That would be fun! Hope I can run I to him at some events/meets if he joins those. Heard he's been low key recently but hey, never know! If you decide to visit, let me know!
You should do some content on custom arcade pads: Korea is the home land for creating them as well as the artisan keycap scene ... Most of the modern ones actually use MX switches in hot swap sockets for the buttons.
I have never known korea is quite far convinient than other countries cuz I am korean. it's just normal life for me. but I finally realized kr is extremely convinient when I had lived US for serveral months. small territory sometimes comes as advantages😂. I hope see you on Jan.
Great to see you back. Two things I would be interested in. Learning more about how you got the job/got a work permit and residency. Learning about the starcraft scene and how it intersects with the keyboard scene.
Thanks Matthew! It's been a big culture shock initially but getting used to it now! I hope it'll be a great experience and open up new perspectives for me :) hey if you ever decide to visit, let me know!
Thank you for updating us, Scott! I also recently moved to Pangyo and noticed many of the same things. Leaving the phones to reserve tables, leaving bikes unlocked all day at train stations, etc. Would love to hear more updates on your life there, and on the K-Keyboard scene.
Aside from being a keyboard content creator, I think your style of videos and the way you present would be great for talking about the shift from the states to korea! Definitely interested in hearing about it from time to time! Also I think it'd be pretty cool if you could get in touch with geon and do something with him like an interview on how he designs his boards and even how he prices them since he apparently doesn't make anything off them. Or just a review on his boards in general would be cool
Wow. Came for keyboard updates and was schooled on Korea. I was really enjoying the glimpse of Korea you experienced. Was blown away when spoke of the crime or very minimal amount of it there. Where in at you can get stuff stolen by simply stopping at a red light. Very much enjoyed your detailed experiences of your new home.
As a 2nd generation Korean American that hasn't been back to South Korea in about a decade now, some short bloggos about your stay in Korea would be something I'd be interested in! Of course, keyboard content is great too. Good luck on everything!
Awesome update! Coincidentally I'll be going to korea next month for vacation. Maybe I'll bump into you by chance haha. Looking forward to your uploads from here on out!
This move sounds like a really good choice for you, and the culture change also seems really appealing me (also a US citizen). Although, I don't think I could learn a new language to go through with something like this. Props and good luck!
2 day prime? Ok .. looks like the US is even behind Germany in this topic. Which is really hard, because Germany tries its best to be the no 1 of being WORST in just about any category (eg. inclusion rights, gender politics, LGBTIA+ rights, energy saving, ecology, internet, mobile telecommunication, etc. pp.).
I've been missing your videos and especially your humor! Yours was one of the first channels I found when I got addicted to this "hobby." I think SK would be a pretty great place to live for a while but definitely different. Glad the move went well and looking forward to more videos!
Welcome back! I am in IT and always wondered what you do for a living. Not going to lie, I am jealous. I love culcure! S Korea, Japan, Hong Kong...I would love to visit.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Maybe a stupid question, maybe already asked: do you speak and read Korean? The cultural context reminds me of Japan, where I’ve spent 3 months in 2008. I had a hard time coming back to France
Absolutely fascinated of the polar opposites. Although I could never live in a city where everything is crammed with camera surveilance and AI screening and protocoling everything. Madness.
Congrats on the move! It's fun to hear your updates and changes in your life. Thanks for sharing :D 5:19 whoever's room this is, shout out to the Touken Ranbu merch \o/
As a fellow asian living in America, always wanted to visit some place like south korea or Japan, plus I just love your style of videoes, so I very much would enjoy more South Korean vlogs! Thanks for the update and welcome back!
Vlog is a nice idea. Would love to get your perspective for your experience in Korea as a Korean American. I followed another RUclipsr that went through similar transition (Ben Deen) so very curious about your experience.
Yay exciting stuff, really happy that ur in Korea. Would love to see some fun cultural stuff once in a while! Can’t wait to see what collabs u have over there!
Had no idea you are Korean. Yeah, adapting to life in Korea can be tough even if you speak the language. I definitely wouldn't fit in at work but am planning to retire there (soon now), mostly for the food. Good luck!
Welcome to the world outside of North America. So many countries work exactly like this. And although it's always a headache a the beginning, once you're setup through the visa or residency process, the life in these countries turns out to be much more efficient than anything in North America.
Going to be visiting Korea for G-Star in Busan, and LoL tournament final day in Seoul! Looking forward to it! As for surrounding asian countries come to Tokyo!
Definitely interested in videos exploring more about the Korean side of the hobby. I've spent a lot of time in Japan, which is similar to Korea in many ways, but they don't really have much of a mechanical keyboard scene there (at least compared to Korea). Why do you think mechanical keyboards have taken off so much in Korea?
Korean here; Japan has a pretty big emphasis on split keyboards rather than regular keebs. As for the Korean keyboard scene, we are very close to China which makes it easier to work with chinese sellers and get chinese-made products like monsgeek for lower price, which makes it easier for beginners to get into affordable boards
@@Rr_9991 I’m not sure if I would agree they have an emphasis on split keyboards. I’ve literally never seen a split keyboard in a store in Japan, or ever seen anyone use one for that matter.
Welcome back! I'll be very excited to learn more about Korea from you since I'll be there for an overseas exchange, love to come hang at the meetup too!
Feels like a lot of the magic of the country is barred off to it's residents, which I guess makes sense at the end of the day. I miss being able to go to the convenience store and nabbing a light meal for like $5 lmao. Hope you enjoy your time in KR. You got Swagkeys right there (ngl their service for overseas customers is still nuts too.)
Scott, you're not just a great keyboard creator, you're genuinely interesting and entertaining as well. I would absolutely be interested what your life is like with such a huge change. Even if it's on a separate channel, definitely let us know! I also work in big tech, so I would be super curious to hear about the workings in Korea and how they differ to the US.
I would love to go visit South Korea, Singapore and Japan, and I love the information you gave, in my opinion everyone should know at least a bit about different country and not live under a rock.
A few months back I saw your post that you moved to South Korea. I''ve been living in South Korea for 6+ years and married. Welcome (back) to Korea~. Hope to see you more soon and if I ever see you in person, I'll keep it on the down low. Also, there's a few custom keyboards shops around Seoul! But the prices are inflated.
Wow, super cool! I had no idea just how advanced and surveilled South Korea is. I'm excited for this next chapter in your channel and wish you the best from USA!
Wow that's great. I'm definitely curious as to how your life goes there, so I hope you'll do videos about that, if you can find the time. I'm also curious to know if you talk korean, or if you just went there with your english and it's enough to survive 🤔 Regardless, super glad to see you back!
You gotta do a @3ildcat collab
Hey hipyo!
That would be fun! Hope I can run I to him at some events/meets if he joins those. Heard he's been low key recently but hey, never know! If you decide to visit, let me know!
@@Keybored hey keyboard!
I am so happy for you are here South Korea! Hope you doing well here! Can't wait to see your new contents!

