- Hey guys, I am in Kyoto, Japan for a couple of days. Had to stop in to check out the Katana at the Tozando store while I was in town. There are two Tozando stores here in Kyoto. I did a video on the other store as well so please check that one out too. This shop carries the Iaito practice Katana, original vintage Katana and a lot of other martial arts gear. I’m 68 yrs. old now and have loved this stuff since I was 9 yrs. old . It started after watching the movie “ The Seven Samurai “ on TV with my older brother. Since then I’ve watched or own just about every major Samurai film that was ever conceived .
Next year we are going to Japan and there is no way I’m coming home without something. My gift to me for 50 years of working my tail off. 😊
I love swords and katanas all that stuff too. I did buy one Iaito but I wanted a real katana. Hope your trip is awesome next year! Definitely recommend shipping the katana back home. About $70 bucks to the USA. I flew my Iaito back and Japanese customs went nuts and made me unpack the unsharpened sword right at the baggage check in to make sure it was not a real weapon. I thing a lot of people were entertained with the whole deal at Narita Airport. Thanks for supporting the channel!

It was a fun adventure to Japan. Glad you noticed the Goldpanners shirt. LOL
wow its kind of crazy that a sword is worth 5 000 000 yen and that suit of armor is only 1.65 million yen. The amount of hours it would take you to make that suit of armor would be enough to forge, grind, sharpen and fit at least four katanas, yet its worth less. Especially the mail portion.. that requires a lot of painfully slow work.
I agree. Maybe the armor is the best deal?
