Great video, totally agree on having clean tools and buckets. I had some extra coating so I coated my buckets and dolly’s and it makes cleaning even easier.

Mobile detailer here. In reply to what you said about buckets. I don't really know anyone who carries the bucket bases with wheels as they take up extra space and we have to be really strict on what we take in the van. Also, most of my customers have gravel driveways so one of those wheelie bases wouldn't work. This means the buckets get put down and moved around on hard and uneven surfaces all the time which really scratches up the bottoms. Although I am more on the detailing side, as someone who is mobile a lot of my bread and butter money comes from more basic valets. This means my buckets will be used a lot more in a day than someone who has a unit and mostly does one car in a day or over multiple days. Unfortunately, you just cant avoid the buckets being beaten and battered. As for having them dirty though, I completely agree. I will always rinse my buckets inside and out after each job and then wipe them at the end of the day. Really love your videos man, very enjoyable to watch and I have learned a lot. I'm even thinking of migrating to koch chemie after watching your videos :D
I completely understand that as a mobile detailer your buckets will get beaten more. I wasn't necessarily talking about the bucket dollys, I also understand that you can't take them with you. I was talking more about the buckets that have a lot of scratches on the side (inside and outside). These types of scratches collect dirt and make them look old and maybe even a bit cheap and unprofessional in my opinion. I'm sure you know what I mean. After cleaning my vehicles, I spent the afternoon cleaning my polishers, emptying my wet dry vac, reclassifying my microfibers from "paintworthy" to general cleaning to "grunge" and refilling my spray bottles with detailing chemicals. As they say, great minds think alike!
Our buckets do get torn apart because of the in n out and all the driving some stuff moves around that’s where the scratches come in lol but some of us try hard to have them as clean as possible

I just recently ordered a bunch of The Rag Company towels and mitts during their latest sales and my friend's posting them over to me. As long as what you're getting is okay being shipped through customs, you can probably find a similar arrangement too!

Was waiting for the most important part: how you keep your shoes white! 😂 I wear white trainers when I wash my car... needless to say they're not white anymore. Also I feel the same as you about the dirty buckets. Buckets are so easy to clean, I don't understand why people let theirs get gross. Rinsing them out after every wash makes sure the dirt never gets stuck and is so easy to do.

@@bartomiej3225 Will bear that in mind but Koch Chemie products are no longer available in my country due to the shipping routes from Europe being re-directed around South Africa (the importer cancelled the shipment as the cost is prohibitive), so it'll have to be cheap man's APC for now 😔

I have been detailing my friends and family's cars for a while now thanks' to your video's and was hoping to bring my detailing to the next level. I know that you are a seller of the IK foam pro pressure sprayer, and for me that is a bit pricey. I was wondering if I could use a generic pressure sprayer off of amazon and get a similar effect. Thank you in advance, and for motivating me to start detailing myself.
I guess there is nothing more to add. Simpliest things are often the more effective ! Sometimes APC can also help cleaning up heavily clogged pads. What about 1:10 dilution for GS ? 1:5 is pretty strong, isn't it ? Nice video as always 😉
Yes exactly, APC also works great for polishing pads. 1:5 is pretty strong, I know, 1:10 will also work, especially since my tools really weren’t that dirty

One question concerning your foam gun or any other foam gun: isn’t it better to put the soap pure in the tank instead of mixing it with water? I mean the water comes from the pressure washer
How do you segregate your Microfibre towels, eg polish towels only or Coating towels with wash towels, or is everything batch a seperate wash as that’s a lot of washing! I currently split wheels/coating/polish into one pre soak bucket and wash towels / delicate items into another presoak bucket and then wash in washing machine next day!

You can wash them with either Dreft or an APC. This will pretty much get you same results. Just make sure to rinse well and squeeze out as much product and water
I spray a little bit of tar remover on a towel and gently wipe down the clay pad, mitt or towel. It will get rid of any gunk that might be on there . Never spray the tar remover directly on it

After it’s already done it’s toast but after you coated with them dunk them in a bucket with 2 oz of rags to riches for the rest of the day and wash them the next

I think something that needs to be mentioned, is not to use fabric softeners when washing your towels, right? I was stronly advised not to do that.
That’s right, therefore I only suggest using dedicated microfiber detergents like CARPRO MFX or P&S Rags To Riches

How do you "rescue" mf towels if used for ceramic coating?
You can't. Use them for very dirty tasks like maybe cleaning an engine block or an exhaust pipe but do never use them on paint or any interior parts.
