Fun video. Macro looks like a good way to get out of a slump. I also originally shot Canon & then switched to Olympus. For fum I did try the Canon full frame later but the Olympus size & capability definitely drew me back. If you travel there is no comparison!
Great job, Chris! I recently acquired that exact camera and I love it even more than my previous EM-10. In many ways better than my Z50. That 60mm macro is definitely on my list. I usually use my D610 / Tamron 90, but I’m digging the downsize vibes. Congrats on the images.
Thanks for watching. The lens is absolutely spot on and one I would definitely recommend. I enjoyed using the camera over the EM1Mkii and it made a refreshing change to do something away for the coast.
The EM1 Mark I was used to film this and it’s a fantastic package if you want something that can do a lot, and do it well. The EM5 series are a lot smaller and a lot lighter but they also pack in terms of what they can do. Hence why I want to actually use mine for photos for a month to just see what it can do.
You got me inspired now to pickup my lens (same model) again. It's been sitting on the shelf for many months now, mostly due my limited schedule and therefore oftentimes lacking the time to go out when the light is right. But with artificial light this is a different story and I am looking forward to some new experiments. 🙂
I've just bought a 6D and a 40mm pancake. Not sure whether to get a 20/24mm for landscape but also extension tube for the limited amount of macro that I may do. Should I go tubes or macro lens?
If it’s something you do a limited amount of I’d just grab the tubes. You can get an autofocus set for about £30 which is a tenth of the price of a decent second hand macro lens.
I was really enjoying this and your peaceful zen until my government just lit up all my devices with a national emergency alert test tone. Lemme see if I still have any of those special cookies I got on my last trip to Colorado and try to get my mellow back. 😌

My mind was made up when I climbed Skafell Pike and left 2 full frame cameras in the car and took the EM5 up with me. Didn’t even know it was there!
Thanks as always Chris for another great little video, keep them coming.
I can sense a canon 5D shootout between you and David coming sometime!
I think that would be a good idea! We’ve done things like that in the past. I need to work out if it’s something I’d use first. Waiting on his video…
Love your work Chris. If you have the RGB option on your LED, try combining it with the light from a head torch from the opposite side.
Yeah the light does RGB. I might have a try with that and see what happens. I’m guessing the police car setting wouldn’t work 😂
I found your channel around this time last year when I got a 5d3, and since then Ive also got the classic so I would love to see more videos with 5dc

Yeah, love some vintage lens photography on a full frame where it was designed to be.
Thanks Andrew!

I too added a grip thingy to my EM5 MkII. It makes a better hand full. The EM5 MKII is kinda small for an adult hand. Good job, lad.
Thanks man. It’s a nice camera and I love the styling it’s just a shame it has no…. Grip.
Nice idea with the LED light. It's really about the light, right? No matter where it comes from.
That’s it! All about the light
Chris another informative video what led light are you using
It’s a Ulanzi RGB light, I think there is a link in the video description somewhere.
@@ChrisBaitsonPhoto thanks I didn't see link

How dare you!?😂
I’m sorry. It just happened. It didn’t mean anything.
@@ChrisBaitsonPhoto I’m not saying “peace and goodbye” at the end, you can keep that😂
hey Chris, pretty sure we bumped into each other last year in those woods.
It’s possible Phil. I’ve met a few people around there and said hello to them!
Adapt your vintage lenses to your MFT; it works brilliantly.
The autofocus on your recording cam is a bit iffy. Some great shots using the Olympus tho
Yeah it did hint on occasions it bugged me too.

Haha ours tried that earlier on in the year, fortunately I found the turn it off setting in my phone. Thanks for watching and enjoy the…. Cookie 🍪
@@ChrisBaitsonPhoto cookies found, finished the vid and got my 60 macro out. I don’t remember much past that.

Thank you.
I don't know how much your camera and lens cost but I get as good an image with a cheap Fuji Finepixs s5100.
I’m sure you can do. It’s not all about the gear!
Canon 5D classic , a great idea. I've just bought on to use with some vintage M42 Pentax lenses.
Yeah it’ll be for the montage stuff only I think as they’re designed for a frame that size. One to think about.
