The guy dislocated my shoulder and held hostage for six hours. I was a therapist for mental health. And I was "on his turf". So I had an issue with pills . Basically if youre reporting an overdose to police or paramedics you cant be charged and neither can the person overdosing. It saves lives because no one would call an ambulance for an ODing person if they thought they were going to jail because of it. Thats how you get OD victims dumped in hospital parking lots and on the side of the road. Unfortunately good samatitan laws arent universal in the US. We still have a long way to go with our drug policy imo

I had to do the same to my brother n actually watched him lose pulse scariest night. It was like 2 am ... if i wasnt getting cereal i wouldve never heard him havin trouble breathing n would never kn ok w he was overdosing. Called the ambulance n they saved his life
So sad. I really hope this guy gets help. We need to stop treating them like criminals. This is a health issue. Drugs clench your soul and don't let go. At a certain point, they can't stop and they can't help it.

But step number one in recovery is realizing we have become powerLESS over our drug of choice and that our lives have become unmanageable and step 2 is realizing something greater out there has kept us alive this long and we have something to keep living for without the drug. Telling the girl to step back multiple times was a little over the top. She was just concerned and obviously no threat, however I did appreciate the admonishment at the end. It's amazing how fast NARCAN works.
I was visiting a couple of friends who used (up _and_ down) and the dude, Mike, cooked up an entire three-day fentanyl patch and shot it into his arm and nodded out. It wasn't until we noticed that his lips had turned blue that we realized he'd ODed. I called 911 and they were able to pump him full of Narcan in time to save his life and took him to the hospital. Two hours later he returned, saying he'd snuck out of the hospital because he didn't want to waste the remainder of his high.
There is always hope, no joke. I along many other human beings have succumbed to addiction for one reason or another. Either this life or the next you learn your lesson. Hopefully we all will all achieve enlightenment. I had the most remarkable experience about a year ago. Call it God, "the flow of life", or anything else you want but I pulled myself together. If you harbor hate I am sorry, addict or not we all are one in the same. Love one another, hold hope in your heart. I can't promise it will help, however I do guarantee that doing the opposite will have negative results for those who are afflicted by which ever drug that infests their life. except for certain psychedelics. : ) Everyone has their own path to take, yet all roads lead to the same ending. Are you properly trained In CPR? You can do more damage than good, and once you start chest compressions you CAN NOT stop.

Hopefully we all will all achieve enlightenment. I had the most remarkable experience about a year ago. Call it God, "the flow of life", or anything else you want but I pulled myself together. If you harbor hate I am sorry, addict or not we all are one in the same. Love one another, hold hope in your heart. I can't promise it will help, however I do guarantee that doing the opposite will have negative results for those who are afflicted by which ever drug that infests their life. except for certain psychedelics. : ) Everyone has their own path to take, yet all roads lead to the same ending.
