This is what we call Singapore's spirit, never shy away from failure. It's takes great courage to be courageous again, this year the parachuting team performed a very fantastic formations. It's called "Dragon descending from the sky", Prosperity on the way here.
Thanks CNA for filming this! Jeffrey truly shows the fighting spirit that exemplifies the Red Lions and also our Commando formation. Jiayou and hope to see him back in the air in future NDPs!
When he crash landed, there was a super loud clanging sound. His steel balls against the platform. Turning away from landing into his teammates and making the choice to take the damage is a true soldier.
Happy to see you back in action and we are all inspired by your resilience and determination! Continue to live your passion and thank you for your service! 💪🏼
I was seated just metres away from your fall sir. And not seeing you moved for some time, i nearly teared my eyes….bcos I clearly recalled the crashing sound. Must be in great pain for u at that time. Anw glad that you have recovered. Stay safe sir!
I remember when we were there at the Floating Platform watching the Red Lions come in. When 3WO Jeffrey was landing, I recall telling myself "he's much faster than his teammates". Next thing we know, he hit the ground hard and rolled, and there was this audible gasp from the audience and the crowd went quiet. His team quickly came to his aid, and we moved to the next segment as 3WO Jeffrey was rushed to the hospital. After the P&C segment, my radio came on to said that they will pause the show to make an announcement for 3WO Jeffrey. Joakim appeared on the screen, and made the announcement as seen on TV. The working party at the back cheered, as we were worried sick for him - different formations and committees were exchanging information as they were made available to us. Glad to see that he's much better now.
Landing at floating platform area is not easy as it is a narrow space. I believe SAF commandos are the only team in the world to do it on a live show . Salute to them
Honestly I hope he gets into a better state of mind regarding the incident. It’s okay to talk about emotions even if it’s fear, regret, etc. I hope the SAF arranged a counsellor for servicemen who go through such incidents. And finally, he is clearly a competent red lion so he should always remember that.
Thank you 3rd Warrant Officer Jeffrey Heng for showing your vulnerability. I cannot imagine what was going through your mind. I'm glad you are with us, and you are well and healthy now. Jiayou!
Steering away from team mates to avoid collision requires not only skill, but bravery and sacrifice. For honour and glory! In memory of my running buddy, Sgt Henry Hwee, Sgt Leong and Sgt Tamiselvam.
Most likely disappointed and embarrassed with his performance. Man that expect nothing less of himself is the best man for the job! I am glad SAF-CDO have him and he is fine now!
Why is the editing on this so poor? You've cut the grammatical subject out of many of his sentences. Does Jeffrey actually begin sentences with "am going home" / "am able to do"?
He may be a great camera man but he's not a very good parachute pilot. Flying a large, lightly loaded parachute is not safe. It's a common mistake in skydiving.
Jumping near tall buildings is not worth risking life and limbs, even for NDP. The crosswinds from the tall structures and landing at a very small LP with spectators sitting nearby is a disaster waiting to happen.
Don't belittle the man for showing his emotion. That's his professional pride on display.
Glad that he has recovered and is able to do what he loves. A resilient guy with a never-say-die attitude. Respect!
coming back from setbacks is never easy, we would all do well to take inspiration from Jeffrey’s story 😊 can’t wait to see you in the skies again Sir!
Courage is knowing you took a bad landing and yet standing up on your feet and going again! Much respect to this passionate guy!

*All respect to this Parachuter for soldiering on and being resilient*
Can’t help but love this guy! Wishing him the very best.
Its not about falling, its about getting up and going forward again. True hero for many.

Can really feel how much joy being able to parachute means to him! I hope he is able to get back in full action soon!
Im so glad that he recovered from the injury. So resilient. Respect man!
You can do it Jeffrey!! It’s so inspiring to see him getting so motivated to recover and train himself up! Thank you CNA’s team for this video!
Seeing him so emotional made me feel so touched. He could be feeling that he had let down the team.
Happy to see you back in action and we are all inspired by your resilience and determination! Continue to live your passion and thank you for your service! 💪🏼
He basically dropped himself to avoid hitting his team mates and others... Hormat Warrant Heng!
Because he knows any of his Red Lions teammates will do the same for them. Without hesitation.
@@okaydoubleu absolutely. :)
Glad to know that he is recovering well.
Thank you for the service Sir, take care! Great follow up by CNA.

He saw his team mate in front of him and decided to steer away and crash land onto the ground. Respect.
Solid ah Encik. Really proud of your team. All the hardwork paid off.
Thank you for your service 🫡 Happy that you are back on track to doing what you love.

Worked with him during my NS, 3WO Jeffrey was always friendly and easy going.
Good to see you back, Jeffrey. Just do that jump again - Fall down seven times, Stand up Eight!
Congrats & be back in full robustness in due time , kudos . 😘
I hope the organizers can squeeze in moment for this year's NDP for him to join the red lions on stage after they land!
What a champ! A true role model, very very happy that he can jump (and softly land) again. 💪👍
Thank you 3rd Warrant Officer Jeffrey Heng for showing your vulnerability. I cannot imagine what was going through your mind.

If only he was eligible for a Laureus comeback award ...

leave no man behind.. i hope it wouldn't happen again
OMG, I don't see the need for good men to risk their lives for a show. They already risk themselves during training and exercises.
20th July 2023
I believed he would jump onto a granade to save his teammates.
❤
Make the lion roars again.
It takes balls upon balls to want to do it again. Maybe steel balls to top it off

Means parachute technique is not fail proof and the whole isn’t your drop zone. Better technique needs to be invented.
