Blank Space is tongue in cheek, with the people who say she’s “crazy”, “mental”, and only has month long relationships. It’s showing her go from love to her being “crazy” for seemingly no reason. Ohhhhhh! Side note!! She tells the production team what her vision of the music video is and they work to put the things she wants. She’s done this from the start as well in her earliest music videos. They are all high caliber and mini-movies for a lack of better words. 😂❤
Look what you made me do is 99% Easter Eggs and about Taylor “killing” the old versions of herself after Kanye and Kim tried to push her off the cliff. She came back in the strongest way possible. You should watch that one again without a reaction and see all of the heavy dissing she did in this song & video. It’s epic!!

That's why at the end of the mv, when the guy flees, the next guy pools up because it portrays an endless 'serial dater' cycle that the media said she created. She gives an excellent explanation of this at her Blank Space performance at the Grammy Museum.
- Look What You Made Me Do has to do with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and a whole lot of people, involved in a whole situation that basically started cancel culture... I could get into it, but I don't think you are ready for it.😂You have to watch Miss Americana.

I don’t know if anyone has said it yet, but the speculation about the Japanese subtitles is that she’s going to announce Reputation Taylor’s Version in Tokyo when she’s there next week on tour. All her Reputation album videos have Japanese subtitles right now. Welcome to Taylor’s Easter Egg hunt.
I am pretty sure these Japanese subtitles have been here forever though, it's not a recent addition. A more compelling for her announcing that she could announce Rep TV in Tokyo is that this is where she ended the Rep tour on November 21, 2018.
Also, Pay attention to the blue dress zombie Tay is wearing, its the dress she wore in her last music video from the 1989 era for the "Out Of The Woods" Music Video right before the world completely turned on her and started calling her a snake. And which you probably know, reputation was her 'comeback' from being gone for a couple years, she literally disappeared. And Look What You Made Me Do was the First song/Music video to be released since the "Out Of The Woods" Music Video.

This may be an unpopular opinion because we Swifties can be an impatient bunch BUT- to enhance your journey into Swiftdom I think you should 1st- watch Miss Americana. Since you’re new to her art, I think it provides remarkable insight into who she is and her song writing process. It also provides a lot of context for her reputation and lover albums. 2nd- watch all the music videos. I really feel that this will provide you with a lot of the Taylor/fan inside jokes, Easter eggs, etc, that will only enhance your Eras tour viewing. And let’s be honest, you have plenty of time. The tour’s starting back up, we still have two re-records to come…Even without all that, we’d still be here to watch even if she didn’t have any “buzz” at the moment. I'll also add that Taylor Swift is the main event. Whether it's an album release, a music video release, a tour or just to show up at an award show, she's the main event. All eyes on her.
To this day, she still goes to Target and buys her album on the day it's released. She'll take pix with fans and interact with them. At award shows, even if she's not there to perform, she's dancing and singing while the artist is performing. She is there to have a fun time no matter what. She's a joy to have around ❤.

We’ve been on the edge of our seats for weeks waiting for her RepTV (Reputation Taylor’s Version) announcement because she’s been wearing coded outfits and accessories all pointing to RepTV.
I would prefer just finishing up the eras tour and then miss Americana. Miss Americana isn’t really needed to appreciate the eras tour whereas it would be if someone recommended the reputation tour instead.

It’s been talked about that the Japanese subtitles are because she’s about to perform in Tokyo. It could be an Easter egg regarding Reputation (Taylor’s version). So I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned it but I really think you would like her son New Year’s Day.
I am a someone who has been a fan since the beginning. My mom & I used to talk about the stories behind her songs. We live in Kansas City, MO. We're Chiefs fans too. My mom is passed & gone now...and I wish I could sit my dad, brother and husband down & do the full explanation of all of her music and songs and videos. Hell, I explained to them last night that she is re-releasing her music, changing her music so its HERS now after what happened with Scooter and Big Machines Records. It kinda blew my brother's mind that she's having to go that route to claim HER own diary back from her old record label.

I would SERIOUSLY recommend doing the Eras Tour all at once as a Patreon offering and then post it in parts on RUclips. It’s a show that is meant to flow together as one expansive piece of media that paints a larger picture of her musical career. stopping and starting between each era all in separate videos released at separate times takes you out of the full picture she intended for us to see. I IMPLORE you to release it this way. I think the artistic integrity that the show is meant to have and the way it’s meant to be viewed is in one piece, not split up. I would recommend doing the same thing for Miss Americana. These are pieces of media meant to be consumed in their entirety.

Luke, let me help you out understanding Taylor:~
She always plans every single song when she’s writing it, she writes the lyrics then has a session with her chosen producer, then she plans the video to go along with the vibe of the song and at the same time, she’s planning the costume and the dance routine, then when it gets to the live show there’ll be a reference back to the video (hence the golf club). Then if there’s some story going round or a popular culture incident or drama in her own life, there will be a reference (hence the snake imaging which harks back to the Kanye West incident).
Watching live performances in isolation, although you say people ask you to react to videos, you need to start at the beginning of every song because every single has a journey of its own.

I'm SO glad you're watching these two MVs before you reached those parts in the Eras Tour. Because the sets and choreo for them on tour are both heavily based on imagery from the MVs, and now you'll be able to recognize it when you see it. You could understand the LWYMMD set without the MV, but Blank Space would be a bit confusing. In any case, I think having context always improves the experience.
I became a proper fan when the Blank Space video came out. The app with the Blank Space Experience allowed you to watch it in 360 degrees. IT WAS THE COOLEST THING EVEEEEEER.
