Wow! I just purchased this Drone which came with one battery, Drone, charger and controller which pairs with a smart phone and I have seen others online use their tablet. I paid 149 btw and I watched a hell of a lot of reviews prior. It's my first Drone so I had a realistic expectation of it's strength's and weaknesses. I think it's a very good starter Drone for most. I had to stop this video when the complaint about the Drone Box not being large enough to take off from. Even if the box was larger, once you perform your take off it would take a very good and patient pilot to land it back there.
Thanks, it's a great flying quad that's the shame of it all, my youtube friend just bought one today with the controller for 160 on walmart's website, that's how far it's fallen. I paid 460, that really hurt. Thank's for stopping by.
I've had my breeze for months now and you are spot on. Totally marketed wrong! Mine did come with a controller for $150. They should have put that price on it to begin with. The breeze is so underrated for what you get in a quad.I can honestly say I've never had one problem out of mine. Good points you made here!👍
Great video and great acting skills. You' re right on the strategic decisions of this company. Even 300 dollars (conversioned to EUR) my personal opinion is that the acquisition price is still too much. Thanks for sharing. Robby.
I have to agree with you there, I hate the fact that there's even such a thing as a "selfie drone" category.. I want a gps photography drone, with a smaller size for easy travel, and longer range capabilities. Its probably not super possible bit it sounds practicle to me. The breeze seems to be the closest thing to that and I was lucky enough to obtain mine for less than 150 dollars
This quad could have been so great if it just had some decent range. But 340 feet just is not good enough. Trust me i paid 399 bucks for this thing so i'm feeling the pain.
I've seen some flight reviews of this one (one from SeBy DocKy comes to mind). Seems to fly okay and the video is good for "Electronically Stabilized Video" (no gimbal). You only get ESV in 1080P, so any 4K video will be affected by wind or any flight movements. As far as marketing disasters, I could mention a couple that would give this one a good "run for the money". Let's start with the Xiaomi MI drone (1st edition). There were so many problems with it, they finally pulled it from the market and re-designed it, fixed the App & made an English version, and its back on the market now. However, you know what they say about "You only get one chance to make a 1st impression", so Xiaomi has had to heavily discount the "new improved" version of the MI. The other one that comes to mind is GoPro's Karma. Again, serious problems (which should have been caught in testing & R&D) plagued the 1st release, so they recalled them, and now its back out there again .. and again, at reduced prices. Unfortunately, because most of these Chinese manufactures think that "speed to the market" is more important than "bringing a quality product to the market". I've lost count on how many times I've seen the obvious problems ignored. Oh well. I think that its great that guys are willing to do "Reviews" on RUclips, and let others see what they are getting for their bucks. Sometimes you have to read between the lines on the reviews, but, usually, flaws stick out even above the praises of the reviewer. Thanks for "Telling it like it is". Cheers.
i just bought my breeze from walmart brand new for $150 and im happy as hell so far. mine didnt come with the spare battery but it did come with the controller. batteries are only $21 each at my local walmart so wont take much to get a few extras. yeah im glad i didn't pay the original price (no clue why any one with half a brain would), but even if i had, i wouldn't go to the lengths of locking myself up in my car so my family cant hear me and spending 17 minutes ranting about it as if the company's marketing effects me in ANY way. granted the rant was funny to watch, but damn man you're acting like yuneec wiped their ass with your pension check or something. i do agree with you on the case though, considering the fact that mine actually came with the controller, you'd think they could've found a way to add a place to store it inside the case... along with the charger and spare props. i understand they were going for something compact but if you still have to carry the charger, controller, props and your phone separate it kinda defeats the convenience angle.
I think they put it out knowing people will buy. I got one and I do like it. However I wish the video was more stable. Also I've crashed it a lot, and it still flies.
You couldn't be more right, they could have owned the so called selfie drone market with just a few small fixes you mentioned, better flight range, I would have bought it if it had 400 meters range and a TX in the box, and not just a bluetooth TX but a real radio TX which would also have solved their range issue. But I held off buying because I knew what would happen, DJI would study the mistakes Yuneec made, fix them and put a cherry on top, the gesture controls. Now Yuneec will have to discount the Breeze to get rid of remaining inventory and either come up with a improved Breeze 2 or just cede the market to DJI. Great rant Sir.
You have a great channel, I've been following for awhile. PerthwestOZRC told me to watch this video. He knows I was interested in the Spark and have since purchased the Spark.
Have fun with the spark, I for now will stick with the Breeze, It's a lot better with the controller. I was thinking about the Spark but because I have the Breeze I think I will get the Mavic.
