    I liked the use of foil bits in the background for distant highlights. I'm going to copy that idea😎

    The flower like mushrooms in the end of the video are actually flowers. They are parasites and therefore lack green chlorofyll. We have a similar species in Scandinavia, Monotropa hypopitys, parasite on pines via mykorrhiza mushrooms.

    6:50 i remember once i thought that some weirdo could be sneaking up on me. Then i realised, if you cannot see it you are it. So yeah, i am the weirdo out in the woods. At least that is what i tell myself when i am lying on the ground in compromising positions.

    Quelle intéressante vidéo, merci - trés pédagogique-, et quelles supers idées pour photographier les champignons. Le premier est probablement un bolet bai, courant sous les conifères. C'est de toute façon un bolet au vu de sa mousse et de son aspect général.

    Very cool and creative! Do you normally just pick focus points yourself for a focus stack? Or do you focus bracket? I'm having trouble with focus bracketing settings but taking just a few selective focus points seems very doable!

Just subscribed.👍 Not satisfied with volunteer fly, Daniel “kidnaps” slug to model for him - nice😊. (Kidding.) At least our host was honest about posing the creature. Red frame glasses could be a channel “thing”.

    • @DanielAucoinFineArt
      @DanielAucoinFineArt  Год назад +1

      Great question Joel,
      To achieve a less compressed shot, I decided to experiment with my 28-70mm lens and ultimately settled on using it at 70mm for the last two shots. Given the circumstances, I didn't feel the need to switch to my macro lens as I was able to maintain focus effortlessly at this distance. I hope that clarifies things!👍🙂

    For me, nature photography is what I see. I don't remove bits of twigs from a macro and disrespectfully capture animals to enhance photos. There is A.I. and painters, artists who can do that in their studios. I also don't trek through deep moss immortalizing my boot prints. With no disrespect but that's what I remember from your video.

    So you go take pictures and you disturb the area around your subject, not to mention putting a slug on your subject...
    If everyone that takes pictures places things to their liking and disrupts nature we would have no nature.
    Take your pictures with your hands OFF!
