Best video for making these I have found. Love the self binding and agree that 1” is a must. Just made 3 and love them. Oh no fusible fleece on hand so I used remnant flannel and it worked great.
Love this version. It saves fabric because there is no need to cut binding.
I use small pieces of 1/4 inch double stick tape to secure the vinyl and keep it from slipping.

Thank you so much for using a safety glove when cutting. So many people on here don't and I recently was in hospital after cutting the tip of my finger off with a roller.
I learned my lesson the hard way with a trip to the ER two years ago.

I made seasonal face masks with two different fabrics using that miter corner and edging. I love this see-through bag, might try it!
I love love love this idea with the binding. I think everyone has problems with the plastic. if you have some tissue paper handy you can cut it into strips and put it on top while sewing your edges and it helps to keep it in line. love your tutorials!

Thanks for this. I love your simple explanations. I was doing really well until it came to the mitred corners, I think I made my borders too slim so it was too fiddly. Do you also have any other way of doing self binding mitred corners? (eg. for quilts). Many thanks.
I believe this is the only self binding tutorial I've done so far.
Directions were concise and easy to follow. However, Etsy site wanted too much info for a free download which I felt uneasy sharing.
Went to your site to download the PDF, but at check out it would not allow instant download. It showed it as processing. Took several hours before I could view it.
What gauge vinyl did you end up using just a thicker gauge?

Nope, I made 50+ bears in a year and got tired of it so I stopped making custom bears.
Tried to download pattern and registration wanted me to sign up for music that I pay for in 5 days?

A credit card number is not required. That box is only there because I used to sell my patterns and the website is still set up as if it is a shop.

A credit card number isn't needed. The patterns used to be for sale on my website so they are set up through a shop plug-in, but you can check out without adding any card info now that they are free.
