He's always been the greatest ambassador for the Monkees. Have seen him twice live: once with Mike and Peter and again for The Mike & Micky show. Excellent concerts. Micky still has the voice. Incredible. Great support band too.
The Monkees brought a lot of enjoyment to people. I remember being 5 years old, going through my parents records on a rainy day and playing just two albums on the turn table. Rubber Soul by The Beatles and The Monkees greatest hits. I watched the reruns on TV and had a huge crush on Mickey. So glad to see Mickey hasn't become jaded and still has that sweet positive energy.
When I was a kid. Born in 53. I couldnt wait for saturday morning to arrive and see Roy Rogers, Looney Toons and The Monkees. I even have a Monkees vinyl picture disc. I had more picture discs but had to sell much of my vinyl in hard times. I still have a few left.
Whatever the Monkees are ( were ) and the definition differs even with the boys themselves...there is NO doubt these were 4 extremely talented people who had a major impact on music of the sixties..and belong in the RRHOF

Saw The Monkees when I was 13, before the show was really a huge hit...1966, maybe? 67? Mickey was my fav, then Peter. Their live concert was crazy, couldnt hear ANYTHING, continual screaming from lunatic teenage girls... Here we are now, 2023 and I'm a fan of Hollywood Vampires of which Mickey was a founding member back in the day! What goes around really does come around!
