This is awesome! Gives a real dino/animal instinct vibe to the whole Map. In the isle right now being in the open can actually save you, since getting stuck on rocks and trees and bad turn radius is a thing, while here being hidden is a giant priority to survival! I love the feel of this, can't wait to play!

Shit man forgot about nesting. Imagine hiding your nest in the bushes and trying to keep your babies quiet next to the huge fucking hungry gator. Fun part is that the gator will still have some problem finding babus
i've got a very good feeling it will be done this month or very early next month. QA has gotten 3 new builds these past 7 days, they are progressing very very fast.
I dont know, but for sure it is this year before September, so it is gonna be prob june-july, and maybe early August :p

The swamp looks delicious. If you've ever watched great herd migrations in Africa, or gazelles fleeing a predator through not-so deep water, only to be snatched and dragged under the surface by a crocodile, this is the exact feeling I'm getting from Dondi wading and swimming through this as a utahraptor.

I wonder if tenonto will be a fast swimmer because of it’s huge powerful tail... like how a croc uses it’s tail to launch itself out the water into the air for a couple of feet up into the air and swim at high speeds

Its the fishlens that causes the tail to look that much longer than in the editor / concept.
It wont look that long when you see it from afar.

Eee!! Dondi has spoiled us recently, I feel! The map is looking so gorgeous and realistic! I couldn't help but giggle at his quips regarding the shrubs and water levels. Every time I see more, I just get all the more excited for when we, as players, will get to experience yhebfresh breath of life being put into The Isle.

diana shepherd exactly, the tail is so long it almost looks goofy. I know it had a long tail in real life, but it’s tail in the game is like 2.5 times longer than the other half of the body lol

If you didn't notice there are new blood patterns on the screen when you get hurt shown when he spawns the deino
While the Tenonto looks awesome, I just can't shake the feeling that something about Utahs movement seems a little off. It looks kinda stiff.

I feel like the tails are very “wiggly.” They feel lizard like and not dinosaur like. The tails are also in your face constantly. I hope they turn down the wiggle on the tails.
Bryce’s YT Account yeah I do too and also Tenontosaurus tail kinda looked a bit to long from how it’s supposed to be, Tenontosaurus had an enormes very muscular tail that was longer that it’s own body, but this one is almost as long as two Tenontosaurus from head to hind legs
@@valeriepugh1639 We'll see what happens when the update is released. At the moment, I agree, it looks like the animations aren't quite polished, and new [tail and turn/skid] physics are still being tuned.

diana shepherd you sure about that? It look pretty fast in the video and aren’t Utah and Tenonto almost completely done? I heard rumors not to long after posting this comment that it indeed be as fast or just a bit slower than Utah
They kind of added Teno for Utah so, they're both speedy

I don't think they want another port situation. Dinosaurs will have to move around the map, staying in one place is not how the game is meant to be played.

Certain dinos will thrive in certain areas of the map, yes. That's because different kinds of food is located in different areas of the map and dinos are supposed to have a more spesific diet in the new version

The Utah looks pretty stiff when it's moving. And it's fast as fuck boi.

Tenonto could not be anymore perfect! And are they going to fix dieno a tail when it goes into water? On the way in it’s tail just clips into the shore
Deino is still rough WIP, like just about anything shown in any stream by the devs, so yes they will fix it when they add IK to the game
So Isla Spero won’t be our first new map? Is it due to the fact that people wouldn’t be able to server shard due to its size?

The Tenonto tail is so long, not sure if i like it. I would like to see it from the perspective of something else to see if it just looks weird on 3rd person cam.
Yeah, its very weird. Imagine if something ambushes you from the back, if its fast enough it can just grab your tail and kill you lol.

What i dont understand is why dont they do many smol Updates and not 1 massive update i Think we will wait another year for it xD
Because on their end, they deleted the entire game except for some art assets and models, and they have rebuilt the game from the ground up because the codebase left over from the former programmer turned out to be far too fragmentary and unreliable for them to fix.
In other words, if they had pushed even a fragment of what they have done into the current build of the game, you’d have a game that might not even manage to show you the main menu
Edit: forgot to mention that they have also udpated to a much more recent version of the Unreal Engine, and all but guarantees that the game wouldn’t even start if they had done small updates.

The swamp in all honesty seems a little too shallow in some places close to shore for anyone playing Deino to actually make much of an ambush without being seen really early
And there no trees or vegetation to hide with right now, wait for don to get done with it.

They are finalized for now, but that doesn’t mean that they will never be changed or adjusted. I’m not even sure Dondi has imported the newest ones as all he really needs are map-assets and foliage to make maps with

They deleted the codebase for the old game, they are rebuilding the entire thing from the ground up with the exception of some models and stuff. Concider all the old bugs solved and start thinking of potential new ones instead

Unfortunately, I have zero interest in BoB, and PoT is being made by someone I have little to no faith in, so I’m waiting for reviews before even concidering picking it up. I wouldn’t hold my breath, but if they somehow make that certain 2017-codebase actually work, I might have a look

Anyway, graphics are very nice, good job to developpers ! We did well to wait more ^^ Only 1 thing I saw are some little freeze, and fps which were getting bad during some seconds when he was running. I'll pray to not have this while playing
He stopped in the very beginning and explained that the reason for the relatively bad performance is that alot of the foliage he used to build the entire area didn’t have any level of detail scaling, so even things 1km away were being rendered in full detail as if it was within a meter from the camera.

How would you ever find players with so much plants and shit? And how would you even chase them thru it?
Ideally your prey shouldn't have a chance to run. Things that live in dense jungles like tigers/jaguars aren't pursuit predators, they jump out at something and if it gets away- it's usually gone.

@@Metamorphoryth i rather have a chase then having to perfectly stealth attack him cuz no one will stay in the open for such a long time giving me enough time to sneak all the way up to him, if i see him from a far, he will get away 100% and its still a game so i dont really like that that he will have no hard time escaping
