They really need to add an expiration on support independence. AI just get support but never declares and you are sometimes stuck with a disloyal vassal that you can't fix for decades
The strat to make France waste time in England war and get nothing from it and set them back 2 decades is how I got my Holland run to kick ass early on. Getting Calais & Pale during independence war in 1445 is peak gaming
Man that first war against France, i think i would have dropped that save. What a hassle. Also, you should have destroyed Spain from the get go. Like release Vassals or take their lands, you have the same colour already anyway.
