Love the channel. I think the first thing people need to realize is that just getting yourself an avr and a 5.1 setup will dramatically change your experience. I bought the Denon 760h from Costco and put my 5 channels in the ceiling with Klipsch CDT 180s. Paired that with a Klipsch R120 sub and it is mind bending compared to a soundbar. Is it like most of the theaters on your channel…not even close but the cost difference is a years salary. Using the Sony x90j 75” for my tv and I’m stoked.
I like the Audio convention that you're at but to be honest you have to be rich to buy a lot of these items here.. I live in an apartment with cement walls but I never can find anyone that specialize in flat speakers? That will make a lot of money to a company apartment dwellers like myself..
@@jaydoublebusy I didn't think I had to explain that part because I obviously can't use the in-wall speakers because of my cement wall. I mean there a lot of company that specialize with in wall speakers..
The problem with his explanation of the line source is, it depends on how low they go. now the planars might be doing complete line source.. due to there size and frequency they play. the woofers on the left most certainly do not. since they go lower then the length neede to consider it a line source at those frequencies. so doubling distance will lower the output by 3 db compares to the lower frequencies of the woofer. that does -6dB Exact same sound pressure level ? thats bold. a poinsource drops 6 dB a line 3.... still it will be down in the kitchen... lets say its 8 meters away... compared to 1 thats -3 + -3+ -3 = -9 db for the top end. and unfortunate -6 + -6 + -6 at the lowest frequencies. -18db..... (give or take since room adds a bunch to make up for it)

Hi Michael, I had a memory foam sofa which I think was absorbing all the bass. Now I've just replaced them, and all the speakers, have turned into an absolute mess. My walls are pretty bare, but don't have the budget for room acoustics. I can barely hear the bass, and the sound is sometimes distorted. If I get a second subwoofer, will this helps restore the sound to what it was when I first bought the set? I've got the wharfedale dx2s
How many working people can afford this stuff ....i challenge any manufacturers to sit in my living room and then tell me there stuff is better .....REALLY come sit down bring a doctor because my stuff will through 1000 watts of clean 0.0001 distortion at 120 watts yup it will make your ears bleed and oh by the way 122.79 investid ya dude under 150 and mine will eat yours for breakfast

Theres tons of flat speakers out there. You mean a thin on-wall speaker?
Look up Monoprice. They make inexpensive inwalls and possibly onwalls.
