I was a CNA for the elderly for years and I can state that many times when an elderly person has a bad infection including an urinary one they can become extremely confused which may be diagnosed mistakably as senility. Once the infection is cured usually the person returns to their previous condition.

Yes. My husband's grandmother had one and they were thinking she was dying. I convinced them to take her to the doctor. She was back to herself in a week. 😊

My grandpa had a bad UTI and was telling my dad that he couldn’t find his phone when it was in his hand. He was 100% adamant that it wasn’t in his hand. Even knowing this information it was still one of the scariest things I’ve experienced with my grandpas health.

To Iris’s daughter, Thank you for what you do in caring for your parents, your mother when at such a vulnerable time in her life…THANK YOU! So many kids as soon as they need help at an older age put them in the nursing home. I know when she was well enough to understand is so thankful for you..this is a scary thought for all of us when we reach an age of uncertainty. You’re a good woman, a good daughter…I know God is proud of you ❤

Thinking stress contributes to a patient's period of discomfort. The medical technicians helps ease a patient through that time. Your program is outstanding!😊

When Iris didn't know who her daughter was it hurt my heart for them both. My husbands Mum is starting to go through dementia and he's terrified that this will happen with her. Dementia really is a cruel disease.

Indeed, but was nice about Iris was that she wanted to know who she had around her, even if she did not remember them. That is, she fundamentally cared about family. I hope your husband will be able to cope with the constant loss, if it ever comes to that.

I had the same problem with the urination when I was in the bathroom. I peed after doing things every 15 minutes, so I took the oxybutynin and it was awesome and it helped and stopped the frequent urination from bothering me and my bladder and urination.

ESPECIALLY if the germ carriers are in daycare. While I know they are building up their immune systems, they are very contagious. I've gotten sick at work because of parents who got sick because of their toddlers who got sick from another kid/kids in daycare.
Also, people who've had the flu would come to work and pass it on to co-workers. Next thing you know 75% of the office were on sick leave for a couple of days to a week.
      KEEP YOUR COOTIES TO YOURSELF!!!!!

Remember, One size doesn't fit all. I had bronchitis several weeks a go and still have a lingering cough from it. After 6 weeks, 2 of those weeks being on antibiotics etc., I'm certainly not staying home because a lingering cough annoys someone else. It's not uncommon to have a lingering cough for 3 months after a bad bronchitis. Not everything is flu, rsv, and covid or even contagious.
