Three-peat talk already? Jeezus, let them and us fans enjoy this one for a while. Why not wait until the players enter the NBA draft or the transfer portal? Then wait and see who's coming in as a freshman. THEN the three-peat discussion can happen, only it will be a legit discussion because we know who's on the team and who's not. Life moves fast enough. Castle can be very, very good. I think he'll be doing himself a disservice by leaving this year. He needs to work on his game, especially his shot. That would drive up his stock even more for next year.

As a Duke fan, 2025 will define Scheyer as a coach. If Duke doesn't get to the Final Four then we know for a fact that Scheyer can't coach. I haven't seen any true development on the players that Scheyer has coached.
Also, it will define if the ones and dones era is truly over.
As a UNC fan I can say the same about Hubert Davis at North Carliona

Karaban, Hassan and Samson need to stay and develop more to have a chance. All of the frosh other than Castle (who’s gone) have to do the same. They need a couple transfer to take over for Klingan and Cam. Then, those returning need to open up and study the playbook this summer and trust their coaches. They have a coaching system in place that is ahead of everybody else. The pieces are there and the formula and coaching staff is in place. It’s doable, but very tough. The goal has to be dominate conference and see what happens in the tourney.
