A Phrenology Exam - Binaural Role Play - ASMR - Personal Attention, Ear 2 Ear

- Hello there, my fellow Tingleheads! :) I spent the last week building a schedule and preparing my shooting space to start churning out a much higher frequency of content. I think you all will be very pleased with the amount of videos that will be released on a regular basis. Now, in this video, we take a trip back to the 19th Century. A time before psychology. A time before self-exploration was also big business. A simpler time, when the contours of your skull could determine the content of your character. So sit back, relax, and enjoy a calming visit to your local Phrenologist.

I died laughing at the Oregon trail reference. It's always Dysentery!
For me, it was cholera, or drowning.
I know! god damn dysentery.
Andrew Shepherd SCREW YOU DYSENTERY
I about died laughing too....
And never, ever, EVER ford the damn river
I have to say, the ASMR community spends so much energy and acting for the sole purpose of helping others... It's quite amazing. As someone who has sleep-problems I just want to thank you for making these videos.
Hey ur last names pretty interesting my guy
Utterly perplexed at that range of voice acting. I could tell it was southern, but it was so thin i couldn't tell if it was an act or natural. Thats really good, like crazy good.
Honestly you could probably be an actor, you are really good at pulling off different characters.
I suffer from asperger's syndrome.. And asmr helped me (before it even had a name) cope with everyday life.. I used to have to rehash asmr moments in my head from movies or moments.. But now that artists like you are around, it's made it so much more enjoyable :D thank you for all that you do!!
Same for me.
dankz 4 sharin m9
I feel ya dude!
"Suffer"
Balraga Its actually quite difficult having Aspergers.
This continues to be one of my go-to ASMR videos that I can keep coming back to over and over and over and over again. I don't know what it is about this video that lets me play it ad nauseum when other videos grow old, but I think it's how you leveraged the character to keep muttering and mumbling /so believably/ while messing about in our hair that it breaks the uncanny valley and lets me really believe in the roleplay and in you as the character.
Brilliant idea & marvelous ASMR performance! The scripts for your role-play videos are amazingly detail-oriented (and often hilarious)... and this one is no exception. Keep up the awesome work, Ally!
Thank you for the kind words and encouragement!! :)
I was suffering from Appalachian Beaver Face and Duck Knuckles. But thanks to Doctor Bueregarde's Amazing Nerve and Brain Tonic I'm cured!
You're a plumb liar and you knows it.... why, there ain't been a case of Duck Knuckles here in nigh on... well, since Pappy Hebert was in knee pants... and that's goin back a ways.
I hope you know how talented you are. Not only are your videos tingle-inducing, but your thought, research, and creativity shines brighter with every video. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. ❤️
I listened to this while my dog walked me this afternoon. I thought the accent was great and enjoyed the video very much. Too bad about paw; I'm sure his epitaph was excellent.
"While my dog walked me"😂
I think I would've been totally satisfied if Ally had just sat there naming every part of the diagram at the beginning 😂😂
Wow, this is an insanely creative idea.
Thank you, my friend! :D I really appreciate that!
+ASMRrequests Does Phrenology help with the Collywobbles?
Jay Unknown Why, yes, sir, it does!! So come on in anytime!
@@samvimes9086 In case you're still around, she's back. One last video posted on this account with a life update and a link to her new channel!
wait...its been 6 fucking years...
Did you know you were mentioned in "O" (Oprahs magazine)???? Someone wrote an article on asmr and u were the first one mentioned!! :-)
Wow that's a HUGE mention!
What I like is that there's always character development in her videos. She never misses an opportunity to add dimension to her role plays and make them believable. That's why Ally is my favorite ASMRtist.
First thing I thought of when I saw you was the lady from the American Gothic portrait!!
Me too!
Haha, that's all I can see too! I think maybe she was a bit of subconscious inspiration. :)
The ending gave me a thirst for a snake oil salesman roleplay vid.
I get the sense that the phrenologist could be Salmon's great-great-grandma, somehow. She doesn't have the same degree of social awkwardness, but definitely a tendency to slight over-sharing (loved the Oregon Trail references!). I also liked how you gave her the same far-off look in her eyes when she's remembering her mishaps & losses that Salmon gets right before she paints our eyebrows together in your photo shoot video. Just curious: were the similarities intentional, like Salmon's pic on Avalon Divine's wall?
Huh
+Amy Ring Or maybe it's one person that is a Time Lord that regenerates through the ages, or travels in a TARDIS
Quinn R5757 honestly I would not be suprised
q_rob 57 IS THIS A MADDAFOOKIN DOCTOR WHO REFERENCE
Have to say, best southern accent I've heard in awhile. It's not over exaggerated or cliche, it's just perfect. As Mississippian myself, it's nice to see that not everyone imagines southerners as complete idiots. So in conclusion, thank you, good job, and nice day.
Wait... Southerners aren't dumb?
+David Mobeck There are plenty of smart people in the south, I assure you. They simply aren't as loud as the others.
It's a great Southern accent! I agree! But as a Missourian, I can assure you that no one has this accent here. Didn't diminish from the video, though, which is shocking - my hometown pride is usually stronger than even the most calming videos :)
BiologicalClock smart people usually are quieter.
