Bro. I fuckin love Pantera. They are more than just a band making music. Pantera is a fuckin lifestyle. Saying that though, I will accept “Pretty Good” from someone who doesn’t listen to this genre of music. The message of this song is probably more attractive than the musical end of it to someone that isn’t use to metal music.
Ok. I was a metalhead most of my teens going forward (saw Metallica over 100 times since ‘81). I met my last ex husband, the most damaged abused institutionalized man alive, period. Every fucking morning for 11.5 yrs he’d sing the Philly Eagles fight song (& im DIE HARD NY Giants girl, i see EVERY GAME LIVE, 40 years, i travel all season)... This all said, he woke my ass up to that song & this for 11.5 years! And u know what? I fucking LOVE it still. Its real. This generation i am a part of , Pantera is, is fucking hostile!!!!! Perfection!!! Love this shit. Its real dude. If u were a child of the maybe late 70’s-90’s before an adult, WE WERE PISSED. The divorced MTV spoiled with old school whoppings, this is US. Thats what this means to me. And i was AT Moscow. Prior to my career, i was a grunge - metal groupie & musician. I kinda feel like if u didnt experience it at it’s peak time u wont know the anger .. my 2 cents lol. 🖤✌️🤘
