Just remember when you add a stitch to widen a piece that has a border, you need to add a stitch to the top and bottom borders. As well, if you add a stitch to make something taller, then you need to add a stitch to the left and right borders.
I believe The Blackberry Rabbit is now Fox and Rabbit. I hope your procedure went well and I am sending prayers for a speedy recovery. I just love your projects and how your fabric choices work so well together with them. You have such an amazing eye for color. Thank you for the wonderful video.
Many well wishes for a successful surgery and an easy recovery. Your happy-go-lucky personality and positivity will definitely speed up the healing time. 👍🏻😊
Hello Laura🙂 All the projects you showed today were gorgeous, as always, but what really impressed me this time were all those amazing fabrics. Each project has a perfectly matching fabric, I love them🧵 Also those Mirabilias, so beautiful, especially Lavender, so elegant, and those delicate wings that you can see through, as you also said, just amazing🧚 Most importantly though I wanted to wish you everything to go well on Wednesday, and to have a really quick recovery. Looking forward to seeing you again 🥰🧵🪡
Really enjoyed this flosstube! If I had a dollar for every time I was off by a stitch… I’ve been a huge Star Trek fan since I was 13 (1979!) and started watching TOS in reruns on the weekend. Good luck with the surgery!
Hi Laura. I always smile when I see you’ve uploaded a video. You’re so much fun and you’re stitching is lovely. I also watch your quilting videos and I don’t quilt. I also have to say ‘thank you’’ for recommending the book What the Wind Knows. I absolutely loved it. Great story. Prayers that your surgery went well. God bless.
Just now getting to watch…..hope your surgery went well! The BeStitch Me Lunar is perfect for that pattern. Your stitching is absolutely gorgeous. Prayers for a speedy recovery. Until we meet again my stitchy friend🙏🌻
On your Greenhouse, I would make it one stitch wider at the bottom and blend it into the skirt & run the stitches up into the top part of the frame. Just re-adjust the few stitches that stick out at the bottom towards the empty area.
I just got to watch your video today and realized it's Wednesday. I hope your surgery went well and all is good. I'm sending you lots of healing vibes ✨️ rest and be good to yourself. 💫
Thankyou so much for your genuiness and honesty! You had me laughing empathetically with the difficulties counting and words!! I often have the same problems on my flosstube :)
Sci-fi July, what a fabulous idea! I'll have to try to remember that for next year, I know I have projects/patterns I could stitch that fit that! I hope your recovery is quick and smooth!
I love green so I totally think you should pick the green lady as your Bday stitch. 😊 I am eager to see how she come out on that fabric. I have seen people stitch on the S.King pattern and it seems Dense. But I bet your hubby will love it. :)
Im using Picture this Plus Valour for my Greenhouse SAL, it’s a beautiful atmospheric fabric in my opinion. Cross stitch and quilting has taught me quite well that I can’t count but that I am good at adapting! Hope your surgery and recovery went and is going well and that you are enjoying all your Sci-Fi stitches
Your September Sapphire Fairy will be stunning on that fabric! That’s weird about the ptp fabric; I’ve never heard of a fish smell before. Good luck with it! I’ll be wishing you well on your surgery and hoping for a speedy recovery. 🌷
All the best dear Laura, and very prompt recovery ❤️🩹. Enjoy the stitching time 🧵🪡 Love your Star Gazer, she is lovely indeed 🥰 See you soon, xoxoxo from Eastern 🍁 Canada 🇨🇦
Always lovely to watch your stitching progress. Love your vibes :). I'm still amazed at how you manage to toggle between so many projects. I'm already struggling to keep up with 3 projects.😅Best wishes for your surgery and the recovery!
First, good luck with your surgery tomorrow. Please take good care of yourself, I depend on your smiling face, curly hair and laugh to keep me going on the happy path. For the birthday choice I like the lightness and colors Lavender, but the drama of the other choice seems to be speaking to your heart.
I had some funky smelling fabric once. I just used febreze spray on it and let it hang in my laundry room for a week. It seemed to work well. Hope your surgery goes well 😀😀
Your Nantucket piece is terrific. I like how you chose your own colors as the original is muted. I think I may have to add that pattern; I would certainly choose bright, modern colors for it. I love these fabrics you are using or have slated for WIPs; they are amazing. Why can't more Aida be dyed like that? I was going to try Fortnight Fabrics to see if they stirred up the pot for those. Your Stargazer is phenomenal! For a pattern that's in neutrals and you used that cocoa brown for her, wow. I can't wait to see more of that Captains sci-fi piece. I love how your husband loves your Earth piece and how he liked it on IG and cute how you got him into Stephen King and into Star Trek.
Maybe you could put a fabric softener sheet like fleecy in that bag with the smelly fabric… Your pieces are beautiful. I started be stitch me fabric of the month too and love it !😊
I love your dyed fabrics. When you are fully recovered from your surgery, would you consider doing a tutorial or a video on how you dye your fabrics? I would love to but kind of afraid to start.
Have you tried putting a dryer sheet in the bag with the stinky fabric? It might help lift some of the funk. Wishing you well! Will be thinking of you and sending you healing thoughts for a smooth recovery.
The fish smell- YES. I had a fabric I bought from Hobby Lobby in a sealed plastic bag come out smelling like that! It was awful and I just shoved it away after trying to wash it and it still had the hint of the smell. I just pulled it out a year later and the smell is gone! So strange!
If the fabric still smells, you might try putting it in a sealed bag with a dryer sheet or two. I did that with some floss I bought that smelled like smoke, and it worked great to get the smell out.
