Tugs are such a bs test. You can literally just hold the brake and the other guy will spin all day and then you just drag him. How about get a 10-15k trailer and get a %10 grade and do time trials. Still a badass video tho!

I have seen trucks that lost and hook on 18, 000 or more pound trailor and pull it ...tugs doesn't prove any thing....but burn your tires up or trans.....

Although tug of war is based on wait, traction, and how level the ground is. A Cummins is pretty hard to beat, especially the old 12 valves with the manual transmission. Still 10/10 good video.

2004.5 bulletproofed. I'd drag them both in just 4 hi. Cant in 4 low due to shearing driveshaft splines on the regular. Anyone know a good upgrade for a 2500 cummins front shaft? I've already got the so called upgrade but I shared the splines off at just over idle in 4low. Them 90 horse sticks are talking. Lol
How much weight was in the 5.9 even the cab looked loaded!? That was more about weight/traction than anything... But the tug of war stuff isn't a great test anyway, to many variables with braking, weight, and tire slippage!
The old Cummins is about 500 pounds heavier and then the load that he had in the back I bet you that was close to a 800 pounds indifference. Put some wight in the Ford

I’ve watched this video multiple times and never commented how the fords curb weight is 6,478Lbs stock and the Rams is 5,211lbs stock if you add the 5-600 lbs to the dodge that would still be 5,711-5,811 add the lift and mods of the ford along with the tool box and every extra lb and the same with the ram, the ford would still be heavier on all 4s so no one can really say the ram had the advantage if anything the closest you could say is, it was even.

I would get better tuning than generic SCT tuning. Try looking into SPE tuning they are well known for 6.7 Powerstroke performance.

Love the video, but no one understands that the height of the Ford, box weight, and the fact the Ford just spun tires was all a major handicap for it... Tug of wars can be manipulated easily, do it again with two of the same setup trucks but different owners and it could be a different outcome
