Wherever you are Robert. We, who appreciate great artist's and vocalists, are still listening and loving your music. RIP man. You will never be forgotten.👌👌👌
One thing I respect about him in this concert, is that he's rocking that suit the whole time! When in reality he's probably sweating to death in that thing! R.I.P. Robert Palmer! ❤
So much more to this guy than just "addicted to love" and "simply irresistible"...much more soul than I gave him credit for, as well as being a class act all the way. RIP.
This performance was done six years before Robert Palmers death. He was 46 at the time this video was made and still sounding quite good. Who would think that he would be gone by the age of 52 when he had a fatal heart attack in his hotel room in France.. Robert was an outstanding singer and performed music from soul to ballads to hard rock. This song is my favorite. RIP Robert, you gave us many enjoyable moments.
+dlagrua Robert was actually 48 here and died at 54 so you're two years out - not important in the grand scale of things. I totally agree with you - he was an outstanding singer and performer. Miss him
The song that introduced Robert Palmer to me in 1980. I used to hear it on the radio when I was in the last year of high school. RIP Robert Palmer and John Moon Martin.
I remember watching his performances on Don Kirchner's Rock Concert and Burt Sugarman's Midnight Special. He was AWESOME NO matter what he sang. He could do hard rock, R+B and soul. His voice was distinctive. You knew it was him from the very first note. I regret never seeing him LIVE in Concert.
Checking out all RUclips versions of this song tonight and it's clear that even though this must be the millionth time he had performed this iconic song, Robert P is still having a ball with it. The pitch of his voice had dropped a tad in later years but that growly, more gravelly quality has only added to the performance in my opinion. Whew.
Robert Palmer is one good singer….. man can really use those pipes of his….. this is one great concert of his…. love it to be released on DVD….. sooner rather than later……. RIP ROBERT !!!!!!!
The Guitarist on the Right of Robert is Eddie Martinez. ROBERT'S Guitarist and Prior to Robert's Passing, His Very Close Friend. Max Weinberg and Company are Good. Eddie is GREAT !!! Too Bad They Didn't Let Him RIP Like He CAN !!!
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot believe I have not seen this yet. Robert Palmer should not be gone, I should be.
I saw him in a interview he said he would sometimes forget lyrics so he would lay the songs out on the floor of the stage @ 2:54 you can see them on the floor
now look i have nothing against nickelback but i mean come on you can dress in jeans have long blond hair big detuned guitars and still you are not an inch of robert palmer he s wearing a suit and has short hair but he s badass he s got the voice and the attitude
In 1980 I was a college freshman. On my dorm floor we had "Secret Santa's" at Christmas - where all the girls had the boys, and the boys had the girls as our "Santa's" - and the more creative Santa's made us perform stunts to get gifts for weeks before Christmas - through notes, etc - while remaining anonymous. My Santa made me dress up like a doctor, and go from door-to-door on the girls side - knocking on each door - and singing "Doctor, Doctor, give me the news, I've got a bad case of loving you", at each door. I didn't mind because we had some really cute girls on the floor . That will always be my memory of this song.
Rob,Maxie and His 7....AWESOME!!! Gimme this any day over these modern music idols.
Wherever you are Robert. We, who appreciate great artist's and vocalists, are still listening and loving your music. RIP man. You will never be forgotten.👌👌👌

Very formal and elegant performer.... Rest in Peace Mr. Robert...
One thing I respect about him in this concert, is that he's rocking that suit the whole time! When in reality he's probably sweating to death in that thing! R.I.P. Robert Palmer! ❤
Yeah but he's looking like a real gentleman while rocking his heart out. 💋💋
Yeah that made him one of a kind for sure
Watch him in vinegar joe completely different person,
Robert, you were all class. God bless.
What a legend. They sounded good together. Palmer should have toured with the Weinberg 7. They really were a good band
This is. Robert at his best....miss his talented soul!!
This is still great music to drive to in summer
So much more to this guy than just "addicted to love" and "simply irresistible"...much more soul than I gave him credit for, as well as being a class act all the way. RIP.

+dlagrua Absolutely!!!! Love this Man!!!!
Unfortunately I think he looks pretty rough for his age in this footage. The years weren't kind to him.
Rhys Jones, nah, he didn’t look rough, he was just getting older and he was a heavy smoker. He was still hot here, and rockin’ that amazing voice.
And a coke user as well as a heavy smoker!😭
One the few performers who is even better live. Love this.
This entire concert should be released on DVD.
You are sooo damn right, SOO fucking GOOD .!!! Real good rock artists, I could listen all day long. 💋💋❤️❤️💯💯
Just think if your wife is a doctor and you play this song for her! my husband played this song for me and I'm a nurse practitioner!💃🥰
@@tracysharp1361 only person to say this to me as an m.d. was my wife!

The song that introduced Robert Palmer to me in 1980.

Robert Palmer never really died, he’s still here with us doing his thing.
I remember watching his performances on Don Kirchner's Rock Concert and Burt Sugarman's Midnight Special. He was AWESOME NO matter what he sang. He could do hard rock, R+B and soul. His voice was distinctive. You knew it was him from the very first note. I regret never seeing him LIVE in Concert.
i agree with every word you wrote!
He'd still got what it takes! Rockin' Robert.

Max is Amazing!
Second best popsong of all time! Can you guess what’s number one??
R.I.P. Robert Palmer
Thanks Robert.
The man of modern rock
Seal, rod Stewart, Roger Taylor and John bon Jovi loved him as a singer and all mentioned very very underrated as a singer.
I cover this song at each of my performances Jimi Zokar ❤
If I'm not mistaken, this is a full step down tuning-wise, and it is AMAZING!!! Adds a new punch to the song without a doubt.
Simply the best 😢
Mighty Max on drums!
I saw him in a interview he said he would sometimes forget lyrics so he would lay the songs out on the floor of the stage @ 2:54 you can see them on the floor
Some bar bands that covered this song changed the lyrics to I got a bad case of drinking booze
I Got A Bad Case Of Drinking Too Many Sodies
Robert Palmer lives
Musically yes, physically, sadly no.😥
I legit like it better in this key than in the original.
Only an englishman can be this good
❤️🇸🇪
😂
now look i have nothing against nickelback but i mean come on
you can dress in jeans have long blond hair big detuned guitars and still you are not an inch of robert palmer

I will have to find a new place to post and do my classic hits and oldies shows so no one loses them
Isn't the drummer the same guy who plays for Springsteens E Street Band?
saggioculo Yes, he is Max Weinberg and his band 7 - Max Weinberg 7
He also played on Bat out of hell and total eclipse of the heart
Max rules
could this band be any tighter? no
+ Jeffrey - Max Weinstein Orchestra !
Please excuse me Max Weinberg? The band on "Late Night/Letterman"? They were superb then also!
Drums
Eddie Martinez did phenomenal guitar work with RP.
rahkin rah the Max Weinberg trio was the band for the original Late Night with Conan O’Brien show, before the Leno/Letterman debacle.
Thats max weinburg 7 from either david letterman or his writer that has his own show he was on police academy their first assignment Conan O Brien
Oh yes sir!
I Got A Bad Case Of Laziness
