A couple of ideas you might think about. Both with the vacuum sealer. Plastic Straws. Especially fire starters Slit and fluff starter. Light and use the plastic as an extender. Also Mylar bags for materials that are oxygen sensitive.
I have a food saver, so I will do this! Anything to reduce weight and bulk. I make gelled alcohol cubes for my little fire dragon stove. I wonder if this will help prevent drying out or at least prolong the shelf life if I wrap in foil first, then seal in bag? I'm going to try it. Thank you for sharing. I enjoy your content. 😊
Thanks! Because this method makes a secure hermetic seal, it should definitely prevent your cubes from drying out, and I would even try it without the foil since the actual bag material (at least the genuine Foodsaver brand bag material that I use) is should be thick and rigid enough.
Great question! The only difference is that the bag has to be sealed on 3 sides before you put the liquid in. If you want to put a liquid or gel into a bag that's 1.5" wide x 2" long, make a 3-sided bag that's 1.5" wide x 4" long. Then put the liquid or gel in and squeeze it down so it is all in the bottom. That will give you more than enough room to seal it.
This is a great channel keep up the great work

Looks fantastic 👍 I like the 4mm zip top bags bc they’re more robust than the thinner ones. I plan on getting a food saver soon. Excellent ideas.
Nice job!
Thanks!

@@cleverengineering2 OK thanks. I have the bags so will give it a go. 🤞
Is there anything special about making the little packs for the liquid items that differs from the pill packs you made?