I'm waiting for the Mavic Pro 2 to arrive so I can get the first Mavic at a big discount. That being said since I already had a Phantom 4 for when I wanted to do some 'serious video work and some long distance flying' the Spark seem like the perfect companion quad for when I didn't want to take something as large as my P4 with me. It take very stable and great looking 1080p video, and very clean jpeg photo's. I already find I use it more than my P4, you can use anywhere and almost no one pays you any attention, especially police and security guards. They just think It's just a little red toy drone, but if I pulled out the P4 and starting setting that up a red fly would go off, there is one of those spy drones, this is going to be trouble.
I bought a Breeze end of February. Wifi connectivity SUCKED on iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPad 4. Lost video, telemetry, and flight control on all three devices at less than 100 feet in an open clear field. I was pretty pissed so I took it back and exchanged it for another one hoping that it might have been a defect. I will be testing it today. Ps don’t call Yuneec it’s usually a 45 min wait for clueless tech support. Take it back for exchange or refund.
Lol 😂 you officially made my mind up on not getting it & it came with the remote for $200 new! I appreciate the honest review, I'm gonna stick with my hubsan h501s & h501ss for now, I like being able to go out 900+ meters. I was almost sold because of the 4k & gimbal feature, but with the lack of range it's useless to me, the cons are out numbering the pros.
This for sure Chris, I said it was a Marketing Disaster not a bad Drone. it's way better than the promark. just make sure you get the controller. If you have any questions after you get it stop by.
HA HA HA Without work there is no quads. I pay for my stuff, no freebies here. If I were getting this crap for free I bet I would not be running over the quads with my car.
Would you say that paying $200 on Black Friday a good deal for the photo quality? I want to use it to take possible shots for my college, like Instagram and stuff.
I loved the rant!!!! I am just like you were saying, I wouldn't buy a drone without a controller and I absolutely won't buy one with goggles!!! I could care less about FPV. I wish all the cameras on quads that are wifi also had SD card slots. I haven't seen a wifi camera so far, other than on real expensive quads, that doesn't have issues with choppiness. Keep up the honest reviews!!! Juddie
Walmart had 'em for $199 with controller...had to pick up a couple...extra batteries were reasonable as well... and i don't fit the category you described for the marketing target...lolzz (and it IS rock solid in the air!)
If they came up with a real controller like the spark and modified their software to increase the geo fence distance or eliminated the geo fence...it would truly be outstanding!....still a lot of fun as it is!
The Range is what it is, I don't think that will ever be addressed by Yuneec. But with the controller it flies nice and takes very nice video, so I guess we will have to live with that.
Those are really good points! If they changed their target market and adjusted the price accordingly it coulda been a big hit..I've also thought the controller was built wayyy to similar to an Xbox/console remote ..it seems to me that they focus more on making it look like a gaming remote rather than being a functional drone controller.. love your vids! Keep them coming!
Lmao true drone!!! Lmao! You had me fuckn rolling! I just bought one of these today for 150 with the Bluetooth remote! Only one battery though... with they had a gps enabled remote it would be just as good or better than the spark
I too love the rant. I had a cell phone. I hated it. I threw it away and bought the contract out. I don't need to phone home to ask what brand of peanut butter to buy. The wifi a/b/c/g/n crap has turned me off on the Breeze. Add that to the 8gb storage and the Breeze is about worthless for 1080P anyway.
I love the drone its is well made and the case is a definite deal breaker , but the fact that you have to use your phone to control it absolutely sucks...almost makes worthless
Seems you have some serious confusion about where Design ends, and Marketing begins. Marketing has nothing to do with dark surface takeoff, size of the box for a takeoff surface, max range, GPS quality, etc.etc.
When you have 4 drones, and you come out with another drone, you do not want to sell to the same market. Your goal is to find NEW customers and fit a new NICHE that way you don't dilute sales with the same old customer! when you do this you have spent a lot of money for new engineering, molds, boards, etc... for nothing. When you waste money on a new product and you do not grow sales you rob from your bottom line. So what you do is get your technology you have and figure a new group, and start taking away and adding features tell you find a product that best meets that market groups desired features for a good price! this allows you to use existing technology and find new buyers! I have Three Breeze Drones and find them great for beginners, i also have other brands which cost less are more complicated, but this drone is not a dragster but a higher performance option for someone to learn on, Their marketing is superior to DJI.
You make a great point, but you still have to put some of the features that your customer base wants. Case in point DJI with the spark. the spark is just the breeze with the power features.

