Ive been flying flysky for almost 2 years now ( fsi6x ) and to be honest they are brilliant for a budget radio.

ELRS 2.4GHz has been flown out 35km on only 100mW at 250Hz, ELRS 900MHz has been flown out 40km on only 10mw it both cases there was no failsafe.
Once it comes back im getting one. I have the x9d plus and the X-lite. Might get rid of the X-lite and replace it with this Zorro one. You think its worth it?

Is the CRSF MOD for the tx 16 an Qx7 etc also necessary for running ELRS?
I still fly 2 of my old quads with the Evolution, it's such a comfortable radio in the hands. A big led screen and an easy gimbal cover. Way ahead of its time and still works great!

Since we're talking about these radios, I use a Fs-i6s radio for my planes. I use the jumper t lite pro for quads. I have this lone micro zone mc6re Rx that would be cool to put in a plane and bind to the t-lite but I've heard trying to set up planes and drones on the same transmitter sometimes won't work bc we set switches in beta flight but we program them in the transmitter for planes. Have you tried this? Does the Zoro play nice running drones and planes?
Nice, I like the format of the Zorro. Got a new R9 which came with my Qx7 gathering dust, Im going to do the ELRS conversion I reckon, running a 4in1 JR mod currently D8/D16. Be great to have a much better link! Would you have Any Idea on the possible power output I might get from the R9? And if its worth doing. Cheers man!😎 keep up the good shiz
I have flysky i6x with opentx and betafpv 500 mW.micro elrs module. So I can fly elrs and old flysky protocol.

I’ve bought the really basic Zorro, as I have a few frsky quads, even though I have a few spektrum planes and quads plus crossfire planes and quads, which I fly with my tx16s, but I’ll just buy a module with the 4 in 1 chipset, plus also a crossfire module and then I’ve got almost the best of both worlds. I haven’t really looked at express LRS as yet, but maybe later I’ll purchase that module as well.

I’m a little confused, is there a model of the radio master Zorro that comes elrs ready or do you have to install a module ?
I get the Zorro is a great radio. It's why I ordered the CC2500 version. I love the switches and extra momentary buttons that my T-Lite doesn't have.
My problem with this radio is the battery choice and the cap on the power. I get WHY they do max 250w of power on the ELRS. With that shit battery selection 250w will burn though the batteries in like an hour or two.
Yes, they offer a connection for another battery. They did that because they knew it was a problem. A problem they could have solved by fitting two 18650s in like the Jumper Pro. The fact they chose to not do that really irrates me. They were THIS close to the perfect gamepad style radio.
And while 250w is enough for most people, that gets pretty dicey here in suburbia where I have lots of trees, buildings, and Wi-Fi from the sheer number of houses. I want to be assured that if I dip my quad below the tree/building line that it still has connection to come back.
All that said I had to buy a bunch of stuff to fix their mistakes. The cc2500 is cheap enough, but I'll need those small shit batteries and the Happymodel pro slim ELRS module so if I need more than 250w I can go there. Additionally I bought two more 18650s in anticipation that someone creates something that connects to the bottom of the radio that fixes their idiotic decision to power it with 18350s.
Honestly Radiomaster. You were THIS freaking close.

I hate when I have a plane that's flying good and I change something and then go throw it into the ground 5 times.. I've started coating my planes in flex seal. Sounds weird but it's massively increased the durability. They still break but they don't blow foam chunks everywhere now.

ok so my radio master zorro just bricked during a firmare update and no i get no power and at all not even if i hold the trim switch in and hit the button. the button does night light uo anymore. it acts like it still plug in sometype of safty feature except i am not plugged into anything and i get no power
If I could go 5 miles and still have video I would totally do it but only go as far as I'm willing to sprint to recover my craft! I've never had my control link fail safe, maybe I'm just being shy ;-}>
Hi Justin, is there a way to know/set the transmitter power of this radio? I couldn't seem to find it in the radio nor in google
I've got the one with the internal ELRS and I can change TX power between 10/25/50/100/250mW. The greatest thing is: You can choose to use "Dynamic Power" which will use always the lowest possible but as high as needed (up to the configured max) power level.
Thats nice 250mW is inaf... But if it is i could set it in menu even on 1000mW radio... Thats why i am littlebit dissapointed about 250mW... Also 18350 batteries are ridiculous... Anyway my Zorro is on my way :D I like rest of it too much...

Yeah but the tx16s is a freaking tank... the thing reminds me of some outdated computer that is 100x bigger than it needs to be.
