    Flows better than a ported CJ!! Wow. I didn't know. I ended up buying one (round inlet) for my Procharged Mustang just based how I want the engine bay to look and knowing that Holley know's how to make a sweet intake manifold. Thanks for the video!

      But why? What do you think holds more heat? Plastic or metal? Plus being modular, there is more leak points.

      @@coyotekelly7143 you right , I just like the price and because can be ported a lot more for more air flow

      @@coyotekelly7143 Engine Masters did a whole episode on this. Air travels so fast through a manifold it doesn't have any time to pick up additional heat. Plus, it will actually get warmer slower than a composite manifold but hold similar operating temperatures.

      @JP Tech Talk Recommendations for a test: Compare a ported holley vs unported holley. Also holley vs cj (both of them ported vs unported). Last but not least ported vs unported holley both with cams (l &m intakes or Comp stage 3s). I would love to see a indepth analysis/test like this. Hint hint👀😂

    • @jptechtalk4685
      @jptechtalk4685  Год назад +1

      It really depends about the rear structure of the hood. A lot of the higher Hood still have a stock style structure in the back center. If the raised height of the cowl carries all the way through to the back of the hood then it should be fine

  • @JROC734
    @JROC734 Год назад

    The hell with a Mudstain. I'm tired of dealing with Mudstains, catfishes/fireturds that force you to compromise an intake manifold due to hood clearance. How will this work on 18-20 F150? Would a high rise fit under the stock F150 hood, and be better than low rise? How easy would it be to mod it to accept the F150's speed density sensor? I saw one listed for a new GT500. (which seems odd unless you're going turbo) New GT500 is also SD instead of MAF, so are there already previsions in the intake for the SD sensor? You mentioned potential vacuum issues with this manifold. Will that be a problem for SD?

    • @jptechtalk4685
      @jptechtalk4685  Год назад +1

      You would need to drill and tap the map sensor or adapt one of the existing ports to something that was an adapter. Vacuum isn't a problem you just need to figure out what you're keeping (brakes, evap) and plumb accordingly.
