I am a licensed manicurist and I have had mediocre results with every other product except yours. My first successful set and it looks crisp and beautiful. I am so excited for Christmas to make them buy me more nail polishes. Take it from my experience, buy the right tools for the job. What your grandpa said is actually true. Thank You Maniology!
When I first got this I was sad having many problems. The stamper would not pick up the image completely and sometimes not at all. I used everything the way it says I should like in the video. Even when using the stamping polish. But I believe I have found my problem and now have no problems working this! I was in a big open room, no fan on. But the fact it’s an open room with drafting from the connecting rooms passing by and with the sun was coming in, the air was very cold was also a problem. Just as I was gonna send it back cuz I got soo many things I tried one more time. This time in a closed room no draft and room temperature not cold or hot, closing the blinds! And just like that problem solved! It’s amazing and looks fantastic! Easy to use haha now that I do it in a closed room that’s at room temperature and no sun light hitting in. I’d recommend this to anyone with the same problem I had.
Oh that's good to hear! Working in a room that's too hot or cold or in a direct draft of air can speed up the polish drying process, which can be a reason you are having trouble picking up and transferring stamps on to your nail 😅
I actually came to RUclips to try to solve the problem that no matter what I did, I couldn't get the stamper to pick up the image. After watching several videos, I figured out two issues I was having (and therefore other people might have): 1) When scraping off the excess polish, I was initially scraping it so the extra polish ended up on TOP of the card (like a snow plow). It took watching the videos to see that it should have been kept under the card. This was much better at leaving the right amount of polish in the design. 2) When it didn't work the first time, I kept trying to stamp with increasing pressure. Someone offhand mentioned that you need to use light pressure with the stamper on the plate to get the image to transfer. Seemed a bit counterintuitive, but that was absolutely true in my experience.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We recommend to apply more polish than you think you need (covering the entire design) and scrape lightly. Removing too much polish too forcefully can affect your pick up. Then roll the stamper lightly over the design. When there are issues with stamping, we recommend going lighter rather than harder which most people tend to do when they are having issues. 🥰😉

Once you take off the blue strip on your plate ,do you recommend putting it back on after use to protect the plate ? Well I guess you answered my question so no need to let me know. I loved your video and your nails look amazing !😊
I saw the designs and bought a half dozen plates-not for stamping my fingernails but for some other art projects-some of the designs I seem to remember from way back when and thought I would try to transfer to copper or silver or brass even . I know they were not meant for that, but I was thinking the designs could be etched onto jewelry-again, copper for starters. I will let you know how well it turns out. So I assume I need silicone to start with, and some polish and not much more. Thank you for your video! Much appreciated!

I know this is coming 11 months after you commented, but I found a bottle at Dollar Tree in the section with beauty/health items and makeup that you can fill with acetone and pump with a press! I'd originally grabbed it to fill with isopropyl alcohol for cleaning up resin work and have to grab another next time I'm there 💕
Hi there,i'm a qualified builder/hard gel Nail Tech from the UK and first time watching you, thank you for being so imformative and chill (eg:slow) in your teaching, often RUclips creators vloggers will rush so kudos to you,i had no idea about the scotch tape,we are advised to use a lint roller so will get some of that for sure, can we buy from you at all if so do you ship internationally?
Thank you for your interest! Shipping to the UK has been suspended indefinitely due to Brexit requirements for foreign businesses regarding VAT registration and filing which makes it difficult for small businesses like us. We currently don't have a set timeline to resume UK shipping. We apologize for the disappointment.
This was a great introduction. You explained the process and products so patiently and thoroughly. I ordered my started kits and can't wait to get it to use on my daughter and myself. Wondering how long it will take to ship to me?
We're so glad you found this video helpful! As for your question on stamping on nail wraps/strips - I think you'd have to test how your strip works. Some of made of gel others are regular polish. For stamping to have the staying power, it should be encapsulated in a top coat after stamping. As long as the strip can handle the top coat, we'd say yes, it works with stamping. I think you just gave us our next video idea :)
Hi good afternoon to you beautiful queen I want to thank u for explaining your voice is so understanding and calm thank will follow u i am a newbie to the show was having trouble with stamping😇🥰🥰
12/17/2023 Good morning my first time here. I want to start doing my nails. To be clear I do not get my nails did on a regular basis. My wedding, if I had the $ felt like I wanted to get them done I would. So I know I will not be doing nails to make $, my nails all the time. I cannot tell how many videos I've watched on nails. I am interested on the stamping for decoration it looks simple. I know its not when something looks simple its not. Lol! Sending Love from Chicago Smooches 😘
Y not use the latex tape before stamping to reduce the use of scotch tape &/or acetone? I'm a beginner who has NEVER used a stamp kit before however, this is the 1st video I've watched that hasn't called for the latex tape. I mean no offense. Is there reason YOU don't recommend it? Other than that I am totally enthralled with this video. Thank you so very much for sharing your expertise and knowledge with us!
We definitely recommend using latex tape before stamping. However, not everyone has access to this or similar products to use when they first start out. So the idea is that a latex product is definitely helpful it's not necessary to get started with nail stamping. Some people may not have the means to pick up all the bells and whistles to get a project started, so it's offering more suggestions. I hope this helps answer your question.
Nice! Definitely can’t wait to try this out. I’m wondering though why didn’t you use the stamper that comes with the kit? You used a different stamper which was circle? Is the stamper in the kit not that great? And if so where can I purchase the circle one you’ve used in this video?
Great question. For video purposes I wanted the audience to see the stamping clearly and it gives a wider view, so the monocle is my go to when I really want to showcase the stamping. You can find this product on our site at: maniology.com/products/the-monocle-stamper-xl-round-clear-stamping-tool-stamper-collection. As for the Ice Cube stamper, I have had no issues with out of the box use, however I can give you a few tips for the Ice Cube stamper specifically: 1. Make sure there is no oil on the surface. If so, please wash with mild soap and water and pat to dry. Another way to do this is to let your stamper sit on white paper for a little so the excess oil can come out of the product. The oil is a natural part of the production process. After doing this, I usually can go right into stamping. 2. I've noticed the Ice Cube kinda likes a rolling motion for a clean pick up. Although, I have done both the rolling and up and down with ease of pick up. Let us know if you need any more tips. I hope this helps.
Hi , thank you for your interest! The polish streaks left on the plate don't get picked up on the stamper since the polish is spread so thin. Only the engraved areas will get picked up. Check out one of our live swatching of our polishes where no editing was done: ruclips.net/video/m7MmjHziVS0/видео.html. You can see many steaks at the 1:30 mark, but the stamper doesn't pick it up. There are also streaks galore at the 1:54 mark but that also did not get picked up by the stamper. We recommend scraping lightly just once or twice as sometimes trying to remove all the "streaks" is counterproductive as it removes too much polish for a clean and crisp pickup. I hope this helps!
To the girl that asked why she wasn't getting an image on her nail there is a certain amount of pressure that you need to use when stamping it on your nail if you stamp on the plate too hard it won't lift up the image if you stamp two light on your nail it won't transfer
I got a free starter kit I have a stamp sheet from my gel polish set was never able to use 😒 planning on buying more plates soon Thank you for the tutorial
You can actually use regular polishes for stamping but stamping polish will work best as they are formulated for such a purpose. However, regular polishes might sometimes work too depending on the formula and opacity. Try with polishes you own that are opaque in 1 coat and they should work. 💖
Thanks for the patient (and sweet) intro to stamping! This is my first foray and I feel better about trying something new if I can find methodical overviews. 🤔 Wish me luck! 🍀