Talk about a marketing mistake, you need to look at the Spark. The Breeze continues strong even with the competition.
Thanks for Stopping by Gene, I'm not grumpy, I just tell the truth which you are most likely not used to hearing from most drone channels. They get paid to blow smoke up your ass I don't.
Totally agree. The Spark? It doesn't even do 4k - and yes a gimbal would have ben nice, but a Spark sells for what $600? The review kind of reminds me of Nick Cage "A-B-C-D...." or even better "No, not the Bees!!! Not the Bees!!!"

Excellent Review Thanks.
I love this man way to go. U made my night buddy

Thanks for watching, I like my breeze it’s good for what it does. My main gripe was the marketing, I never said the drone was bad.
Some good points. I liked your point of view.
Thanks, it's a great flying quad that's the shame of it all, my youtube friend just bought one today with the controller for 160 on walmart's website, that's how far it's fallen. I paid 460, that really hurt. Thank's for stopping by.

PalmettoMoon I have also never had a problem, it flies great. It’s just a little slow, but I understand them keeping the speed down.
I so need one of those, be perfect for quick Ariel's.
Big drone flyer77
Ariel? isn't that the lil mermaids name?... you perv....lol
Road Kill lmao😄
Great video and great acting skills. You' re right on the strategic decisions of this company. Even 300 dollars (conversioned to EUR) my personal opinion is that the acquisition price is still too much. Thanks for sharing. Robby.
True
Great honest review bud 👍
LMAO...
A FLYING FIDDLERS FUCK.... I thought I was the only 1 to ever say that....
They were smart because people did pay the $499. When it first come out. Now you can get it at Walmart for $199. With the controller.
I have to agree with you there, I hate the fact that there's even such a thing as a "selfie drone" category.. This was a $200 black Friday Walmart item that has sold out. You nailed it on your facts, but its defiantly a success. Great video!
Thanks Jeremy
Jeremy Wheeler I had to go to 3 different Wal-Mart's in Chicago to get one.
Christopher Herman there available online. Same price. In stock today to.
yeah I saw where someone posted the sell online, I went down the road to the nearest Wally and bought one. Awesome buy.
I agree as well great buy...I have a Q500 4K as well, now I'm waiting for the H to go on sale.📩

LOL hope you arent locked up in the car ranting about how much cheaper i got it WITH the remote now.
the breeze opened up a new market in my opinion.
Thanks for stopping by.

I'm trying to choose between this and a promark gps shadow drone.. they are about the same price. Which one would you go with??
This for sure Chris, I said it was a Marketing Disaster not a bad Drone. it's way better than the promark. just make sure you get the controller. If you have any questions after you get it stop by.
Oh Best Buy has it on sale with controller for 249.99 Canadian, is it worth?
yes
You forgot the comparability issue with the WiFi devices to operate on 5ghz instead of 2.4GHz.
LOL tell it brother!!!! Good point!!!!! Dan
You the man Dan, I have been so busy because of this heat wave, I do a/c repair, I have not had time to do shit.

Holy crap, we need them reviews brother, but hey, work comes first!!!
HA HA HA Without work there is no quads. I pay for my stuff, no freebies here. If I were getting this crap for free I bet I would not be running over the quads with my car.
"It's like Trying to sell dragsters to Amish" if that is not the best sentence that has ever been said I don't know what is!!!
Agree 100% on the blunder! I've wiped my ass with my tp app, not that good definitely not that fresh feeling
Would you say that paying $200 on Black Friday a good deal for the photo quality? I want to use it to take possible shots for my college, like Instagram and stuff.
It takes great video, make sure you get the controller. it's a nice quad it was just over priced at 499
I loved the rant!!!! I am just like you were saying, I wouldn't buy a drone without a controller and I absolutely won't buy one with goggles!!! I could care less about FPV. Everything you said about these drones are true plain and simple, anybody says different are blind and deaf, lol
Walmart had 'em for $199 with controller...had to pick up a couple...extra batteries were reasonable as well... and i don't fit the category you described for the marketing target...lolzz

The controller is a rebranded GameSir G3 running Yuneec's firmware
waf4545 you're correct! I just googled it
Lmao true drone!!! Lmao! You had me fuckn rolling! I just bought one of these today for 150 with the Bluetooth remote! Only one battery though... with they had a gps enabled remote it would be just as good or better than the spark
I'll never buy a drone without the controller..

For some reason mine has 16gb maybe it's a special edition lol
😂😂😂😂😂😎☕ Your right tho
I love the drone its is well made and the case is a definite deal breaker , but the fact that you have to use your phone to control it absolutely sucks...almost makes worthless
Yep, You have to get the controller, then it flies great
Toilet paper phone...gonna go invent that now
Seems you have some serious confusion about where Design ends, and Marketing begins.
Marketing has nothing to do with dark surface takeoff, size of the box for a takeoff surface, max range, GPS quality, etc.etc.
Thanks for watching
BTW folks $299 at local walmart with controller...almost too good of a deal to pass up.
It's good but get the controller.
$200 yesterday at Wally, with controller, plus $50 for two spare batteries.
So buy? Yes? No buy? No?

It does now, but when the breeze launched it was 499. i'm glad you got it for 199. have fun
What an opinionated grumpy old man you are. Ease up, Dad. The Breeze defined a whole new market segment in the drone industry. True Drone Reviews then why da fuck did you buy one?
Ghosttjr2 He actually likes the quad, just commenting on how it was marketed.
Too bad they put a 100 meter geo fence on it that can be disabled, otherwise this would be an even better drone than the spark.
LMAO. Hey Mr. Magoo you the real deal for sure. Haha lol
Is this Guy having a nervous breakdown or something?
Geez, next time tell us how you really feel. :)
Toilet paper app ….ROFL!!!!!
ROTFLMAO
bs
Your right, there marketing was total BS
Boy were you wrong
Robert Smith No, you are. Yuneec lost there ass on this thing. It’s selling now for 149 with the controller. It started out at 499 without. You don’t see DJI lowering there prices by 75 per cent.
