    Thank you for the review!! I own this great fragrance since 2013 and I'm really amazed that there is almost no review about this beauty on youtube. Really underrated scent.

    I had no idea that you’d reviewed this Pep- love this and 1740 from the brand. Agree on how nice it develops with the cardamom. I bought a newer bottle and thought I didn’t get as much of the citrus in the top but hopefully it just needs time to sit. Anyway regardless I love this one- great review as always Pep. Love how under the radar this brand is

    Thanks for the review Pep, I will have to get a sample set of this house. I like the sound of tnis one and I am partial to varying takes on rose in a perfume, plus if memory serves me, it got the thumbs up from your daughter, whose opinion I will value💜

    This scent was my introduction to this house via a subscription service that shall not be named at the moment. It's certainly a unique scent that I've learned to appreciate the more I wear it, but I tend to enjoy it a bit more when the top notes wear off. To my nose it's a nice mix of cardamom, clove, and chocolate that gives my nose a little bit of a tickle.
    I'm wondering if you'll be doing more reviews on this house, as I've yet to find any reviews on 1804 and 1889.
    Many thanks :)

      @@TheScentinel I just got it and oh wow I love it . Do I love it more than Amber 118? No I think Amber 118 is a masterpiece, I have two bottles . I never want to be without it. But this 1969 is also beautiful. I have the entire discovery set of 24. And I have to say I love or like ALL of them. What a great house this is. I wish i could afford to buy them all but I would never be able to wear so many. I also own many other Niche perfumes, about 175 bottles . I collect perfumes, mostly Niche but I do like some designers too, like Tom Ford, Guerlain, Chanel, Mugler, Dior, Calvin Klein , YSL....

    I get black pepper and woods from patchouli sometimes...that could be where you’re getting the pepper from. I’ve been curious about this one, but have worried about how peach would combine with the other notes...it just doesn’t seem like it would fit in the composition.

    • @TheScentinel
      @TheScentinel  5 лет назад +2

      The peach is the star of the show

  • @signorinabohemia3140

    😉 Yeah.........I’m not sure about this one either. I don’t hate it but on my skin it leans a bit more masculine. I have no words can’t say much about it, I like it but not enough to wear it, but maybe I need to wear it more often to develop a liking for it too like you did Mr. Pep. I’ve had it for a couple of months now..........I’ve been sad 😞. A teeny tiny reason I purchased this sample was because it’s my birth year.

    I have the discovery kit from them and there isn’t one that I dislike. The stand outs to me are 1969, this is not a blue bottle 1.1, noir patchouli, ambre 114 and 1740. I wish I could own them all.

    • @ChildofGodforevr
      @ChildofGodforevr 3 года назад

      I too have the discovery kit and all of the ones u mentioned are also my favorite. I own Ambre 114 and 1969 but I’ll be ordering many more. Wow what a great house. I HIGHLY suggest ppl stock up on all of their favorites coz once Estée Lauder gets their greedy hands on this house and buys it, they will reformulate every scent using cheaper ingredients. That’s their thing, they buy a popular Niche house and reformulate everything, using cheaper notes, make every scent weaker and just not the same . They will RUIN Ambre118. I need to buy large bottle back ups of all my faves from this house coz it’s coming . They will buy HDP any day now. I was so pissed of when I found out too late that Tom Ford had been bought out by EL.
      I have only 30mls left of the original Tom Ford Amber absolute, I’m treasuring the last 30mls coz there is no more. And tons of fakes around . TONS. Estée Lauder bought Tom Ford too and weakened all the frags. If ppl can only smell Black Orchid from 2008, it’s a whole different BO from today’s version. I still have my bottle of Black Orchid bought in 2009. I really despise Estée Lauder but these Niche Houses dont have to sell out either. It’s greed. Tom Ford was doing amazingly great before Estée Lauder bought him out. He really didn’t need the money. But granted with Estée Lauder in charge he is making double what he made. Estée Lauder’s marketing is HUGE. Still, I wish these awesome Niche houses would stay small. I love Kerosene because they haven’t sold out but mostly because they always put out incredible beautiful and unique scents , and they’re all beast mode. Same with a few other Niche houses that have not yet sold out.
