoy. bruh wtf
Elusive is a TERRIBLE node... Not only do you get all that useful dodge rating for only 1 second but the amount of times per mono/boss when you actually get to benefit from that dodge rating, even for that 1 second, is maybe 1-2 times at most, ESPECIALLY if you're running any kind of explosive trap build, then the Elusive node is quite literally useless.

Your main dps skill is shadow dagger. Umbral blades is just one of the skills that applies shadow dagger, it doesn't do dmg by itself.

for documentation purposes can you clearly label what patch / build this is based on?
