SULLY IT TOOK ME 63 YRS TO SEE YOU AND THE BAND ONEOF MY BEST SHOWS. I HAVE SEEN BANDS LIKE LED ZEP. PINK FLoyd QUEEN AND OTHER TOP BANDS AND SULLY YOU WERE AMAZING THANKYOU
First time I saw Godsmack was April 1999 in Austin, Texas at LaZona Rosa. So, the band is playing Thunderkiss 65 to finish the set, and Sully flipped his mic stand and busted Tony's head wide open with it. Tony keeps playing as help comes in to clean up his cut. The whole time he's getting his head cleaned up, he just keeps playing! I waited 14 years to finally meet Sully in 2013 and asked him if he remembered that happening and he looks at one of his tech guys and busts out laughing and goes "Holy shit! You remember that show??!!" Sully remembered. I wonder if Tony does.
I wouldn't listen to anything Godsmack put out 20 + year ago and hated this dude , 20 + years later its all I listen to and I love the guy !!! I don't know I don't but times have changed a lot for me and I hear things I need to hear in his music to keep me going!! thank you Sully
Hi Brian, well, I could see why. I had a bad image of Sully all those years ago too because I was brought up much differently than he was and became more disciplined than he showed. I think over time he has matured a bit. Does he still say things and act a certain way in public that may be grotesque? If you watch the live performances, yes, but he's more restricted. He admitted during this thing that life around his daughter began help appreciate other points of view and get rid of his selfish antics and immaturity and that's a good thing. Some people it takes time for them to grow. His last couple albums honestly show a sign of strength and that's something he needs. It's not surprising to me now with this that he's not just a showman anymore and he's settling down.
I've waited for decades to tell you, that when I was sick from Radiation. Your band inspired me to get back on track! I hope I can write a letter to express how much your band means to me! Thank you, Sully!
I literally am here today and stopped myself form doing something very stupid because of Godsmack. Listening to the song Shinedown more times than I can count saved my life.
@@mrhoffame I'm thankful you're still here. I'm certain that this floods the band with joy, know their music reached you in such of a positive heightened state. Stay strong my friend and a big hug for you!
You are so adorable! You make my day! I missed you in Milwaukee & Green Bay this year (2023). I was hoping to get to one of your Wisconsin shows. Under Your Scars is amazing and the foundation is truly beautiful. My daughter has Cerebral Palsy and the song brings tears every time I hear it. It reaches all my emotions and comforts me. I had to play it on the Eve of her 33rd birthday, which was October 3rd, 2 days ago. Nobody knows. My last son and child is going into the mental health field, because he was/is struck deeply by the increased and climbing mental health issues, suicide, and etc. He’s currently a junior at University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Anywho, from my hometown Bostonian heart ~ thank you, Sully Erna… thank you. ❤️🥰😘 oh… p.s. 🤣😂 Do you have the Red Sox photos that were in the loaves of bread back in the day? I loved Fred Lynn!
Thanks for all you do for mental health @sullyerna. You helped this morning when my fiancé and I were woken up to one of her friends going through an aggressive depression moment. I was able to draw from your and @brentsmith episode along with my own self experiences to help her get him to a calm space. Without these resources, it would be much harder to help people face depression and like warriors find our way to the calm spaces
I have a T-shirt from playing at the Hempstock Festival in Maine 1998. You guys played the same night that we did. Our band was Toychest. Fun times and great memories ❤

I know a lot of people are tired of being stuck at home due to COVID-19, but I'm really enjoying these Hometown Sessions and virtually hanging out with Sully so I'm hoping it last a bit longer. Stay safe everyone. Can NOT wait for the next Godsmack album
I wanted to thank you so much for the music i m so apreacitive there really isn't any way to thank you no there's not really anyway to thank always a fan C.J.
Hello Sully, I don't know if you'll read that. I just wanna say I'm a big french fan of your music. 2 Years ago I discovered your album Avalon (and also Hometown life thereafter) and it was a real musical revelation. The year zero of my new life as a musician. You changed the way I understood music and I thank you so much for that. Now I really know how to feel the music.
This is my first live with you, but hearing you talk I could definitely tell you were from Mass because my hubby is a from CT and lives in RI, got the same accent, he's also a die hard fan of you and Godsmack. I have to say the change of gear going with a more subtle version of music compared to your more alternative, love both sides, but I wasn't expecting the amazing voice for slower songs you have. Under your Scars is a huge favorite, but loving all of that mixing with piano/classic instruments your using in all these newer songs it really plays of each other amazingly. Anyhow, I love all of the music you are putting out keep it coming especially the classical mix in there. P.S. definitely want that gym it's awesome!!!
Oh shite, just sold an 86 ibanez pl2660 that I turned into a Haida/Tlingit tribal totem inspiration as an art piece on my wall. I'll have to think of something. Cool to see some enjoy pieces as art. I need 2 more rooms, 1 for jamming and another as big as the studio for my healing/zen den. Sizing down and in town vs. the mountain and 7k sq ft, I'm adjusting. Fun to see my friends doing vids or going live online. Amazing as much as COVID separates us, we really get to know so much more about our friends than we would have.
Lost a family member a good while back - India Spainhour whose family are from Murphreesboro, TN. I miss her like crazy but I’m just glad she doesn’t have to hurt anymore. For the record, I hope I spelled the city name correctly as I don’t live in Tennessee.

Great idea on the touring, very smart!! If you get a chance come to Newfoundland, Canada we'd love to have you!!!