All my positive thoughts and healing vibes go out to you my dear! I love both Lavender and Saphire! So beautiful 😍 Fishy fabric... ummm... no ?? Good luck - it is gorgeous and that chart will look amazing on it. I have not had that happen. So curious as to the why? LOL! Is 123 dealing in fish now? The Swamp from OFE will look perfect on that green fabric - I have that pattern as well - as usual - let me know when you would like to start - LOL!! #swampysal ??? 😁Your fabric dying continues to amaze me! The Star Trek fabric is - GAHHHHH!
So I’m laughing because I just shouted “ WHAT?” when you said your fabric smelled like fish. There’s one I haven’t heard before. My thought about the deodorizer is febreeze for fabric or pet odor. Fish is a pet. I also would consider oxiclean for colors. Since the dye on your fabric is set, that might be an option.Oxiclean will get to smells caused by proteins. Take care of yourself. Praying for your speedy recovery.
I'm far behind on flosstube videos, but if you're still having an issue with the smell in the fabric you can try spritzing it with vodka and letting it air dry. It's done an amazing job for me when nothing else has worked.
Really love the Garden Sampler by Carriage House, but the chart is pretty spendy for me. It seems that chart prices across the board have gone up a lot in this past year. I can only work with paper charts unfortunately, so PDFs, though less expensive, are not an option for me. I wish you the best on your upcoming surgery and hoping your recovery is speedy.
I can’t wait to see progress of the King House!!! Perfect for SciFi July! It’s such a satisfying stitch because with every little room feels like a mini finish. Thank you so much for the mention 🩷 sending all positive and healing vibes your way for Wednesday! 🫶🏻
Many prayers for a safe surgery and quick healing for you, Laura. I vote for the September Sapphire Fairy-you should celebrate your birthday in a big way!! We all are counting challenged at some point, but you’re right that unicorns are magical so he could be flying. And when it’s a greenhouse of oddities, that in itself would justify any crooked edges or things not lining up ☺️☺️☺️. Straight would be weird! Good luck on recovery and I look forward to seeing you back later in July. Hugs 🤗.
My day brightens when I see you have posted a new video! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work....and your smile. You sure are a talented gal. Sending prayers your way for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
Re the smelly fabric: I agree with your mother. They sold you stinky fabric. You tried to fix it by soaking it in baking soda but it didn;t work. If I buy something, in good faith, that I cannot use, I return it. You really should consider contacting the vendor and getting them to replace the defective piece.
I liked your reaction when you saw how Stargazer looks on the camera, it is also my reaction, because she is stunning. Wishing you speedy recovery after your surgery!
Happy thoughts for Wednesday and to a speedy recovery. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful projects. I took lots of notes of projects I need to get stitching. See you next time.
It is lovely to see your happy face again this week. I enjoy watching your videos and always end up with a list of patterns to check out. Good luck on Wednesday❤
You are an absolute delight to spend time with. I do hope your surgery goes well and am wishing you a speedy recovery. Thank goodness we have our stitching to help things along 💜💜💜
I agree Stephen King is an excellent writer. Your stitching is amazing, I love watching your channel. You have a great vibe and energy. I wish you a speedy recovery. ❤ I also purchased The Shell Seekers wish I am about to start reading.
I hope all goes well this week and you have a swift recovery! Starry Night is such a pretty pattern and it really does give Outer Worlds vibes (love that game!). And omg that galaxy dyed Aida you did is stunning! Stoked to see the progress on those Sci-Fi pieces :)
Hello. Your stitching is so lovely and your fabric choices are perfect. I enjoy stitching on PTP too. Best wishes for your surgery and the recovery. Love the sci-fi July theme.
So lovely visiting with you again. Your Sci-fi July is great idea. Through my husband and sons I have fallen for it too. Star Wars music and transformers movies take me to happy place of memories of cuddles on the couch with them. I really like Lavender by Nora Corbett and will have to add her to wish list. Hope surgery and recovery all go well and your hikes can happen again soon. Take care
I was stitching (and frogging) the Visitor watching you today. Apparently I can’t count either 😂. Loved seeing all your beautiful projects again. All the best for Wednesday. Take care ❤
So glad to see you. 123 stitch customer service is great. I would wash it for real first with soap and water. I am all for fudging- creative license. Good luck Weds. prayers for your quick recovery.
I skipped to the second half to hear about SciFi July! There are so, so many great patterns. I think I will join in if that's ok! Is there a hashtag? I have SciFi wips and a new start that I can get going on. Rewatching Next Gen now too! We seem to always have a rewatch going, rotating between Voyager, Next Gen, DS9. That Xfiles poster pattern looks fun. Oh UFO and rabbit is so cute! The Captains, too! Stargazer is beautiful. Excited to hear more SciFi talk next month! Ok, I will be back to watch the first half!
You are just such a delight and I love all your stitching! I hope you are recovering well from your surgery…wishing you a speedy recovery! 🙏❤️

My LNS is Reflections as well as I live in Omaha, Ne! Hope you are recovering from surgery and are on the mend!
The fabric for The Visitor is amazing :) I'm currently stitching it too but on the called for linen.
I use woolite clothes soap to wash all my stitching. It hasn't failed me yet.
Thank you for sharing 😊
I love your dyed fabrics. When you are fully recovered from your surgery, would you consider doing a tutorial or a video on how you dye your fabrics? I would love to but kind of afraid to start.
Good luck with your surgery - sending all the good juju!
🤸♀️ glad to see you
With clothing I have had good luck with soaking in vinegar and water for 24 hrs when it has bad odour...

I think I got it aired out enough to stitch on... but I will keep that in mind in case any odor returns. Thanks!