Wait, do some people actually think Missouri is in the South?
Can’t believe this is almost a decade old
As soon as I heard mentions of wagons and dysentery, I was waiting for the Oregon Trail joke. Love it! Although sadly, my oxen died while fording the river.
2020 And here I am watching your videos again
it's been over 4 years and this is still one of my go-to asmr videos
I like the twist on the plain ol' crainial nerve exam.
that damn Oregon trail
i havent had a so great and deep phrenology exam since the Crimea War. thanks , madam. all i wish in my life is to find a good and decent lady as you are to found a family , and have no less than 12 children (just 3 will survive more than age of 8).
Why is Ally doing ASMR videos when she should be a Hollywood actress? She's beautiful, intelligent, and a wonderful actor!
You’re complimenting a female that wears make up. You’re doing it wrong.
I'm always blown away by the quality and creativity of your videos! Not only do you have great ASMR skills but you put a whole new spin on it thats always so fun. I watch your videos when im in a "i wanna watch ASMR but not sleep yet" mood lol because they're entertaining as well as relaxing.
I miss the level of content in ASMR. The love that went into it.
Big facts this was the golden age
This is very creative! I love what you've done and I love the white noise in the background, great job! :)
I've seen one too many asmr videos that all follow the same general concept...thank you for always being original! It honestly is so refreshing! Great great job Ally
Alley you are rare, talented, brilliant, creative, beautiful, but most of all a genius for making these videos, you are head and shoulders above anyone else, thank you from the bottom of heart!
This is by far my favorite of all your videos. Never fails to put me to sleep :)
I just love your southern accent Ally. It's amazing how well you can achieve it. It's hard for some people to create a believable southern accent. The accent with the ASMR aspect just added more tingles to this already great video. Love you Ally. :)
Among my favorite asmr videos :) I have always gotten hair raising tingles from being in a doctor's office, getting checked out. Measuring, both in person, in books, and in videos like this, is likely my favorite trigger, and whenever I need a good trigger, I always rely on this video. Great work on it, you did good with triggers, and a bit of an educational value at the beginning as well. 10/10 rating
My anxiety often keeps me from falling asleep. After I discovered ASMR videos, this problem has reduced dramatically. I watch this video in particular almost every night. It hits my tingle triggers perfectly - all the sound effects, the soft talking throughout, it's just the perfect video for me. And now it's become so familiar, too, that the sounds lull me to sleep even easier.
Thank you for what you do. It's so important.
You sound like Clarisse from silence of the lambs
This is one of the best ASMR videos I've ever watched, really. You're great! Keep up with the good work! ^^
Wow, I never realized there was such great background noise in the windchimes!! Such great quality in the video, so happy I came back to it
Excellent work! Relaxing, tingle causing, educational and entertaining. Plus the Oregon Trail dysentery reference was the greatest thing ever.
You should do a Star Trek medical exam skit.
YAS
+ASMRrequests please do this!! it would be amazing and you're the only artist who could do it justice
Amber Barnett TRUE. I WOULD LOVE THIS.
Ahh I am so happy that my little contribution into your patreon helps you to make even awesomer videos than your normal videos! This is so cute and I love the little sassiness you put into videos like this!!
Love all the references used from The Oregon Trail, I was near sleep and every time you used one I couldn't help but chuckle. Great job!
Amazing roleplay, I especially enjoyed the character you set down. The parts of the video where the phronologist states something like "and then my father died" and subsequently smiles in a rather sheepish way are great!
This is so good. I never thought I’d enjoy a video with “ASMR Phrenology” but it ended up being funny and relaxing
A woman phrenologist? Why I never thought I'd see the day
Idiot
Love your channel Ally! Your ability to be creative is unparalleled. I appreciate your efforts. Phil
This was one of my first ASMR channels and I absolutely love your abilities with the different accents. Best wishes.
you are so awesome for this video. One of my first tingles as a child was reading a book about Clara Barton and there was a section where a phrenologist was touching her scalp, the feeling was soooo good I went back and read it like 5 times over.
This was wonderful, medical stuff is alittle stressful but quackery I can just sit back and relax! Thanks!
This is actually AMAZING! Got my ASMR going crazy! You're one talented lady. It's actually bittersweet, I watch your videos to relax me before I sleep, but I don't want to incase I miss anything! Keep up the amazing work :)
What an aural and visual treat ! You're so perfect for these type of uploads: pretty, funny, well-spoken and intelligent. Please keep making them for awhile more.
This IS classic. "Phren". All Greek to me!
That's what Oregon Trail needed! A phrenology exam mini game! ☺
What a creative concept Ally! Well done! Thanks for everything you do for us. I really appreciate the tingles, relaxation and sleep that your videos have afforded me
I love that you are so inventive with your ASMR videos. I also laughed at the Oregon Trail references. Thanks for making these videos, they really help with my sleep.
