- The AFS bi-xenon headlight of VW Golf Plus will be presented in this video. You will see all the parts consisting the xenon system of the headlight, hence if you have a low beam, bulb or AFS failure at your Golf Plus headlight (2004-2014), you will know which part to replace.
Great video! Quite detailed. I have a VW Jetta Variant with xeno headlights and AFS. Since yesterday the system is stuck during the initial adjust. It seems that the step motor succesfully adjusts the horizontal beam but fails on the vertical beam. It is possible to replace the entire adjustment mechanism or maybe just the vertical adjustment? Thanks in advance!
Does my ballast need replacing? My left low beam doesn't work. I switched sides and still left side doesn't work. Bulbs are good. I'm not sure which fuse to check but everyone I have looked at, looks good. Any help is appreciated. How do I test a bad ballast?
You can swap the non-working ballast and the working ballasts on both headlights. Put the non working to the working side headlight as well.
Hello, I have the same model of Golf Plus xenon headlight from 2008 and it shows a faulty AFS error. I have seen the left headlight that sometimes does not move and the light stays lower than normal when starting the car. Other times if you make the correct adjustment movement. Could it be the motor or the module that fails?
It can be the module or the leveling motors' fault. Needs to be checked both.

I also observe when I am driving the lights when turning curves to the right and left the headlights do not turn to the sides the light does not direct
@sandrogh5008 if your motors are at place, more likely the faulty part is the afs module
@@xenonland I found the AFS module in a second-hand car scrapyard, the exact same model changed it, the problem should be solved

If new, it should be coded. If a used afs module is installed, most of the cases go straight