Welcome!!
Thank you for this informative video! I am just getting into stamping and this was so helpful.😊
Glad it was helpful!
Can you use this with gel polish?
Thanks so much sister for this tutorial,I love your job, please can I dry with nail lamp after applying the top coat?
You can just air dry if you will use the Maniology Smudge Free Top Coat, but is you will top it with gel top coat you may use a nail lamp. Thanks!
@@Maniology OK dearie,thank very much
This was a great introduction. You explained the process and products so patiently and thoroughly. I ordered my started kits and can't wait to get it to use on my daughter and myself. Wondering how long it will take to ship to me?
Glad it was helpful! :)
Great tips. Just made my 1st order today
Loved your video thanks!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You are a wonderful teacher! Thank you!
One bit of curiosity - can you stamp on top of nail strips/wraps?
We're so glad you found this video helpful! As for your question on stamping on nail wraps/strips - I think you'd have to test how your strip works. Some of made of gel others are regular polish. For stamping to have the staying power, it should be encapsulated in a top coat after stamping. As long as the strip can handle the top coat, we'd say yes, it works with stamping. I think you just gave us our next video idea :)
Thank you for all the great tips and tricks!
Thank you for showing the messy part of it...😊

12/17/2023 Good morning my first time here. I want to start doing my nails. To be clear I do not get my nails did on a regular basis. My wedding, if I had the $ felt like I wanted to get them done I would. So I know I will not be doing nails to make $, my nails all the time. I cannot tell how many videos I've watched on nails. I am interested on the stamping for decoration it looks simple. I know its not when something looks simple its not. Lol! Sending Love from Chicago Smooches 😘
Hi! Thank you for the wonderful message. We are happy that you liked our videos! :)
Thanks for sharing this with us. I am looking forward to my first plate kit arriving soon. Looks easy to use and lots of fun too.
Glad it was helpful! Have fun playing with your kit! 💅
Question, my stamper only picks up a little of the design not the whole design, could you maybe give me a tip?
Can you use a small paint brush to use for cleaning?
Edit: this vidio was sooo helpful ty❤
You could use a cotton swab if it fits in the areas you need to clean excess polish. So find the best item that works best for you :)
A donde consigo ese sello cuadrado y las placas gracias desde Colombia
I got a free starter kit I have a stamp sheet from my gel polish set was never able to use 😒 planning on buying more plates soon Thank you for the tutorial
Great! Thank you!
Just got my kit today! So stoked!
I am from Jamaica, I didn't know you needed stamping polishes.
You can actually use regular polishes for stamping but stamping polish will work best as they are formulated for such a purpose. However, regular polishes might sometimes work too depending on the formula and opacity. Try with polishes you own that are opaque in 1 coat and they should work. 💖
