    Biggest takeaway is that UConn basketball is the new gold standard of the college game. This feels a lot like the beginning of a dynasty!

    I would argue spencer was all around better than hawkins. Better passer. Better rebounder. About the same from the 3 point line

      Spencer was easily the better all around player compared with Hawkins, but you'd expect that to be the case considering he's 2 years older and had 3 more years of D1 college experience under his belt.

    Also Castle more than replaced AJ so the addition of Castle and Cam more than made up for the loss of AJ and Hawk.

    To be clear, last year’s UConn team was great for most of the year. Heading into conf games, they were considered the best team in the country. Then, they had a rough 3 week stretch. But, they then recovered and were playing great heading into the tourney. Plenty of experts picked them to go the four and win the title.

    UConn seems to have the flexibility to change their game plans game to game as necessary ? That was Patriots Advantage for Years ? Weren’t locked in ? 🤔

    Huge fan of UConn, Dan Hurley, etc. but the Wooden UCLA teams are in a different realm of greatness.

      10 National Championships in 12 Seasons is the greatest accomplishment. I am also not a UCLA fan or alum, but guys, do your research and stop the hyperbole.

      @xtbum3339 I am not going to get into a back and forth, but the 1971-72 UCLA team went 30-0 and defeated opponents by an average of 30.3 ppg. They were fundamentally sound, and I believe they would also be dominant in this era.

      @JBeck33 2 месяца назад +1

      It’s a different era. UCLA was fantastic but you just can’t compare the two. What I say is that this two year run by UConn is the greatest of the modern era (since the tourney expanded to 64).
