I’ve gotta say, watching Tristyn over the years, he’s ridiculously strong but even more than that, his technique is always amazing and has no BS reps. Respect as always. Great to see him on RP!
I love the way he performed those dips, as dr Mike said he was putting the most amount of tension on his triceps and getting the most of this, gonna definitely be trying those in my next workout
It’s actually insane how the new curls you were describing in this video is actually exactly how I normally do my curls because they’ve always gotten me the greatest pump and feels most comfortable. Nice to see I’ve been doing something very well on my own (:
I’ve been working out for over 10 years incorporating different techniques, making moderate gains. I’ve tried your methods and techniques for my most recent leg day, chest and back day, and shoulder/arm day. Best workouts I’ve ever had with the craziest pumps! So excited for all the gains to come 🤩🤩🤩 Thank you Dr. Mike!!!!!
So much of free info being given here. No bs just straight diving into the workout. Absolutely love these kinda videos and so glad i discovered Dr.Mike.
I love all the cues, I've been using Dr. Mike's cues for a while now and I now am able to target all muscle groups with intensity. I really appreciate it when they do this in public gyms, you can see all the people that don't use these cues while lifting.

As someone who's recently started lighting at home this was a enjoyment to watch whilst also being extremely educational I'll definitely be trying that last bicep set it looks brutal and I'm all for it
I lost 70 lbs last year through getting sober and fasting and got back down to my weight in my early 20's when I did a ton of weight training. Unfortunately I'm skinnyfat now, but your content is inspiring me to continue towards my fitness goals and giving me gems, man. Thanks!
Love the discipline and attentiveness of Mr Lee. Great technique and he pushed himself real good there! Well deserved praise from Mike there at the end.
Really goes to show how much Tristan edits his instagram pics + uses specific camera lenses and zoom to make himself look 10x bigger than he actually is
Very interesting discussion about muscle fibers and rep fall-off! Is there something you would change in the training to adapt it to a muscle that recovers really fast?
I've been doing the cable curls for about a month now and always come back to listen to this while I'm doing them. It's like Dr Mike is cheering me on 😂😂
no joke, this kid has amazing focus and dedication to getting every rep correct right up to point of failure. @@tomsnowden6201 was gonna say, Ive known about him for a long time now and I dont follow him religiously but I swear hes never bulked which isnt gonna take you anywhere if youre natural
One question I have on these one-off demo sessions is how they fit into an RIR schedule. Should we consider this an example of a 0 RIR end-of-meso session?
He killed this workout. I watched you train Cragg? I think his name was on a similar workout and Tristin ate and left no crumbs and then ate Craggs portion as well. What a workhorse.
3:45 > I was wondering this myself. My 1 rep max is always extremely high compared to my 10 rep max. On bench press i can do 300 lbs for 1 rep, but for 10 reps i can only do 135 lbs. On deadlift i can do 525+, but my 10 rep max is 275 - 300. How should someone train if they are like this? make every set lighter by pyramiding down rather than pyramiding up? I am more fatigued and my muscles take more than twice as long to recover when i do 3 x 10 compared to if i do 4 x 6 i do 4 x 6, i train upper body/chest/tri/shoulders Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays. Then train legs/lower body/back Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. When i train this way, my legs from Monday squats are recovered by Wednesday, same for chest on tuesday for Thursday. When i switched to 3 x 10 and did squats on Monday, my legs were so sore and hurt so much i was unable to train legs for 9 days. Would i be better off training with 4 x 6 rather than 3 x 10?
The best part is, it's not the physical movement that produces the growth. Growth is produced through mind's ability to create more space (muscle) by focusing attention on the desired area over prolonged period of time ("feeling the space"). More time spent in a different space (muscle pump) by using our attention means that we are creating our new physical body by first feeling the energetic body through the pump. Pain is what bridges the mind and emotions ("space" and "time"), because it takes us out from the comfortable physical body and allows us to experience the bigger depth of the new "space" (muscle/body) we are trying to create. Dr. Mike is the real deal. You can see how passionate he is about exercising. Even tho he is passionate about it, when he exercises, you can see on his face that it feels heavy as fuck each workout, but he understand that this is the barrier that breaks our own limitations, so he keeps pushing and getting all the juicy benefits! Tristyn is also the real deal. Going for it like a beast. From now on, every rep I do, I will repeat "as if another" as a reminder that it's one juicy rep at the time and that each one has to be identical to the previous one, if not better! It's really beautiful to see exercising being seen as an art created with the mind's ability to move into a specific space over time in order to create a very specific effect. True mastery!
Cool to hear about muscles that recover slow being usually gifted, both my arms, but even more my calves take several minutes between sets to be ready again, which I guess is a good thing. Also my biceps get really sore pretty easy, even more than my hamstrings
@@sunttu333 to be fair, it used to be like that too till I really got the technique down how it works for me, ever since... Even though I lift bitch weight most of the time it doesn't take much to get the job done

Man see, even before seeing mikes explanation of the first tricep exercise i do these all the time on push day, i only use the 40lb ez curl bar and get a real nice stretch slow eccentric and go deep asfk, keeping my elbows tucked in and my arms have blown tf up. Then always finish it off with a drop set till failure. I however recommend warming up your joints first with some cable push downs.
Tristyn always focused so much on form while guys he was lifting with were throwing weights around. That paid dividends when it came to following Mike’s instructions.
I notice your forearm got thicker and bigger as I know your forearm used to be tiny now improve a lot better I admire your perseverance now I am going to lift some weight to thicken my skinny forearm thank you
Compared to the first exercise I prefer skull crushers also with an Eze bar where I stretch out behind my head at the bottom cuz my back is supported so don't have to worry about balance and can go heavier. But the standing version with the Eze bar involves some more core activation which can be useful if you want to emphasize that. Dips always a killer deep and slow. Hell yeah 👍👊💪