Awesome video. My go t when I am going to sleep.asmr requests is the best channel for asmr
I keep coming back to this video. For some reason, even though pseudoscienctific stuff in general makes me very uncomfortable (... I can't really explain it, it just does), this video never fails to give me tingles. So good on you, Ally, for making me forget my discomfort. :3
this is by far one of the best asmr vids out right now. its got plenty of triggers
As a history major from Oregon, I really love that you 1) pronounced Oregon correctly and 2) brought up the Oregon trail! Which I feel doesn't get brought up enough. You're one of my all time favorite ASMRtists! :)
I wonder if she is salmons ancestor?
2 years and I still have never made it to the end of this video
At Home Up North ikr. I feel ashamed.
This is weirdly the best thing I've found to study to. It really helps relax me and yet keeps me focused.
What I love about your videos is that you can be super creative without straying away from the relaxing/asmr theme.
Ally, I LOVED this, I was both amused and relaxed. And this accent is one I am quite familiar with. Sounds almost Florida panhandle-ish, specifically. Oh, to be southern.
What a great video! The accents rather soothing!
I have really been enjoying your videos lately and this was just as amazing! So creative, and all these new ideas and experimentation with filming and themes is just brilliant.
Ally, I freaking love your videos. You put so much thought and development into them. It is appreciated. I listen to one of your videos every night to fall asleep. You're basically the mom I never had. So, Thanks!!!
as soon as You said: "..you'll need that sense of humor ..when its the Dead of Winter" I started laughing, laughed even harder when I found out it was two oxen got lost.
haha while this was very relaxing, i laughed during every story about the bad things that happened on the trail. tingles AND laughter. awesome.
If nothing else, I'm amazed at your dedication and willingness to experiment and push your own limits. Awesome job on this one, and very unique concept.
I love how much creativity and humor you put into your videos!
Oregon trail references had me laughing, excellent video ally.
Did i just play Oregon Trail?
Love love love! I've been listening to your videos for about a year now and I never get tired of them. I feel like I know you without knowing you! Lol. Keep making those tingles :)
this is the first video of yours that I have seen. Lots of ASMR triggers for me and I love this character! great job!
Dysentery on the Oregon Trail... Yeah I caught that reference you clever girl you.
Doctor! Is that you? Which one?
Lol! I was about to make the same comment!
***** Early 90's computer game called the Oregon Trail... Most people who died in the game died of Dysentery.
I love finding a whovian in the wild! And I love your references you clever boy. ;)
+John Smith False. It was released in the early 70s. I think either '71 or '72.
Phrenomenal!
Hey I said PHRENOMENAL.
Anyone?
/standing ovation
👋🏻👋🏻
Thank you sooo much for making these wonderful videos! I'm a huge fan of them. They make me relax in a way I never thought possible. And as a new mom I really need these breaks. Once again, thank you!
"It was the dysentery"
"So he shit himself to death? Brutal"
Waited and waited for my results so I could embark on my next stage of life. Never heard back so I turned shifty and took up gunslinging.
Thanks,
William Bonney
aka Billy the Kid
I've been waiting for someone to do a Phrenology ASMR video for YEARS!!!
You are my angel :)
Because of this video, I went and downloaded Oregon Trail to my laptop. I haven't played that game in about 25 years! Thanks for not only relaxing me with all the wonderful triggers in this video, but for also helping to relive some very fond memories from my childhood!
maybe watching westworld before this wasn't such a good idea. I keep hearing delores.
Oregon Trail references have me rolling lol
This is the best ASMR video i've ever stumbled upon. Keep up the good work!
Loved this! Great acting and your videos seem so real on not just like "Here's this for tingles and that for tingles and bye." There's actually a depth to the role play like it has a lot of thought and reality consideration out into it. I loved the character you portrayed here and even the background ambience you had of the country and the wind chimes. Perfect! Each video of yours I watch gets better and better. :)
I always wondered how old you were since you look young, and with that amazing OT reference I can tell we're from the same generation. Love the phrenology choice, it's such a forgotten "science"!
I like her....she is incredibly funny as well as very relaxing to listen to. Good acting skills as well.
Loved it... the sepia toned monochrome photography really fitted this period piece.
Did not expect the opening and explanation of phrenology to be so good! So, comfortable! Big like!
Appalachian beaver face... Gets me every time... 😂
Hahahaha. I can't help but laugh at this comment every time I come to this video. So true though!
duck knuckles...
Keep coming back for this C: Love it
Been here so many times after this comment :D!!!
Ally, the time and effort you put into these is awesome. You're doing a great job! I always look forward to your next vids! :)
Wow, one million views! Guess I'm not the only one who keeps coming back to this one.
This is one of my most favorite ASMR videos, with interesting story and lots of triggers :-) Well done Ally!
I love that American flag! That extra detail in making this role play that much more authentic!
well done!
You are such a GOOD actress!! I'm always so impressed by your role plays! I truly appreciate all the work you put into them. So thank you :)
I keep nodding off and then giggle-snorting myself awake every time you work in another completely straight-faced Oregon Trail reference, lmfao. Your videos are so wonderful and unique, and I love it when you sneak in all sorts of geeky things like this. Tingles and relaxation and bubbly amusement all in the same channel, hurrah!
Almost 10 years ago, whoa
