Those single turbo swaps makes them N54s sound much deeper and different than having twins IMO
💯% totally changed the tone of my car. Twins was more raspy but single is more growl tone 👌🏼. Also tuning vibrant resonators like shown above in vid.
Yes because with Twin, you litterally have x2 3cylinders raging at the same time. (2x 3cyl to the exhaust). With a single turbo, it's 6 to 1. Big change for the sound !!

The Hamann exhaust is so overlooked. Glad I have it on my n54
To put down a better weld, you need to move slower, may have to turn the heat down because the penatration will be greater. It’s easy if you are welding with gas and have the settings set correctly. Flux core without gas isn’t hard if you have a steady hand, a good welding helmet (use shade11) and put your eyes on the welds being laid down If you can’t see the current weld being made.

Damn man you beat me to it! Honestly didn't know if being in the middle was going to be too low for the 5in diameter bottle. My other option was to mount 2 5in bottles in the rear where the muffler would be. I have to get my exhaust custom so this is good info! Other than that just adjust the mic volume. Had it all the way up and a commercial came on and destroyed my ears lol. - AllSchwarz
So glad I did this 5 months ago, definitely the best sounding exhaust for sure, did you have a stiffening plate midway down? I had to cut mine due to the can being farther aft because of the transfer case.

Yes going from a 2.5 to a 3.5 no cats on a single set up helps dramatically. Way more flow with no restrictions.
but only if you let more air in.. and for real performance difference, put an optimized tune for the new airflow

Next time you need to mark a straight line on a pipe just wrap a piece of paper around the pipe. If you make sure the paper lines up you get a perfect straight line.

Full catless 3.5" VRSF turboback "street" exhaust here... You got a "race" version which was dumb! Mine is very quiet, I don't know if you can get quieter than this exhaust. Look up videos of that. Much quieter than your exhaust, and sounds much better (no offense).

The exhaust looks like 304 stainless, so that calls for a TIG using 308 filler rod. The MIG won't put enough heat into the base material and you'll see the weld won't penetrate the material, it'll form a bead that stays on the surface. Just sharing so your viewers know not to do it this way. Still love the channel though.
