This curved line source center sounds like an amazing innovation! Would address center channel imagining for TV setups and allow solid vs. acoustic screens.
DYI group and others have been messing with this for a while. Does look promising.
This was the best demo of the show, in my opinion. The Quest screen was very good, although I did notice a few things with motion and a couple quirks. The Wisdom sound was killer. My one regret/question was I sat in the second row and nobody was in front of me (the whole row was empty), so there was nothing obstructing me from the center channel. I wonder what it would have been like to sit further back and have bodies between me and the center channel. Probably the solution is having a center channel above and below the screen and having tall risers, but, depending on ceiling height that may be an issue. It was still the best sounding demo of the show, imo better than the Trinnov/SF/Mc demo that kept getting raved about. This is not the last we'll hear of solving the center channel LCD-megascreen issue!
Impressive system! I was originally going to do my center array horizontal but decided against it at least in part for what he was talking about, all the necessary DSP and amplifier channels that would be required. Because mine could be behind the screen I decided a physically curved vertical array would be a lot easier. Still complex compared to a conventional speaker but nothing like what they have in this system. I bet it sounds pretty amazing.

Based upon the uniqueness of the speakers, would you say it is like a well-tuned room or more like wearing surround sound headphones? Trying to correlate “removing the room” in the gentleman’s description of the speaker design. Also, did the acoustimass SW move your pants leg?
When will it be affordable for home use? What response times for gaming on that led 16 foot?

My goodness! Absolutely wish I could've been there as Wisdom, Ascendo, Perlisten, and now NextLevel (based on some of the content I've seen) are on my short list of possible contenders for cinema 2.0!
Those amps would look awesome in an in-wall rack, Maybe even painted to match the wall or evenly layed out with some diffusion/acoustic panels!
If I start saving now, maybe I’ll be able to afford a set up like that by about my 4th reincarnation.😔

Probably due to cost
Christie Digital acquired the pro audio company SLS Loudspeakers that was also developing and selling cinema line source speakers with planar transducer elements, and Christie now sells the SLS cinema speakers for use in Dolby Vision cinemas. So there are more examples of companies using line source speakers for cinema.
Wow Is it fair to call that central channel? By the way ,Youth man , Is there any better way to centralize the channel to the center of the screen without placing behind the screen and without the phantom central ?

I don’t understand why they call it a transmission line sub when it’s clearly a tapped horn.
So with a setup like this what do you think the cost per movie is just in power? That’s a huge video wall which I really want! But that’s a lot of amplification so I’d be curious what it cost to run this setup outside of equipment cost.

I don’t mind spending on theater equipment I just hate giving my money to the power company especially when I see the largest windmill project in California from my home and 3% of them are ever in use and I know wind is not the issue. It has a capacity of 526 Megawatts but they never use more than around 100 megawatts of what it can do so we get gouged at 27 cents a KWh here.
Ok. How much? If it's less than a million I'm all in but I have to win the lottery first and then build a new home to fit this system in.
How did the subs perform?
I was at this particular show but missed this room. Wisdom had another booth with 2 of those STS subs flanked by 2 Cinema Line Sage 2 (same as this video) and a hybrid center channel above another Quantum LED screen (maybe 100”). At this point I knew of Wisdom from Youthman’s tour of Atlanta Home Theater and Alex’s room (who is now the CEO of AHT). The STS subs are unreal for just (2) 15” in that enclosure. The area where those subs were is wide open so no boundary gain or anything like that and I distinctly remember waiting on line to experience the Trinnov/McIntosh room and I was maybe 40ft away from the Wisdom booth and my pant legs were vibrating from those subs. They are awesome. To have 4 in a closed room must’ve been heavenly.

Thats the worst center channel i ever seen in terms of design !!! oooooh damn will people lack top end of axis ! i know they try to go CBT design (using delay and shading). but with 7 drivers that are 70cm long thats not going to work ..... bad bad bad design. there drivers should be like 1/5th of that ok smaller... thye prob know but this is what they already made.....
