2005-2012 Toyota Avalon Telescoping Steering Wheel Fix!

This is a fix for third generation Toyota Avalons (2005-2012) to make the telescoping steering wheel lever not fall on its own AND to tighten it so the wheel won’t telescope while the lever is in the locked position.
Yes, I know, I skipped showing reassembly. It was five minutes of me fumbling around and even I didn’t want to watch that clip. Reassembly is opposite of disassembly.

Thanks nick, great video. I had the issue with the lever being locked but always slides down slightly. Gonna try your tightening fix

This just fixed my 2011 Avalon. Steering wheel kept getting loose. Hope it fixed my extreme torque steer issue. I’ll find out this week if it did.
