I don't need coaching, as I've been knitting for over 50 yrs. But I wanted to add a comment anyway to tell you what a great idea I think that is. I've watched a lot of knitting videos (always eager to learn new techniques), and I haven't seen anybody else offering private coaching. Good for you! I hope it works out well.
I have yet to start the sweater and i am glad. i have learned so much in listening and participating in the Face book group..Right now i am finishing a KAL with the knitting place and will take on my cardigan with a renewed sense of confidence!!!
I like it. I am thinking it would be useful to be able to lengthen sleeves or a sweeter to taste :) Once satisfied with the length, I can add the ribbing.
Hi. looks like a great technique. Just used in to cast on a bottom up sweater. Now that I've knitted several inches, I'm wondering about the ridge formed from the backward loop cast on...the stitches don't seem to be "live", they look to be sitting on the cast on edge with the barber cord inserted. Just wondering if this cast on edge appears once we start knitting at the barber cord (cast on) edge? Thanks in advance for any advice. I'm concerned about the cast on edge showing once I start knitting on the barber cord end. Hope this question makes sense...Thanks in advance.
Hi Terri! I have not encountered having a ridge. The only thing I have had to do is sometimes knit into the back of the stitch because it was not seated the correct way.
I used smooth yarn on my Instagram page (it’s pinned at the top of my feed). My goal with using a not smooth yarn is to show how easy the technique is regardless of the yarn! Happy knitting! 😊
This is LIFE CHANGING!!! Thank you!! Dina told me about it and I’m BLOWN away!! Thank you!
You're so welcome! Oh I LOVE that Dina 🩷🩷🩷
This is genius! I’m always struggling with the unraveling from the crochet chain 👌🏼
I’m so glad you like it!! 😊

Thank you very much Carol 😊
Brilliant technique. I am not sure a boucle yarn is the best for demo though.
I understand your comment, but I wanted to show that even using a harder to see yarn, the technique is amazing! Thank you for watching 😊
Your PCO technique is absolutely brilliant. Thank you for sharing 👍🏽
Glad it helped!
This is am lifesaver. Thanks❤
Oh I’m so glad it helped 😊
That is just plain incredible! Now I have to choose a project where I can use that.
I’m glad you like it! You can use it for hems and fold over collars. My pattern In Bloom Sweater has a fold over collar. 🌸
Thank you so much, this is a fantastic technique!
My pleasure 😊
Great instructional technique video.... thank you for sharing!!!

Thank you for the demo. Do you use the slip knot as a a stitch?
Yes I do.

Okay, thanks for getting back to me 🙂
Genius
Awwww, I’m sure I’m not the first to think of it. I’m so ex it’s to share!!
Interesting…..do you always do a knit row first or begin your pattern stitches?
Begin with your pattern stitches. 😊
This would’ve been so much easier to see if you’d used a simple yarn instead of that lovely boucle.
I totally get that Kathy… I purposely used a textured yarn to show how easy the technique is… I used a smooth yarn on my Instagram reel. 😊
Hi! I clicked your one on one lesson links, top and bottom, and got an error may be me? Sharing in case
Thank you!! I’ll double check it.
Why wouldn't you use a yarn that's smooth. Would be so much easier to see. Thanks!

This is not a true provisional cast on. It is essentially pre picking up stitches on a finished edge. Look at Laura Nelkin’s video for the real deal.
Thank you for your comment. I’m simply showing how I do things, that’s the great thing about having your own channel. Have a great day! 😊
Genius!
Thank you Patti! 😊
