This is the best tutorial I have ever seen. I am a 1st timer, and just got an Air 3. I am going step by step thru your video with my drone and controller. So very helpful. Thank you for doing this.
Gotta agree with some of the other posters - this IS the best tutorial I have ever seen. I'm not going to even open my Air 3 until I've watched the tutorial at least twice. So much good information, so much detail ... and so little of the "blah blah guys this, blah blah guys that" typical of the tutorials I've found. Thanks for the help!
Best, most helpful, how-to description of starting with a DJI Air 3 for someone who has never flown a drone. Thank you for not glossing over parts that may be obvious for someone with previous drone experience.
Jeven you have really helped me get up and running with my Air 3 and RC-2 controller. I have watched tuns of videos and none have been as through and complete. Thanks man! Going to watch more of your content and try more things out thanks to you. I had a Phantom 3 Pro awhile back but this drone is just mind blowing and I know far from the top of the line still.
I have never flown a drone, started to watch DJI's videos they supply on their app (dubbed in english) and thought there has to be someone better that can show me how to do this. You explained everything so clearly, I took notes and now feel confident. I also love how authentic you are. you were out in the hot sun with backpack and the next shot you are still in same shirt - with sweat marks from backpack still there. well done. stay real :)
Thanks! So much great info.. buying this today. Made the mistake of buying the Avata 2 yesterday, tried it today, taking it back... the Air 3 is so much better for my needs
Jeven, that was perfect. The most indeath beginner guide I've come across. I had everything up in running right after watching. Thanks for making this available.
Extremely well put together video. Indepth, concise, and clear! Your video is one of the best I have seen on a DJI drone because of the detail and examples you provide for each feature you talk about. I stumbled on you searching for Air 3 but as a 3 pro owner as well, this video has a lot of content applicable to that drone too. Excellent!
Wow ! My head is still spinning with all this information on this drone , I’m only just starting to learn about the Dji air 3 and this video was excellently put together even I could understand it , thank you so much I’ve learned a lot from this . Subscribed ! Cheers mate from Sydney Australia 🍺👍🏻
This was a great video thanks dude! I've been diving down this rabbit hole for about a year. I just got my air 3 last week and its amazing. the main thing I took away from this was the features, functionalities, all the different shots that I can use for content creation, and telling a story. keep up the good work.
You really covered the bases on this one!! You always seem to be thorough and concise, but I'm just really thankful, at how un-selfish you are about sharing your skills and information. I've always looked at you that way, but I'm also glad that you've put this school deal together, not only, so we can get more varied information, but you can make some money for all of your hard-earned work. I just bought the Air 3, partly based on some of your reviews about it and I truly love it, so far. There's a lot of bang for your buck with this drone, and I learned a ton of stuff from this video. Much, much thanks again, for all that you do. Marc Trainor.
Great detailed video! You literally left, no stone unturned. Oddly enough, what stood out for me was the way you displayed the controller with the adventure journal, the partial pic of the mountain, and the drone and camera lens partially displayed from the corners. Again, it just really stood out in my mind. Awesome job my friend!!
Just got an Air 3 as my very first drone. I've been watching lots of Beginners Guide videos, and they're all pretty good, but yours is easily the best. Thanks!
@@hightimes3814 I do use it but not frequently. I have a lot going on lately and can rarely break it out (it's been almost a month since I used it last). That ought to improve a little soon. I'm still very happy with it.
What am amazing spot you have there👏🏻👏🏻congrats on this amazing tutorial. I truly wish you all the best and success in life whatever you choose to do🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great video! Very thorough and clear. One thing to add about the battery charger pack, you can use a partially charged battery to top up another battery so you can fly with a full charge… essentially ‘sliding’ a charge from one battery to another.
I'm a drone pilot from Zimbabwe and I just picked up the Air 3 Combo. I can't thank you enough for this in-depth course Jeven! I've been flying the Mavic Air 2 for a couple of years now and was in desperate need of an upgrade! Can't wait to see more content like this : )

