I'm gonna be honest here and say that the thought did enter my mind that one or both of you ended up at the urgent care from that friggin' nightmare of a bathroom, so am VERY relieved to see you both survived and are taking the day off from hard labor. I like your idea of painting the "throne" gold and using it as an outdoor planter.
When I was a child, my parents had to remove a willow tree from our backyard because the tree roots kept blocking the plumbing lines. Your videos bring back memories of household maintenance. Impressed with your determination.
Thanks 🙏 No choice I'm all in to rehab the entire property. The support of this group really helps me to stay motivated so I really mean it when I Thank you ❣️
@@dnixon205 We we're looking into that it just depends on how the drain situation goes. The problem is that the house is 2/3 underground cinder block construction.
You guys enjoy your rest day, you deserve it. Your progress in seven days is amazing. I don't like channels with wads of money, because I can't relate to them. Love you loads.😊😅❤
@@Karmafriend-jz4cf Yeah we both feel the same way it's hard watching someone just say tomorrow we're having the new shower installed and do a reveal video. Must be nice 🙂
Yesterday was the 16th of September. I swear I thought you guys found a Cantina and were shaking your maracas between shots of tequila. 😅 Boy was I wrong.
I think that you have definitely earned a day of rest, you both look exhausted. Fingers crossed that things go smoothly for you now as the worst bit is over
She must be missing her husband, hope she feels better soon. You guys kicked butt in the bathroom, you deserve the day off. Holding thumbs for the drain. In Italy most of the b& b's have a tiny wet room where you almost have to shower over the toilet lol, at least you have space for it.👍😋
I was thinking if you use the old tub for some garden produce. U could set it somwhere close but out of the way, fill it with dirt, leaving the drain open use something that will keep it from plugging up so when it rains it doesnt flood and grow produce or herbs in it. Or flowers, plants, whatever. Just a thought. Rest up guys.
Ya might wanna check code there.... i know here we cant have a wet room with a breaker box in it. You can have a bathtub or shower but not what is refered to as an open shower room. They said its dangerous due to possibility of electrical shorts and a wet floor
I know you didn't have the time or energy to move everything out of the house at once, but it does cut down on the work to get everything clean first. I learned that the hard way fixing up an old house from 1895 about 22? Years ago? I can't lift anything much over 30lbs more than once or twice anymore. Hopefully you will not have to chisel up the entire floor's plumbing and replace.
I have the same issues in my neck that disk replacement didn’t help. Pain all the way to my feet now. It could be worse at least I can walk and think. Well, the thinking never was that great lol
Eek! I don't want to hear that. Ha, ha. I had 2 discs removed with one fake one put in plus a piece of hardware. 3 months into recovery and the pain is still intense at times.
@@melissaroth4467 that’s a short time 3 months. You will probably improve more and more. I have damage to the spinal cord and nerves. Hopefully you don’t. A lot of people feel a lot better down the road with that surgery. God Bless

Good morning Folks. Enjoyed your outdoor bath. James the wet room is the best idea. I'm 70 now and can't use the bath at all. Only shower.
I've definitely decided on the wet room idea😊

I'm kinda digging having it outside to jump in when I feel like it. Might just pile the stone back up outside 😆

Next is firewood as soon as I can get the bathroom back to functional 😊

Yeah Dana sleeps in the Bus he's got it set up really Cozy in there and he has his kettle, fridge, freezer, etc!
Were you have to put the shower will it keep your toilet and sink wet when you use it?
Water will splatter in all directions.
Working on all the possibilities 😉
Can you replace the plumbing yourself? Hope so. I just paid a small fortune on plumbing after a water leak in my house.
Oh yeah the plumbing is easy especially if I'm starting from scratch like I'm going to do it's been hacked together for years.😊
If you do the wet room you won't be able to have the washer and dryer in there.
And must move electrical out.
He can always put a wall for the shower!
@@jeannelyon-potter4756 I think the purpose of going the wet room route was to avoid having to do that though.
We'll see it's a work in progress and in all honesty the washer and dryer just take up way too much space in there. I'm weighing my options.
A metal frame that can suspend from the ceiling and shower curtains will work and be cheap.
Look your not hitting your head! Way better use of that tub!
Thanks 👍
