If I ever agreed to one thing and then later decided “nope, not going to do it” I would have to start looking for new members because they’d all quit. As the Commissioner you have to be more trustworthy than anyone else in that league and if you agree to do something you have to do it. Not ten weeks later, but the moment you agree to it. You don’t agree to it and then talk to others to see if you should have. You agreed, you do it. I guarantee that what happened was he agreed to it, then spoke to Eric and Eric pushed back, and THEN he spoke to other people and decided not to do it. Jack has to give Eric the loss otherwise the league loses all integrity.
AND, how hard do you guys laugh when they talk about owners threatening to not pay their league fee...during the season?? No Commissioner should ever allow an owner to draft until they've paid their league fee. Just seems to be common sense and common courtesy. I actually set a deadline a couple weeks before the draft, with late charges per day that goes straight into the prize pool. No fuss, no muss. 😁

Thank you Brian. It's not even remotely close. One you can craft a roster as you wish and you have to be engaged on every player/understand value for every player. The other (snake) is so much more passive.

I have not heard anything on the podcast except for you this qb doesn't matter unless it is a 2qb league ...end of story. The only Superflex/2qb info is typically is Dave's trade chart. The only really 2 qb content is for dynasty leagues which is great but is very different.

While I agree that the nature of the league makes them more valuable because they go so early, it is a much better strategy to only pick one QB in the first two rounds and wait for the second. So many managers go back-to-back QBs and their team is far weaker because of it.
I agree with Adam on this take. Superflex is nothing but a fad, gimmick, and scam - for leagues with 12 or more teams, there's no point in doing SF. They're simply aren't enough QBs to justify it. So it DOES make them less valuable as a group - bc the quality level drops off so significantly, so quickly. The NFL used 60 QBs last season. 60. Maybe 12 were worth anything, overall, consistently. Now, if you're playing in a cheesy & lame 6, or 8 team leagues, sure, go for it - those leagues are all-star team farces anyway. In a 1QB league, the QBs are actually more valuable in reality, bc their scoring affects the outcomes of the matches more dramatically, weekly. I used the word scam earlier bc when you come down to it, every league has different level of managers - some are the sharks - the really serious ones who think winning fantasy football meaning something irl and boosts their self-esteem & testosterone - they are the aggressive ones who want an "edge" to win - and they see an "edge" as being a shark about having 2 QBs - so SF appeals to them. But then you have the larger segment of managers who are into it, but not shark level - they're there to have fun, enjoy the competitiveness and the game. Then you have the casuals - every league has casuals - the ones who aren't really into it, they do it bc they like football & enjoy simply playing. So in SuperFlex, it always is the sharks grabbing up the QBs early & often, leaving an unbalanced league. Eventually what happens (I know this bc I've been playing for 35 years & have played in every format) is that the non-sharks get either frustrated or bored & end up quitting & the league eventually folds. Why? Bc it isn't fun. Superflex ends up being a bore. I've seen many leagues either fold or redo their roster setup & reboot bc they realized the sham & gimmick that is Superflex. Do whatever you want & enjoy, but don't make the claim that Superflex is "better" - it's just simply not.
Make sure to tell this to like every host of Heath's Dynasty podcast. Sounds like they all agree with you hahahahaha. Going on 25 plus years of the same 2qb league. Love it.

I didn't really explain it well. You don't necessarily get the same advantage from having one of the elite QBs like you do in a 1-QB league
Having 2 elite QBs can carry a middling team if they are consistently putting up high 20s to 30s