That was a very interesting video. Please more about your life in Korea
Slice of life and cool places to go to in Korea plz! Go to Singapore and link up with the people at the MECHA store!
That's crazy and cool at the same time. So how did you get that "magic card?"
Once you get approved with a visa, you apply!
Everything about this video was unexpected.... but I loved it
omg, welcome to Korea, Scott
Thank you so much DBOKEY! Glad to be here and it's been so far so good! Hope to run into you here :)
Loved this! Please do keep us updated! Thank you for being so open about your life, Scott. Your generosity is incredible and so genuine.
Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate it! Will try to do small glimpses of my Korean life when I get the chance!
YES PLEASE COME TO SINGAPORE
We're so excited to have you back!! hope your moving went well, and you can consistently make videos now 😊😊
Yes! The studio setup is a little janky right now but have to keep tweaking! Setting up audio is a pain!
Great to see you back. Two things I would be interested in.
Learning more about how you got the job/got a work permit and residency.
Learning about the starcraft scene and how it intersects with the keyboard scene.
That's gotta be the longest intro skit yet
Haha I think there was 1 that was slightly longer haha
Welcome back. Wishing you the best in your new endeavors.

Minimal crime, but on the other hand zero freedom. Only being allowed to function in a certain way the system approves of..

You were trolling at first, but now I’m thinking of a normal keyboard sized touchscreen keyboard. It could work, and you just need haptics
Love hearing the thoughts of another American on what life is like in Korea. Keep us posted with more vlog stuff! Happy to see you posting again!

I’ve been traveling in China for a month now and yeah it’s all the same with food to transportation it’s just so much more convenient and safe
This video is fascinating, but I almost didn’t watch it because of the title. Might I suggest retitling the video to maybe get more views.
That's for thr suggestion! Will have to think about how I distinguish these videos from keeb content
Glad you are back Scott. Looking forward to new content. Best of luck in Korea.

Imagine when he finds out that they keyboard on his phone gets bigger when he turns his phone into landscape orientation.
The facts about south Korea are actually very interesting. It's not that everything is new to hear. But I like the way you talk about it. 💪👍
Thanks! Will try talking about it more,
몇 안되는 키보드 채널에서 이렇게 또 한국사람을 보게 될줄이야 ㅎㅎㅎ 항상 잘 챙겨보고 있습니다 :)
You had me there for a moment...phone keyboards, yeah, sure :D Good to have you back.
Good to hear you are doing fine scott! QK75N review soon :D ?
If you need a phone id to function in Korea. How does it work as a tourist? Do they have any good solutions for that
I was thinking about you like 5 minutes ago. Welcome back!
Scott lived in Philly?! That’s wassup 😂
Now that you moved to S korea, try putting kimchi in your keyboards
how about a building a keyboard while doing mukbang? doable right? 😅
It would be cool seeing keybored vlogs the cinematics are so cool
i would LOOOOOVEEEEEEE A VLOG SERIES!
please show us what its like to live out there!
I think a video comparing grilled meat in Korea and US is very intersting .
Life change aside, you look pretty dapper in a business suit!
Vlogs please. I visit Japan alot but I always wanted to go to S. Korea!
Welcome back, hope the move was smooth! Looking forward to fresh new content from you again!
Really interesting, and the food made me hungry for more food info!
Psssst. I'll let everyone in on a secret. This above ^^^ is a video. :)

My dad said the streets are super clean like you don't see litter or graffiti. Is that true?

Definitely a country with cams everywhere lol
Thank you for the update! I would love to see vlogs from Korea as well
Wow didn't know you were Korean was like ??? when you just said "안녕하세요" welcome to Korea!
Haha yup! Thanks!
voice typing is much easier than typing on your phone haha no hands needed XD
come and visit Malaysia!! we have a great keyboard scene as well
Wow that's great. I'm definitely curious as to how your life goes there, so I hope you'll do videos about that, if you can find the time. I'm also curious to know if you talk korean, or if you just went there with your english and it's enough to survive 🤔

Fortunately, I do speak! It Def helped the transition. But writing and grammar is anothet story lol
lol you scared me for a bit there. i admit i was laughing though.
that's the most horrible phone keyboard sound ive ever heard 😂
4:19. You want to prove that Cherry MX Brown can trigger a certain mechanical keyboard RUclipsr? Phone!
Haha beautiful sounds of the phone
