I chose this song for my Nana's entry procession song at her funeral next Tuesday in Gippsland. I listened to it first on Spotify... reading through all the comments here on this video; I understand now why I started crying immediately on first listen. Some beautiful memories and tributes shared.

Love this song, make me remember him, when he was young and seeing for the last time in the Barossa at the next table with his family. He is an Australian Legend, I will continue to listen to his music when I miss the country life. Thank you Slim.

I was backpacking through Oz. was working in a pub on the Daly River in NT. Met some great people, this song would play on repeat. much love to you Aussies, especially the Aboriginals.

My poppa passed away not that long ago and he loved this song and him and my nana were at Renmark (australia) when slim passed and poppa never stopped mourning him but now he’s up there with slim and they’ll be having a good old chat and drinkin lots of beer
I came across Slim when searching for a song "When it's lamplighting time in the valley" awesome I will enjoy his music and sound for a long time. Sorry to know he is gone. New fan for sure.

This song was at my sons funeral back in 2017, it's not something I would have picked but I had no say, it worked though, it's beautiful and very fitting for a funeral..
We did also for my dads funeral. I can listen to slim dusty anytime.
