I'm currently reading it and it's so amazing!! I've also noticed a loooot of gay subtext in the book as well. Which makes me every happy because being a bi woman I feel like I'm kinda being seen through elphaba. It's so amazing written!!

Before this book, I think you can only love or hate characters. But then Elphaba happened. At first, I don't cared about her, I don't like her, I don't understood her. But trough the book, I fell in love with her. The way she is thinking, the way she is loving people, her fear of emotions and crying...It all gave me so much. I cried over this book, I wanted to kill the author, and I laugh too little bit. Such a good book. One of my favorites.
sorry for my English, it still has gabs...

I’m so glad that this popped up because my nephew, 18, read part of WICKED over Christmas when I showed it to him. We both like the musical but I really loved Gregory Maguire’s book and I am glad you spoke of its being incredibly detailed. It was a book that really resonated with me and I am glad that I read it before I saw the show. Thanks for this cool report!

This book sounds like a really good read. I think I may go ahead and pick this up for myself. I have been trying to get into a good book this summer and I havent found one yet.

I don’t like this book AT ALL! 😭 I feel so bad cuz I love the musical and I know that the under-messages are good but I can’t love it!! It’s taken me like 7 days to read it and I usually take 2-3 days
