There’s good L119 groups on facebook if you are interested in building a full L119A2 build. The builds can be done fairly cheap still, but obviously you’re sacrificing authenticity etc... Also a lot of us on Instagram that do UKSF L119A2 builds, check out the hashtag.
Did you finish the barrel mods in the end? I’ve just finished fitting the L119 rail to my KWA (had to file down the gas block and rod). I’ve still got to shorten my outer barrel by an inch (I’ll just get a shorter barrel extension) and get the TNT inner barrel and rubber you suggested. 👌🏻
I did mate, I just cut it off and machined a new ccw thread. I’m just waiting for a new SF style flash hider. Don’t forget to use the TNT nub too. I’ve had some amazing results with those tnt parts.
@@BIGBIRDSAIRSOFT good stuff. Wish I still had access to a lathe and milling machine... took bloody ages to file down the gas block. It reminded me how much I hated hand fitting. Luckily I had the old bastard file otherwise I’d probably still be doing it haha. I got the AngryGun Sf216 flash hider and suppressor. Really really nice bits of kit.... the suppressor wobbles and rattles a touch though as the locator pin is a fair bit smaller than the slot on the flash hider. Guessing it’s to make it easier to fit.
@@BIGBIRDSAIRSOFT got it today! It's quite good. Very accurate. It did already take it apart to regrease it and check the sticker on the fire selector. Every time I switched from save to semi it would fire a randon shot... Also the sticker inside the gearbox for the trigger sensor is taped on a a ridge witch I dremeled out. You'll see what I mean. I'll test it tomorrow to see it the random shot is fixed.
Pretty new to Airsoft but seriously considering an l119a2 build. Not sure if you’ve ever experienced either of the following but do you think a G&G SR30 or ELAR MUR Custom SBR would make a good base for one (internals/receiver)?
To be honest I’ve not used either but both should be convertible. It depends on how authentic you want it to be. Mine isn’t 100% as I’ve got a different receiver and my barrel is too long, but otherwise it’s close. I’m not sure what the internals are like on either of them but if your building a custom gun I always start with the gearbox. You then have to match things carefully. With mine, I still haven’t found an outer barrel to work with my setup that doesn’t kill the air seal.

Just want my first decent AEG (I had a pretty poor JG M16a1 years back) to be of decent quality and reliable. I keep hearing mixed opinions on pretty much every AEG I’ve looked into. I’ll try and find some more info on their individual gearboxes. Thanks again!
James Kalas yeah it’s tricky, basically every Airsoft gun is junk and every Airsoft gun is the best lol. I was listening to a guy slate the TM gas MP7 a while back. Needless to say he hadn’t got one. I use mine all the time and it really is epic. He’s really missing out! Lol there are so many options out there for AR based builds. I think the KWA would be a fantastic base for one of these.

Jakub Selecký I don’t know what barrel length is in the SSP1 is as I don’t own one, however if you take your old one out, just measure it and get one the same length. 👍
Interesting to see that even a simple change can end up being more complicated than you think .....hope the Specna is better than that J series AK ...the SSG comparison sounds interesting.....now when are you going to do an EBR project......😇
BIGBIRDSAIRSOFT I don’t have the space really for a proper workshop. Would love one. I Have just got an Ender 3 Pro 3D printer so it’ll be nice to use my CAD skills again.
Ben Tanner it’s really easy, get some self adhesive Velcro, stick about and inch of the fuzzy side to the top of the stock tube near the end, put your stock back on and bingo! It can be a little stiff to start with but as it beds in it’s perfect.

This looks very similar to the Danish M/10, which is a 16" barrel with the shorter C8 IUR handguard.

It may not be an l119a2 but it looks more like a Danish M10 or C8 mld or early civilian IUR variant
