Good Video! The Cajun pronunciation lesson is fantastic! The 371xp with the single ring is my number one. I’m a slightly larger single ring dude… I’ll take the little compression loss for the much better oiling and cooler running…less drag topend. It was well worth digging through the trash pile! 😂👍. Funny stuff too! 😂👍🤘🤣

Very nice display of power on the 425. The 415 was also quad port. The 425 is the updated version. Has a better air filtration set up.

I really like those old saws, need to get my 475 out and make a video with it one day. They have an interesting past and are really neat looking.

I saw the video of Dew running, what was that...a 415?

@@novicelumberjack yep, that was my 415. I ported the 475 awhile back and haven't made a video of it yet, runs ok but I think I'm going to go back in it. The quad port saws run soooo much better stock than the duals. Totally different saws.

I’ve been looking at that 415 on eBay. They are a great running and looking saw. A lot of people underestimate the older saws.

I am in 100000% agreement on the OE372 being the best saw ever produced. I have a addiction problem to them and the clones as well
    Dead nuts reliable.
    Parts availability
    Power and torque
Hands down the easiest to work on

The Pioneer version Poulan Pro was the real beast. The 455 and 655 are among the meanest saws ever built. But the 505 is also a monster in its own right.

Will the 372xp x-torq version out perform the older 272xp? Nice rare find, Keep'em coming Big Guy👍s🆙

As I have heard the air injection was from Jonsered and used to be called the turbo. Jonsered 2055 turbo is a nice 50cc example.

it's funny, I was going to ask you how that X-Torq cylinder worked out... This video answered my question 👍 I have yet to open up an X-torq, I was given a small Huqvarna 235 X-torq the other day and I need to open it up to have a peek at it and possibly port it. I have been playing around of the idea to possibly try to bypass the air port on the cylinder with a gasket that has no opening and see how that affects the performance and possibly run a regular carb at some point. It will be fun to second guess the engineers and see what happens good or bad. I kind of think it will suck monkey butts, hard to say LOL

Would be awesome if Husky would remake a legit Poulan Pro based on the 372 since now they have the 572 and put a true pro grade saw back in the Poulan lineup. Would be cool as hell. They’ll never do it though because if they released a saw based on the OE 372 without auto tune it would be too competitive against the 572.

Strato charge came from partner. Electrolux started by putting it in the Walmart poulans. When they got it figured out, they started putting it in they're flagship saws.

Yep. The Husqvarna 575 576 we're remnants partner ideas and was actually part of their K-12 saws.

I did an intake delete on a 2171 Jonsered once, I put a penny in between the carb and thee inlet…. It still to this day does not start.

If your worried about an air leak get a can of brake clean. Put the straw on it and spray it around the clutch and the flywheel. If you have an air leak the saw will fall on its face and die.

For only 65cc those are a beast. Not much if any can catch it in the 65cc class.

Don't forget that Electrolux also bought out mcculloch lol. They are unfortunately one of the brands that got the ax.

Hard to believe…but results speak 🤨
Just imagine if the Jonsered would not have bogged or was to “hungry” to have hung up 🧐
Imagine if BOTH saws were ported to the max by the same person, one of reputable status. Or if the Jonny had non xtork parts on its chassis, and yes it’s easy (but pricey) to do.

    • @novicelumberjack
      @novicelumberjack  2 года назад +1

So...the Johnny had a new out of the box X-cut chain, so did the Poulan. If you look closely at the beginning of the vice grip run, you'll see that with the Jonsered there is a bit of a glitch. This is because it was the best of 3 different vice grip runs. The saw KEPT getting hung up, and I picked the best run. If both saws were ported well by the same person...the Poulan would humiliate the X-torq. This 65cc Poulan will hang right in there with my cutters edge 2171. It's an excellent saw.

Its pronounced poo-lan, well by me anyways.
