Anyone wondering. I have Moore tune with the factory stacks but I do have the carbon Smith stacks installed with alienhead 2 and sprint F1 filter. The bike is completely nasty good different. I wouldn't bother with cams unless drag racing. The down low torque and new mid and top power with the combo is outright amazing. For street guys keep the factory cams as you'll love the power band. I really would like a comparison between your Dyno tuning and real world or track tuning. It would be interesting to see the effect actual ram air has on the newer bikes. Many tuners are too lean because they maximize tuning on the Dyno and then the ram air leans the bike out at speed.
Is August 28th 2022 and 527 p.m. I was just passed by Moore Mafia bus and trailer headed 85 south! What's going on man I wish I could get my bike to you!
Now that you have taken apart so many Busas could you please make a video with the correct procedure to take the panels off and on again? I am about to install a pair of crash guards which need the plastic removed and i dont think there is anyone on youtube who has done the removal as often
That’s awesome….but I don’t mean to brag my 21’ Aprilia RSV4 made 208whp and 93tq with just ECU flash and velocity stack with stock exhaust 🤷🏻♂️ I still love the Busa 😄
Chris do an hp trq graph overlay of a gen 2 compared to the gen 3 with gen 2 being in the same state of mods and tune, then run that accerlation comparison option you can do with the dyno jet program to see which bike is quicler if you know what I'm talking about. My 2008 gen 2 with the full Akro, k&N, flashed to remove restrictions and rev extend with a pc5 for tuning made 188hp with 106ft of trq, on a non happy dyno. Im not a pro rider and turned a 9.28 at 152mph stock engine/airbox, lowered with a strap up front and the lowering rear link, SWB on pump gas at lebanon valley which is quite a bit above sea level, I don't see this new busa being as quick as the gen 2 and I cant remember what your best time on it with race gas on the gen3, though that was before you had tuning capabilities but your faster than me that's for sure and I don't think you hit 9.2's can't see this bike going as fast without some higher lift cams.
It's good yeah... But in a world of flashed zx10's now making 190hp+ is this really good enough from suzuki? My opinion, they dropped the ball and played it safe. Which is exactly the opposite from what the hayabusa was all about.
I noticed you don’t have a problem down the exhaust, how are you measuring the AFR ? I have one of these on my dyno right now, it runs beautiful, but I can’t get a smooth AFR reading… and even adjusting the AFR on Woolich, richer or leaner doesn’t seem to make any difference… any adjustments that I made in any direction, the power went down… not sure why… standard air filter, twin Yoshimura exhausts…
Going to be sending my ecu to you shortly to get the flash done for my 2023 hayabusa. Just have a couple questions before I do so. Are the carbon smith velocity stacks with the dimples a better option to make power? And also what length DME swingarm is that on your white busa in this video? Wanted to order the same one. Thanks.
Great Video (as usual)! Looking to purchase a Generation 3 Hayabusa however, plan to go with an aftermarket 4 into 2 exhaust, flash the ECU and install a turbo. My questions are: 1). Which Turbo Charger would work best with this model? 2). Would the stock Velocity Stacks work with this set up or is it best to install the one of the aftermarket versions? Thank You!
Hey Chris, what in your opinion is the best velocity stack for drag racing on a Gen 1 hayabusa? Running with no air box but have the factory stacks on right now and the bikes going way rich in 5th and 6th gear. Looking forward to watching your runs at VMP man! I’ll be racing there as well in pro et
Hey Chris, love the busa videos. I have the same busa as you do. What was the price on the blue rims/ tires that match the bike? I don't remember if you gave a price.
Ok, but now you have 2 cylinders that are probably running leaner than the other 2 unless the airbox distributes air differently to the outside cylinders. Just keep it stock. It's not worth 2 hp but that's just me. 5hp from an exhaust, velocity stacks, and tune. That's the difference between a hot day and a not so hot day. Lol
Love Love the Busa. Always have. But why does it get outrun by the GSXR virtually everywhere? Is it strictly a weight thing? Looking to get back into drag racing and deciding which platform to start with. Thanks the advice.
@@Force1Com Not initially. Just wanna race and have fun. I'm a bigger guy so I feel like the Busa being a larger bike would look better with me on it. Lol.
But aren't you missing the airstream in the front, a lot of power comes when the RAM AIR starts to kick in. But the bike need to have the airflow pressure...
That valve only makes a difference at very low throttle openings. It's in place for emissions and noise drive by tests the factory's have to pass in many country's. It's why fitting a full system and getting rid of it doesn't loose anything.
@@shadowred1980 yeah? So my bike when i removed the muffler and left the cat only, the low end dropped significantly. Most probably due to lower back pressure right? So a valve in my case would be beneficial i guess?

@@Popsm0ke wouldn’t that be the opposite, large dia headers woulds be least restrictive thats good for highend hp, but low end hp back pressure is useful is my point. Think i may have confused you with my previous comments
So it gained less than the billet stacks did in our testing and had the same midrange results. Comparing an untuned bike is a poor result. When doing a side by side both stock and aftermarket should be tuned
It's not the head.... It's the cams. They are designed to pass the new Euro 5 emissions, therefore they cam in with more low end torque and less hp up top.

Roughly how much hp should a healthy 2004 Gen 1 make with a tune & a Yoshi system?
With testing velocity stacks wouldn’t the actual speed of the bike affect air flow because of the ram air
