I love how reporters and the general public always center on cost when it comes to Apple products and services. As if cost is the primary deciding factor for those who are drawn to Apple to begin with. It’s not. Apple is primarily known for two things: user experience and quality. And you’re going to pay more for that. So, reporters, especially ones from WSJ-which itself isn’t cheap-please move beyond that. Also, Apple created a product that is about an individual’s experience and then the reporter complains that people use it by themselves. Ok, thanks for calling that out, but that’s your own issue. How many times do I put a movie on my 85” screen here at home and hear others talk through it, get up and move around all the time, and/or have the lights on. Just as in a movie theater, there are times when I want to really lean in and have an experience. By myself. I’ll probably buy one of these. Why? Because it’s Apple and they focus on user experience, high quality, interoperability, and innovation. I’m lucky that it doesn’t matter what it costs. I’m not shopping for it at Walmart.
This is actually the best way to have "hands free". This eliminates all those who walk with their phone in their hand and who drives with their phone in their hand.
Wonder who walks on the wrong side of the street. Happens here often people bumping in each other. Always blame person who don't know what side of street to walk
Just as important as the product is to this segment, i think it gives a big preview of how they envision how a self driving car integrates and interacts with occupants.
Other than a little bit steep in price for myself and also no release date for the UK, the Vision Pro seems to lack the ability to make apps for itself, within the headset. If they brought XCode, Reality Kit and got Unity to develop a version of the software for the headset, I would have reason to buy. I need to be able to use the device to work on 3D apps where the headset can really benefit developers. It's got an M2. It could run Unity if they enabled the headset to run mac apps.
I feel the battery pack should be out of the headset for fire reasons .maybe long term make bigger stationary batteries were its wireless for the vision pro thats technology that is for sure possible long term.
Can you imagine a real Pokemon MMO where we can engage with Pokemon IRL and compete against fellow trainers in AR? Spectator users who also have an AR headsets can spectate as an audience while we trainers battle. I'd consider this identical idea found in Sword Art Online Ordinal Scale.
I can see a benefit for say mechanics working on repairs on a new machine or a new model, where you have the real thing and superimpose the digital version. But as is, I don't see mass appeal.
So far, answers to real issues with other headsets have been ignored in this video. Are there any instances of blinking, visible pixels, or blurring? Any instances of UI shaking or misalignment with real objects during head movements in AR mode? Is the eye lens distance alignment both automatic and comfortable? Can other people hear the internal audio?
This reminded me of when you asked Craig about the VR headset and he went 😳”I don’t know anything about what you’re talking about” haha we’ve come so far!
Forcing ppl to watch an ad before the video actually begins feels like watching tv in the old days. Ditching RUclips more and more lately for alternative platforms unfortunately.
The separate battery pack is a bold choice - however, why stop there? Why not put some of the hardware in there and lighten the load?
3 WORDS: READY PLAYER ONE
This is actually the best way to have "hands free". This eliminates all those who walk with their phone in their hand and who drives with their phone in their hand.
And instead walk around with a scuba mask on their face
Wonder who walks on the wrong side of the street. Happens here often people bumping in each other.
Always blame person who don't know what side of street to walk
Imagine you're on a flight and all the passengers are wearing this headset lol.
Just as important as the product is to this segment, i think it gives a big preview of how they envision how a self driving car integrates and interacts with occupants.
*This is revolutionary! Analogous to when they first launched the iPhone!*
Can you try ti link every Gimli just because you need him for this hourly rate?
Best Vision Pro preview by far !
I can see that they did not allow filming it and you have made sure that their decision impacts the review. 😄😄😄
Great review, thanks! ❤😎👊👍
everyone been posting i tried the headset then you click on the video and they say actually apple did not let me take photos with it on
0:04 the thing is, we don't know if it really was an Apple spokeperson that said "no".
If this could adjust to become glasses for near or far sighted people as well this would be amazing
🔥🔥 actually amazing!!
I can see a benefit for say mechanics working on repairs on a new machine or a new model, where you have the real thing and superimpose the digital version. But as is, I don't see mass appeal.
Wait you can watch movies but nothing over two hours 😅
So far, answers to real issues with other headsets have been ignored in this video.
Are there any instances of blinking, visible pixels, or blurring?
Any instances of UI shaking or misalignment with real objects during head movements in AR mode?
Is the eye lens distance alignment both automatic and comfortable?
Can other people hear the internal audio?
No
This reminded me of when you asked Craig about the VR headset and he went 😳”I don’t know anything about what you’re talking about” haha we’ve come so far!
I can't imagine people wearing this headset in the same room. Just use tablets, phones or some beamer with Powerpoint on it.
Forcing ppl to watch an ad before the video actually begins feels like watching tv in the old days. Ditching RUclips more and more lately for alternative platforms unfortunately.
I’ll wait for the Apple Vision SE
Superb review loved it ❤❤❤🎉😂🎉❤❤❤
This technology is going to be mind boggling in 5-10 years.
true
I'm hoping for that Tony Stark hologram set up around the house personally.^^
can you say the quality of the ar is it really like advertised?
wish you talked more about fov, heat, sound etc... in your experience.
The separate battery pack is a bold choice - however, why stop there? Why not put some of the hardware in there and lighten the load? What about connecting to your Macbook (etc) to farm out some of the processing demands? It looks super nice, but I hate the idea of a heavy object on my head - other than books or a cool steel hat.
So they actually had a years long batter of putting even more powerful computing in a external pack but decided not to do it ultimately.