Amazing video brotha Im new to Air 3 that is on it's way to me. I appreciate your very long great informative video & keep up the great work. You also have a new subscriber here. So well done. the editing the explaining the go through on the video itself phenomenal work man
Thanks for the very detailed video. I just received my Air 3. This video was very helpful. The one aspect that was not covered was battery charging out of the box. The Air 3 does not come with any power brick which leads a first-time buyer concluding that any usb-c charger brick or computer usb-c port will work. Sort of, if you want to wait 12-24 hours just to charge a single battery. To charge the batteries in a reasonable amount of time, a 65+ watt charger is required.
Hi Jeven, can you also move the subject position on the screen (more to the left/right, or Up/down) like in Spotlight, with Active tracking or POI. Thx
Hi Jeven, I recently had mine delivered and I love it! This vid is awesome and covers absolutely everything you need to know. Fantastic effort to put this together, must have taken ages to edit! Thanks! 🙂
One thing you didn't mention is that when you first do your unboxing and turn on your controller and drone is to immediately check for controller/drone updates.
Mate! What a video. This was the most helpful run through I’ve seen. Everything in detail and super easy to understand and follow. Thank you so much. Subbed and liked :)
Great video, really learned a lot. Got a question though, maybe I missed it. What if I use the tracking while riding my motorcycle or bike and the battery is done for. The homepoint will be far away, which means you have to ride back to get the drone. Can you have it set up so that is comes back to where ever the controller is or something?
Wow ! A terrific tutorial. I intend to buy one soon. If your drone is way out there, and you spot an object on the ground that you want to visit, can it mark a GPS point for you so you can hike there ? Thanks
awesome video, a complete guide. my question has to do with recording and editing. The H265 is 10 bit DLog, best for recording, but not for editing. Can you describe *how* you transcode to an intermediate codec for editing (eg ProRes).
Just purchased my DJI Air 3 today, should arrive next week. Im brand new to drones and this video has been extremely helpful to say the least. One question I have, when you film yourself on the motorcycle, where is the controller?
Excellent presentation, mine arrives today via Amazon, but "big but", need to a get a minimum 100w power supply which should charge a battery* in about 1 hour, so I purchased an Anker 737 from Amazon rated at 120w as neither the DJI recommended 65w & 100w power supplies are available from the DJI shop or anywhere else apart from fleabay? * Not found any information on how long it will take to charge all three batteries when installed in the hub and of interest when charged in the drone DJI says the power is limited to 65w and therefore expect an 80 minute charge time.

Hallo Jeven, thanks for your excellent video and information. But for me as a beginner it is also very importment how to install the SD card into the drone and controller,is there only 1 way.If i do it wrong it could be damage. Thanks
Those fluids smooth slow motion sweeps that you did in the beginning of this video of the desert was that done with this drone does this drone shoot 120 frames per second at 4 k is that how you got that slow motion?
With the new controller, are you required to download the map of any area you are flying in? Or are you able to receive mapping information from a cell phone connection? I’ve never used the DJI controller with the build in screen. All my previous DJI drones utilized my cell phone
I just bought the Air 3 to replace my Mavic 3 Pro because the subject tracking in the Mavic - especially with cars - is quite bad. My Air 2S was far more reliable for that. So thanks for this video, Jeven. I must dig back into your Creator School to learn more about colour grading. 👍
Hi - great and efficient video! Just got my drone today, but am a bit worried about the Emergency Propeller Stop function talked about around 36:16. It feels risky that a fairly normal combination of input from the joysticks will cause the drone to simply stop and hence cause the drone to fall to the ground? Is it a way to turn this off? If I want to move the drone left and backwards at the same time as I want to lower it and pan to the right.... it will just fall out of the sky...?
I am surprised we haven't had a video yet, of someone taking this new drone with the new OcuSync 4 on a true range test. I can't be the the only one wondering if it can pull up to the 12 mile range DJI is claiming on the new drone. Pretty confident on that range test, it most likely won't make it back and will need a spotter to help retrieve it on the return home.
I just saw one on the salt flats, but it ran out of battery just before it ran out of signal. I think he kept it low too, about 130 - 150'. It still got out over 50,000' away though, pretty much just over 10 miles if I remember right. He had cruise control set at 46mph at once point. It was pretty impressive.

Great video! Can you please also make similar guide for new dji air 3s?🙏
Unreal video! Thanks for the help, from Hartlepool.
One question, can this thing take portrait photos to upload straight to social media?
Hallo Jeven, thanks for your excellent video and information. But for me as a beginner it is also very importment how to install the SD card into the drone and controller,is there only 1 way.If i do it wrong it could be damage. Thanks
Great video, I just got an Air 3 and it's my first drone. Honestly, my biggest concern is where to fly without pissing other people off
Thank you... I will be back to watch more of your videos...
Are you making a separate video on how to screen capture video from the controller? You mentioned it's possible, but then didn't tell us how.
Good gosh man! What a great detailed video! I purchased Mavic Pro 2 day 1 and have loved it. Looking to replace it with Air 3.
Firmware update fixed it and now it's the Drone to add to your movie making experience... mavic 3 Pro!
Super comprehensive, fantastic video.
Solid tutorial bro!! 🔥
